This thread attracted my eye...
Mostly because of the flaming of the "aaron haters". So, highsec and occationally wh dweller here...
Some questions...
Will there be enough mission runners to fleet up to run 4/5? Are there agents available not only from pirate faction? Are there high end ore available? Will there be a bridge for hauling "goodies" to next hub?
Anyway, the whole idea attracted me, and as it is a sandbox, you can try whatever you want. To be able to "win" might be a different thing. So i¦m keeping this endeavour in my eye....
Good luck!

As far as mission running I'm not sure if Aaron's group has people set up for it but there are tons of Sansha agents in Stain. I recently worked up standing on an alt so I could use a local lvl4 agent. It only takes about a week to get enough standing if you have criminal connections 4 trained. From there it's gravy to get Sansha faction ship BPCs like the nightmare.
Pro tip, use an alt to hold the LP and standings. Since the local rats are Sansha if you go ratting with the same character you use for missioning you are constantly ruining your own agent standings. Use an alt and just warp him to the mission in a pod. Pods are very tough to scan out and most people won't even bother. Once you have this system set up its easy to just advert your fleet to corp or allies and keep missions running all the time.
The only agents in Stain are True power and True creations which are Sansha pirate faction. There are only 2 level 5 agents in Stain, FYI. You'll probably be looking at lvl4s.
There are no cyno bridges from NPC nullsec so unless someone with a titan gets involved bridges aren't likely.
There are high end ores in some areas of Stain but most are lowsec class ores. I'm no sure what Aaron's destination is but most of the high end ore areas are highly populated so probably not his target. You can however quite often live off the rather common hauler spawns out here in many cases.

Excellent. I lost a Kronos with T2 Rigs and all Pith-X and Navy mods...
dude, lol, ill give u a battle cruiser just so u can fleet up with me and take it into battle. when the battle is over you will have percieved the resonance. you will do everything u can to procure another pvp ship and use it again. youll be hooked. Youll enjoy the rats and you will jump for joy when u kill an officer spawn and find that the contents are worth damn near 4 billion isk. Your eyes will widen when you kill a hauler spawn and get 100k zydrine, or 100m trit.
Youll see the point of having a large team of blue guys workin a constallation, youll fight hard for your home.
I challenge you to come have a look, what u got to lose.
EDIT: and why on earth would u fly such an expensive ship here? get yourself a couple of battlecruisers shipped here then collect some loot and ill build u more ships. minimise your risk and be effective at the same time.
Um, that was a joke. Because you said you would replace ships lost while ratting.
But you ignored the rest of my post. Coming out there and being set light blue and given resricted access

I am an all-sec type.
Seriously, and again, I been to the targeted region, and I know that once those macros start docking up because of your endeavor, they are going to put the vodka down and come after you. So plan on decentralization as a means of beating them. To have to waste a few accounts just to start pursuing neutrals or camping them in station costs them many millions of ISK an hour.
I also recommend that while you are trying to build an infrastructure of support there, the people who answer your call to come out still need to have a mindset of someone who goes it alone. There are people working alone out there and they survive well enough, but if players try to treat it like high sec, they might make some progress but will experience expensive setbacks that in the light of the progress "they could be making in high sec", will discourage them.
The engagement policies, though different, could work, but the people who come out need a sense of independence too, lest just a few nefarious nabobs of negativism manage to screw things up for everybody.

Originally by: Dracvlad OK this is difficult, but from what I have understood from talking to many people that the majority will not accept NRDS or even NTDS. I have talked this over with Aaron and we have come to the difficult decision that we will also apply NBSI in this new venture.
So how is this any different from regular 0.0 ???
Its different because it will be reasonably easy for cool people to get blue standings with us.
Quote: So that means that people coming down to join us will have to get blue status first, we will also have a tier system in which early arrivals will be set light blue and certain systems will be blocked to them until they have acheived dark blue status.
WHAT? That's just crap plain and simple...
Remember we are still planning nothing is final yet, Also what drac said does sound logical, trust has to be earned no matter which side of the fence you're on.

