left4deadd	Posted - 2011.06.25 22:08:00 - [8916] Well, I usually stray from responding to these topics. However, the allure that brought me in to this game was strategy and character planning. It was never enough to just jump in and start mining, making, or destroying; the game required character planning to get the most out of it. The time invested and friendships gained while learning the impacts of choices is a better part of what drives the EVE community. Micro transaction will serve to severe all that is good and just about these facts and forfeit all the integrity CCP has in creating a game that was sustainable, even with its known issues, to the delight of the player population. I can see Harvard style business economics at work here. But just know, this community will not be as forgiving and fortuitous with funding as the US Government was to the Harvard grads that destroyed the financial systems and trading environment in the United States. My best wish is that you stay this path and eventually will declare bankruptcy or be swallowed up by other gaming companies to be forever known as one of the better games that failed because of dumb ass economics of greed as a corporation. Yes, there really is a definitive boundary of when enough profit is enough. But Harvard does not teach such things, only that there is never enough profit. But that theoretical model fails to ever mention the failure because of paradigm realities that cannot realize the market potential of satisying customer desires for the sake of sustaining a reasonable profit. You have laid you course, enjoy the ride! in the toilet!

I'd like to play a game I can actually "Play" at some type of quality graphic level when I'm playing. For the last 3 years I've been in 0.0, As a Pvper you leave your settings to minimum, because that's what you get used too. Otherwise you suddenly overstress your system in fleet battle and miss out on all the fun, or die. Now they want to introduce that kind of performance everytime we dock? Sorry, I'm simply dissatisfied with where CCP has putting their focus. It seems clear now, after the leaks that the focus is on vanity items, and fixing many of the gameplay bugs that we've endured for years is a distant second.

It is exactly this..... 250,000 accounts at 15/month average would make ccp about 87 bucks a minute if my math is correct.... so 86 * 40 = 3480. so for the first 40 minutes they made more in monocles than they did in subscription fees prorated to the same amount of time. I'm guessing he looked no further than this. What about teh 2nd 40 minutes, or the 3rd, or teh 30th.... yea exactly. but they don't care.
