I love this game, I really do. Its what I look forward to while I'm at work. Its my escape from tedium. All CCP needed to do was keep me interested by keeping the sandbox free from cat-turds and throwing some interesting toys in every now and again. I'd have been a loyal customer for life.
Not only have they allowed great steaming piles of cat **** it to accumulate in the sandbox, they actually whipped down their skivvies, and plopped a few Extra Chunky ones in the sand aswell. And they want to charge extra admission.
I can live with that, I have a good sense of smell, you only have to play with the sticky brown sand for a few seconds to realise what it is, and you can wash your hands and find some cleaner sand right? But if I'm forced to play with crap in CCP's sandbox, because either theres no sand left, or they make it mandatory, I'm just gonna go find another sandbox to play. Why would I want to sit in their cesspool?
But most disappointing is that the attitude towards me as a paying customer absolutely sucks. All I hear is spin and bull. Man-up to what you've done CCP, and rake the turds out of your sandbox, spend some of your precious resources making your product, EvE, more closely aligned to what your customers want. As a company you are terrible at making WoW clones. Terrible. You will fail abysmally because your copying some other model that's already years and years ahead of you. The market is sewn up. Done. As a me-too company your future is horribly bleak.
But that's OK. Cause what CCP has was great, and can be again. It was unique. It was ground-breaking. It was original and cool. It was edgy. It was all the things that made me want to be part of it. It was something I loved - maybe still love, if they can just get their nose out of the trough for long enough to see that they are ruining what drives us here in our thousands.
I pay more to CCP each month than I pay to my Television, Internet and Telephone companies combined. I'm happy to do it. Eve is a huge part of my life, and I'll pay to use it. I've told CCP, the community has told CCP, the CSM has told CCP what is needed for me/us to keep forking over the beans every month. And they, in their arrogant, disrespectful, spiteful way have ignored us and are treating us like we're just another mark. I feel cheated. Conned. I've been lied to.
The newsletter, internal I know we weren't meant to see it, tells me exactly what CCP thinks of me. It tells me that they don't want EvE to be what I want EvE to be. Well its their IP. Its their prerogative to take it where they want. But its our prerogative to pull our subscriptions and go elsewhere.
That's depressing. I thought I was part of something special here, but apparently I was high on cat turds or something.
This whole fiasco has turned into a car wreck I'm only here now to watch the carnage. CCP will have to do something pretty far king spectacular to get me to trust them again. Years in the future will I be on some other gaming forum reminiscing about 'being there at the end.. when CCP finally jumped the shark'? Or will they turn it around? I know what my money is on.
I am impressed by the length of your poop metaphor.

Never thought I'd do it but have just canceled the subscriptions on my two long term alts as I believe only this type of action will have an affect on CCP. Should this situation be sorted out to the satisfaction of the playerbase I will consider starting them up again, if not I'll be closing this account down as well.
Before you ask no you can't have my stuff its already spoken for.

Eve Customers will flex a little, they have, they accepted vanity items in the NEX store, they accepted the PLEX, but game changing MT items, they won't budge on most likely. CCP has a plan, they are executing on it, doesn't matter how far customers flex a little. CCP doesn't care, it is their time table and their demise.
No sense in fighting what is already comming, let em screw it up, it's just a game for us, it is a job for them, which is now at greater risk, we have no risk to take. Let em screw themselves.
I have no problem with this at all, really, I have 110 days remaining, I just hope CCP don't go bankrupt between now and 110 days time, after that, I don't care if they get layoffs. Not my problem really.
I plan to have fun all the way out, if that fun means laughing at CCP and their employees, Fine by me, Just another form of fun.
No sense in being miserable over it, it's not worth it, and neither are CCP.
When the rats trolls leave the game, that is a time to worry, really, it is.

As a long term paying customer, I have seen virtually no progress towards addressing key broken mechanics and unfinshed expansions over the past 2 years! Instead we continue to pay for low value, peripheral expansions that do nothing significant to enhance the game, and only adds more clutter and unfinished content.
All of these concerns were raised by the playerbase in the 18 months thread fiasco if not before then in many cases. Recently you've announced you are just starting to look at 0.0 and other gameplay aspects. So if we look at this as an example, and with your delivery record, I would be surprised to see any meaningful expansion to Eve within the next 1.5 years that goes anywhere near addressing player expectations.
In total, this represents an almost 4 year gap between you listening to and responding to your customers comments and feedback. 4 YEARS!
FOUR YEARS!
It's clear that your focus is on bringing in new players, but without fixing the core mechanics which keeps players here long term, you're just treading water. The vision and creativity which we saw and belived in years ago has long since faded and died. Today even the smallest of fixes is met with cheer given how low everyones expecations have settled (this alone should make you very concerned).
As an example, you could fix the Technetium issue over a single weekend if you actually got off your ass instead of ****ing about discussing how to finance other titles and spending years working on this Incarna disgrace. Get your ****ing priorities straight.
re the 18-months thread fiasco: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1534027&page=1#1
Quote: Exactly a year ago CCP announced that development of EVE was on hold for 18 months and that all ressources were thrown at Incarna/Dust development. http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1354510 After much discussion following CCP Zulus Dev Blog, the Executive Producer stepped in and explained that it was all a misunderstanding - there would of course be new developments of EVE in parallel with Incarna/Dust development. The community was happy bunnies and went back to flying spaceships.
The new features delivered in the last year was:
Incursion, winter 2010 - Incursions - Noctis ship - Learning skills removal - New player portraits (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1530737)
- and some good stuff (almost fixed rockets) from team BFF based on CSM input (Trebor and the "1000 papercuts" if I recall correctly).
There should be 6 months left of the 18 months, before focus is once again on the core game (the spaceship part). Six months to develop the actual station with the planned features (mini-games, shops etc.). I think it will take much, much longer before we see any serious gameplay content being added to EVE.
TL;DR when do you think Incarna will be in a "finished" enough state, so CCP can focus on the core game (the spaceship part)

1. Please bring back the NPC faction standing visibility in the character info. 2. Please undo the abolition of the tengu unprobe-ability (make it harder to be unprobe-able but don't remove that completely).
Reasons & discussions have been given and made in various threads, not going to repeat them here. I don't care about the rest, you can ask 100000000000 Aurum for a monocle tbh, no one is forced to buy it. Just stop wrecking certain game-styles and aspects of the game for no substantial reason. Thanks. __________________________ http://eveboard.com/pilot/iudex |

OK it's not in game yet, but has been talked about a lot.
When we get the full walking in station (not just CQ), with bars, corporation offices and such. How much are they going to cost to rent/buy/run?
With the current vanity item pricing, I can only assume they will be similar price to their real life equivalents.

CCP hooks up with Nvidia w/ Carbon tech -> Eve's once great performance becomes rubbish, requiring players to get new Video Cards CCP hooks up with Sony on Dust -> Microtransactions become a factor in the Eve Universe

Waiting. It's only two accounts but it depends on how CCP respond. But no, I'm not one of those people logged in. But if they make me wait much longer I'm just pushing the damn buttons and be done with it.