What so hard to understand.
a)It's 0.0 pvp will happen.
b)He is offering you to be a part in a community consisting of ex carebears from high sec with some backup from 0.0 people.
c)Market in place. He will profit from you buying his **** and you will profit from higher rewards and higher risk in 0.0
d)You get to blow up ships and get your own ship blown up in pieces too.
e)There will be some ship spinning in stations.
f)Some immature kids will try to hassle you "welcome to EvE" All men are prepared to accomplish the incredible if their ideals are threatened. |

ok, ive been thinking of a website for the garden with a forum. we will get the folks who want blue standings to register, they will then be added to a list where all CEO's can copy and paste corp/alliance names.
I do not want any players in NPC corps to join players must be in a player corp. its not difficult to join or create a corp. If you have an npc alt let a senior know who he is and take care as it will be hard to set standings to you.
Please bear with us as we are going to have to screen people who want to come here, this could involve voice/text convos, and API keys.
Efforts will be made to keep the area secure, we will watch suspects covertly and will take extreme action if an enemy is uncovered.
Please contact me if you have experience in building a website/forum, or if Jadawin is still about id be happy to work with you again.
Ok, we are slowly getting there.

The idea sounds cool, but what about logistics? will we have someone who can courier our stuff to empire? will we have someone who can jump our ships and fittings down?
stain is a logistical nightmare, im sure you already know that. with out some type of service to move everything, not many people will be inclined to join. i sure wouldn't.

I have very good logistics for Stain, Lv4 carrier pilots would be comfortable.
I'm starting the long process of getting folks stuff down to uf-kkh and have put all the details in "e-a public" the delivery time is currently 2 days. The garden is 1 carrier jump from uf-kkh.
Im advising folks to bring 1 pvp BC and a ratting BC. I can build all t1 ships, over the next few weeks u can buy a ship loadout from empire and get it shipped to the garden. you will be suprised at the small amount of refined loot it takes to build a battleship.
Lets take our time with this and get to know each other.

hey demo, hey rooster, hey everyone
I've got good hopes for this venture as it will be whatever we make it. Id like to get hundreds of people involved as this will cause any hostiles/enemies around to spend hundreds of man hours trying to stop us. If enemies spend lots of man hours trying to stop us they will lose out on making isk.
So as Cat has said, its all about community. Weve got to be adult and realistic and help eachother out to move the community forward.
A few facts;
- I have lived in stain for over 5 years - I/my corp have sucessfully carried over 40 billion isk worth of ships and modules to and from Stain, lots of the time for complete strangers. - I am commited to building an economy - I will never quit

Few hours? It's a bit random. Had a faction spawn yesterday. Dropped a true sansha large EMP smart bomb. This was within 5 minutes. So that's about 100 mil in 5 minutes. Also officers can spawn in stain in every system. These can net you a few billions. Ow and also later destroyed a convoy spawn worth more than 100 mil. So that's 200 mil in 2 hours not including the bounties. ( Think i made about 200 mil. (bounties + smart bomb) )
On average the income is slightly better than highsec LVL 4 missions i think.
Also renting not needed in NPC 0.0. Space is owned by the local rats and nobody else.
Greetz,
Brutal.

Well... dont think im bought.
If its not way above 90m isk/hour, then i dont think its worth it even if its .1 risk.
So yeah. Dont think i will take the ma(sochistic)nly road yet. Guess ill stay in high sec. do missions, while having daytrading to the gold mine (jita market) and the contractings.

The point of 0.0 isn't to be easy. Similarly, the point of this game isn't to be easy. If all people cared about was making maximum isk/hr, people would never leave Jita.
That said, it is possible to make 90mil/hr in 0.0. Okay, not regularly, since ratting will make about 30mil/hr at most. But it's possible to solo a deadspace complex which doles out around 200mil+ for an hour's work. If you can't solo it, splitting with a friend will still get you about 100mil.
I highly encourage you to check it out. Even if you haven't had very much PVP experience or have never set foot out of highsec, it can open all kinds of possibilities which you otherwise wouldn't have tried.

You touch on an interesting point there rooster, you're absolutely correct this game isnt just about isk per hour, what about adventure?
