BP has been 'waiting for closed beta to begin' for about four years now.
In the mean time, they have numerous fanboy sites for a game that doesn't exist. They have all kinds of interesting fanboy merchandise you can buy (last I checked it was shirts, caps, keychains, calendars, posters, etc).
In reality, I don't think BP is actually a game. It is just a few guys with some amazing CGI skills that are making some really nice looking videos - and filling their pockets with money selling shirts.
I originally signed on to the closed beta in mid-2007. At that time the game already had a few fanboy sites up, and tons of talk. Once in awhile I get another email telling me more about some new BP product for sale, and nothing about any intended release date.
Have to give them credit though, they seem to be making lots of fast cash on something that doesn't exist in the first place. Good call on that one.

Simple explanation. Captive audience. Eve players have invested time and effort into their characters. The more a person invests to his characters the less CCP has to actually provide him with a reasonable gaming experience.
Its money. CCP has been devoting resources to gaining new players (see: Planetary Interactions, Dust, etc.) rather than providing a quality product because that's where they'll get more money.
Period. There's your explanation.

Well, at least I had an opportunity to finally take a shower.
Oh, and I discovered my mom is still alive! Yeah, it seems she's been living upstairs the whole time. When I have stuff delivered (food, beverage, etc..) I always had them bring it to the basement door so I wouldn't have to walk far. This time though, after sitting in front of the login screen for several hours, I finally decided to explore. That's when I found her upstairs! It was like destiny or something. She was very suprised to see me too. It was cool. All this time she thought I had moved out of the house and wasn't visiting. NOw that she knows I'm downstairs in the basement, we've promised to visit each other.
Anyway, Thanks CCP for helping me and my mom reunite after all of this time!

What about a re-imbuse of lost skilltime bacause of such a huge server Downtime?
Please use your little personal Petition Goblins to auto answer "Sorry but we are unforunatly not able to re-imbuse your losses, since its not your fault and actually we like to make our customers angry so they leave us cause its sooo funny"!
