Theres a few things I dislike, about the changes... The 1 jump bridge per system, and ships with jump drives not being able to jump through jump bridges...
That effectively means you can't move in capitals to a cyno jammed system in your own space. (ofc you can just turn off the cyno jammer... but still)
But it's changes I personly can live with :)

For the last few good months, all I read seems to indicate that Eve's economy has to many ISK faucets ant too few sinks. Sooooo... let's upgrade all the agents to quality 20 and make sure that your agent of choice never offers you a mission you don't want (courier or any other 'boring' thing)... that should take care of the problem... YEAH.
Also, I feel the changes to the agents are dumbing down the game. It simply removes the challenge of doing a bit of research in order to find the best agent for your purpose. I agree that the game needs to get a bit more newbie-friendly, but I don't think this is the way, by over-simplifying stuff.

EPIC. Sanctum runners beware
My thoughts exactly! I first tought you meant the DIRECTIONAL scanner, however my mistake its the onboard 'probing scanner'

Seeing as I stopped running missions awhile back, I'm happy to get my sp refunded from those social skills I raised for no other reason but mission running.

Edited by: Kerella Ellestra Fawnswarthe on 16/05/2011 23:08:54 The new Security, Distribution and Mining divisions now provide uniform types of missions instead of a mission type that was percentage based.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . W H A T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is fair to players with higher skill points how? So Nubs no longer have to earn their payouts?
I could be wrong but that sounds exactly like what I understand a nerf to be...
OK so now it's not important to train your skillbooks right? I mean why bother if now all I need to do is run missions to get paid like the big boys do too...
Now I too can become an AFK Multi-Billionaire!!!

"The capabilities of the onboard scanner have been substantially increased. The range is now 64 AU and the delay to return results is only 10 seconds."
I'm liking this, I don't have to use a scanning ship now. Hmm... don't have an excuse to be lazy any more
"Ships with jumpdrives are now unable to use jump bridges with the exception of ships belonging to the Black Ops ship category."
Basically this means only subcaps can use them and jump freighters can't use it to distribute resources, so why would anyone use them anymore. I predict if there is a cost effective way to take down the jump bridges and not have to pay it's fees anymore it will happen en mass. I guess there will be high demand for cyno alts then. So basically, jump bridges will be rarely if ever used anymore.
" When holding down æaltÆ, your probes will scale around the center, making it easier to adjust them. A green line has added to make it more intuitive."
First, "has" should be "was"
And what exactly does "scale around the center" mean or what does it look like?
Time to load up sisi methinks
"Unique icons have been created for Blueprint originals and Blueprint copies so you can visibly differentiate between them."
Oh very nice. Now we should be able to distinguish between a bpo and a bpc in our killmails.
Everything else seems good from my perspective.
I don't know where, I don't know when... but something awful is going to happen xD |

Blueprint icon changes and onboard scanner changes: awesome.
One question though, CCP...with the changes to JB functionality and the in-the-pipeline change to JBs-per-system, are there any plans to let us remove upgrades from ihubs? Right now your only choice to get rid of an unwanted upgrade is to unanchor the ihub, which destroys all of the upgrades contained within. The restriction of capital access to JBs is dramatically changing the way a lot of people look at their spread of jump bridge and cynosural system jammer upgrades, and having to scrag several billion isk (and millions of m3 worth of items) in upgrades just to get rid of one due to design-change-imposed depreciation is somewhat vexing, both fiscally and logistically, especially for us poor bastards out on the far corners of the nullsec map.
tl;dr since you're changing all this JB-related stuff, let us surgically remove upgrades from ihubs, plzkthx?

Am I the only one who's insanely excited about this!? No more cumulative hours of dragging each individual probe in closer every time you drop down a radius, and a green line to boot (lol).
UI usability and hotkey tweaks like this always tend to get overlooked, but for those of us who make our living doing these same tasks hundreds of times a day (wormholing ftw) they really help to streamline the whole process.
This entire update seems to reflect the philosophy that a good game should be complex in concept in that it gives its players a wide range of paths through which they can plan the route to their goals, but practically simple so that they can carry out those plans as swiftly and efficiently as possible, and I applaud that. Thanks CCP |

I was on test last night and they were each rank 2 with a 10% per level bonus.

It is amazing. People complain about some "mitical" dumb down of EVE, but in the same breath they complain about changes intended to make that EVE is not only a combat/PvP game.
There are people playing EVE for more than just combat/PvP. And when EVE become all about Combat/PvP, it will sure be the nber childplay.

I take everything I read on the forums with a half a pound of rock salt, after being in some fleets over the years.

The one thing I don't like:
Information on a pilot's standings towards NPC corporations is no longer visible from 'Show Info'. You now see the standings information between you and the other pilot and the factions you each belong to.
CCP needs to explain this more, -9000 until they do.

I guess the mission-runner stalkers will have to do their homework a bit more. Oh wait...

Can you change this please? Whenever a ship stops moving, it automatically straightens itself horizontally, which I find very unrealistic.
Solution: Remove the Automatic Horizontal Alignment. ________________________________________________

That's what they need to "compensate" for the expanded probe launcher fukkup - they'll raise in price due to SoE nerf - so less people will have good probing capabilities early on.
I enjoyed doing kill missions for SoE here and there. The patch will nerf it. So yet another "expansion" is cripping the game, nullifying the past effort to fly missions to get access to the Gicodel agent.
C'mon CCP -- remove PvP, PvE and mining alltogether!
Just courier missions and station walking! And raise time code price by factor three while you are at it!
Less content for the money! YAY, EXCELLENT!

I'm overall happy with the mission changes, a bit oversimplified in my opinion, but overall for the better. The only thing I dont like is the fact that Public relation agents are going to distribution rather than security, since most people run them for combat missions rather than courier missions. This also completely kills lv4 SoE highsec mission running, and turns Osmon into a hub, and kills all existing lv4 SoE Highsec hubs, namely Gicodel.

They should completely get rid of Social skills. I guess someone has their reasons for them.
From years of game forums I'd say that social skills can be sorely lacking. Or did you mean skill books? :P
Good patch CCP, but I'm still not sold on the rest of the jump bridge changes. __________________________________________________

BPO/BPC icon... about effing time! Everything else is ****...caps can't use JB.. dumb. You guys so need to shoot the founders and get in a management team that can actually run the company and that LISTENS TO THE CUSTOMER BASE!!
You guys are destroying the game...no more annual renewals for my accounts...I'll take that $400 and buy a new gun to shoot at the range - at least that will relieve some stress! Eve used to be stress relief via PvE before you nerfed the anoms in 0.0...now Eve IS stress waiting for the next stupid move CCP makes. Sofa king stupid.
