Impossible. RA and .5. meet in the semi-finals or they don't meet at all.
I'd love to see smi's between Rock and BoB on one side and .5. and KAOS on the other. KAOS so far have done pretty damn good, I;d give them a decent chance against RA

On a side not, I listened to the eve radio coverage yesterday and found it rather hilarious when the reporter was popped, but a silly question here. Why don't the spectators just equip passive targeting modules?

A tip to competitors: set the personal standing of your opponents for a round to -10 and then set your overview to display such standings. That way your opponents and any drones they use will appear in red, more significantly theyÆll be easy to pick out on the overview.

I never canceled my account, just started working too much hehe. However my skills have been training nonstop since launch. I can't say so much for my "rl" skills, I think I forgot how to fight lol. Instead I'll just watch everyone else, and maybe someday I will get back into the groove. For now I just help my roomate with agent missions.

Ok Everybody, the final night of the tournament starts right now, and I'll be here until it's over writing everything down for your (hopeful) pleasure.
First up tonight in the quarter-finals are The ROCK and NBSI Alliance.
To get into the Final Eight, The ROCK got a bye through round one with the ISS failed to field a team, narrowly won a victory in the second round over The Sudden Death Squad with only their Imperial Arma left standing, and then brought out the Imperial Apoc in round three for a slightly more one-sided fight against the United Confederation of Corporations.
NBSI Alliance also got a bye through the first round when opponents Xelas Alliance failed to show up. They then used their rattlesnake in round two to win an easy victory over Opus Alliance, and used the ship again in a long, brilliant fight against the Ascendant Frontier.
Now they meet in the quarter-finals. Will The ROCK use their unique ships, will NBSI bring out the rattlesnake once more? Find out in just over 30 minutes...

I must say I¦m very impressed with KAOS and their Navy Mega, breaking a CNR in 60 sec and also got a good tank, that¦s awsome.

For these fights we have moved next door to Polaris system, home of ISD, and from LeMonde:
"Polaris is the only system in Eve which has it's very own node, so lag should
be at a minimum."

and the fight:
NBSI react first and deploy their drones. The cerberus immediately goes fter the manticore, whic is tanked by NBSI drones. The Rattlesnake has gone after ROCK's AF
1 minute in, and under focused fire from the cerberus and Imp. Apoc, the manticore of NBSI pops. The Imp. Apoc is in the centre of the field while the NBSI fleet has not moved. ROCK's cerberus has gone after the vagabond, as has the Imp. Apoc.
2 minutes in, the Rattlesnake pops the cerberus after it switches to him unable to kill the AF, and the vagabond of NBSI pops. The Imp. Apoc has MWD'd right up to the rattlesnake and has engaged. To recap, the ROCK have two ships to NBSI's rattlesnake, which is holding its tank against the opposition.. for the moment
Update: 4 minutes in, the frigate of ROCK has now entered the fight again attacking the drones of the rattlesnake. Despite the close-range fight, the rattlesnake appears to be tanking the Imp. Apoc. The Apoc has started nossing the rattlesnake. This could be a slow match between the heavy hitters.
6 minutes, and th rattlsnake has switched to the orbiting vengeance for about 15 seconds, but then changs his mind and goes back to the Apoc... but he gave Tyrax enough time to recoup his armor losses.

The second of our Quarter finals tonight is between Band of Brothers and Tribal Souls, both if whom have proven very able in combat.
To get here tonight, Band of Brothers' Caldari Navy Raven/Eagle duo made light work of first the Phoenix Alliance, then Nova Republic, and then won an easy victory over the giant-killers Aegis Militia, who had been favoured by some as a possible underdog victor after beating MC in round one. Todate, BoB have only lost one ship - a Taranis in round three.
Tribal Souls have also shown promise, beating the New Outer Ring Allied Democracy in round one, then recieving a bye through round two and finally convincingly beat Vertigo Coalition in round three. Tribal Souls have also only lost one ship so far - an assault frigate in round one.

BoB are going with the same ships as always:
BoB: Caldari Navy Raven (BlackLight), an Eagle (Alasse Cuthalion), and a Taranis (TWD)
TRIBE: another Caldari Navy Raven (Riotoverkill), a Cerberus (Nightreign), and a hawk (cptblood)
In the battle of the CNR's who will win? two have never come up against each other so far, it should be interesting
