Has anyone (especially Tiger users) tried the new patch 1.02 yet?
If so, has it solved anything?

Same here, 10.5 OS and about 7 days that I don't connect cause the BUGS and crash (I really tired of this). Any news? the game still crashing in version 1.02? Better if I sell my chars?
In patch notes I see:
Mac
* An issue causing the client to crash and corrupt the settings has been resolved.
* Playing order of the jukebox on the Mac client has been corrected.
is this true?

after undertaking all the advice in this thread;
delete prefs, restart, turn off audio, lower gfx etc.
i have found it more stable when running in windowed mode than running in fullscreen...very odd. i have run it a window with no crashes at all since yesterdays 1.0.2 update.
my system; imac 2.66ghz/4gb ram/ATI radeon/snow leopard
this might help some people here to get the client running of sorts

Okey Dokey, I've spent all day downloading the full install of Eve, which will hopefully be V1.02.
It's going to take me a couple of hours to finish installing etc.
I will be trying it on my Macbook Pro running TIGER (10.4.11).
I will let you all know how it goes. If it fails I won't be playing until well into the new year when I can afford to go out and buy the Snow Leopard Family pack.
Wish me luck chaps, I'm going in!

Alas... I was happy with a few days uninterupted... well, three days and just now my THIRD PREFERENCES crash in the last three days... CCPs getting CLOSER
but still missing it... any ideas people?

As far as I know Tiger is a no go with Dominion (at least it is for me). I'm planning on getting Snow Leopard, probably after the holidays.

Still crashing on Tiger without showing splash screen etc.
I tried this download eve-premium_003259_120813-mac.dmg (from 15th of december I believe).
The crash is pretty early in the objective c library:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x7541536e
Thread 0 Crashed:
0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x90a59380 objc_msgSend + 16
1 com.transgaming.EVEOnline 0x80002036 start + 54
All last downloads since begin of Dominion crash at/with the same address (0x7541536e).

Actually it was not supported as of Apocrypha. And it has been announced several months before Apocrypha was released.
Some people did manage to have the Apocrypha client run on Tiger (or on white mac books or on minis or on hackintoshes or whatever). But that was by pure chance and they were doing it at their own risk.

Where are we at with this? I've been playing with no issues whatsoever for about a week now, playing a few hours at a time.
Problem is, I haven't tried turning the sound bak on as I've been in a Vexor doing L3 missions.
Any reports with the latest patches?

Serously, here's the new patch notes.
Mac
* Fixed an issue where the caps lock key would become stuck and print in caps lock regardless of caps lock being active or not.
* Resolved a client hang when pressing CTRL+fn+F9.
* The client will now instantly recognize language input change instead of taking a few seconds like before. The issue relating to language input indicator persists.
* Alt-key combinations should now work properly again.
* Fixed a memory leak regarding sprite de-allocation.
* Fixed issues with multichannel audio devices, such as Bose Sound Companion 5 USB.
Hopefully this helps. I have an 8 gate jump coming up, so I'm turning the sound back on to test it.
