My $0.02
- Could we please have expanded skills (Like what exist for Trading) for contracts that allow people to exponentially increase the number of contract slots that are available per character, particularly for Public Contracts.
- Could we allow for contracts to be accepted from other regions? Even if it is a skill in order to do this, it would be nice if I'm in Amarr, to be able to accept a contract that is attractive to me in Jita.
- Having the Public/Alliance/Corp option should provide an expanded list of results, rather than a limited list. If I'm viewing public, please don't filter our alliance and corp contracts.
- It would be nice to be able to select a particular number of a stack of items in the contract interface, rather than having to split the stack prior to making a contract.
- It would be nice if I had a screen that I could copy just that contracts items & numbers to paste into Evepraisal to get a collateral amount BEFORE the amounts screen appears. Selecting from the contract item select screen isn't optimal, especially if I'm only contracting partial assets from a particular hanger/container.

Add me as another that would like the ability to set up multiple exact copies of a contract - this is particularly useful for setting up contracts for fitted doctrine ships.
I also like the idea of having the contents of a contract arranged by slot layout for indicating the equipment in a fitted ship, per ship. |

The biggest problem with contracts is that no history on average selling prices for 'contract only' items is saved or reported...I want market type selling velocity and average sale price info for unique items. |

No. Never.
increases risk of market manipulation - that's for starters. Locks out people from hunting for bargains and actually making an effort in doing so. Everyone will end up in sitting in Jita, even moreso than today.

I would like more functionality in courier and or WTB contracts. I am not quite sure what would work best, really, so I am going to describe a problem I am having in hopes others can make suggestions on improvements in the system that would resolve my little peeve.
The thing is this. I buy a lot of unresearched BPOs from NPC sell orders. I use them to make copies for invention and followup T2 production. On an almost daily basis, I identify some item I want to make, only to find I don't have the needed BPO and the only NPC sellers are 20+ jumps from my base. Yes, its not terribly hard just to go get them. But its basically a very low value use of my time, and I'd rather give some newbie a chance to earn a few million isk doing it for me. What annoys me, is that I can't get anybody to go fetch a BPO for me, because the contract system doesn't really support what I want done.
"Just set up a courier." Nope, can't set a courier contract for an item you don't own. I want someone to buy the BPOs and THEN deliver them to my base. "Just fly there in a shuttle, buy them, and set up a courier." BPOs only take up a tiny fraction of a shuttle's cargo capacity. If I was in the same station as the BPO already, I'd just fly them home myself, involving another person would be silly.
I have tried to work through the in game "haulers channel" chatroom, explaining what I want, no takers. Partly that's because most of these guys are flying freighters, and quick shuttle runs aren't really worth their time. But a lot of it is simply people are afraid I am running some sort of scam. I set a buy order for the BPO at my base, but people are afraid I will cancel before the contract is filled or I'm trying to bait them into a gank or something.
It would be helpful if I could set a buy order that a player could grab without filling, so he can be sure it won't be cancelled or filled by someone else while he is working on it, like you can grab a courier contract so its committed to you while you work on it. Preferably the potential contract filler should be able to do this from any region, not just the same region as the destination you want the order filled at.

What if you set up a WTB thread with location in the WTB forums, then link the contracts in your bio. Everyone reading the WTB forum thread will then be able to deliver your WTB's and will not have to search your contract, since its linked in your bio. When clicking it, they also will see if its still open. This way you have less time to get stuff going, and you use the contract system.
Edit: Or you could just setup buyorders... and still setup a WTB forum thread with a reference to your system. |

A few small improvements:
- Show estimated value of contract (item exchange or courier), similar to the hangar view.
- Allow PE/ME search functionality for BPOs and BPCs.
- WTB Contracts with BPOs or BPCs.
Bigger ideas:
- Bring back loan contracts with collateral.
- Add a type of contract that will automatically refresh when one unit is sold until a specified limit is reached or the hangar is empty. This might help reduce load/search time by reducing number of contracts oustanding.
- Auction courier contracts where the lowest bid wins the contract.

a more specific search function for item contracts would be nice too. Stop allowing people to change the letters from million to billion on their contract links. nothing but scam contracts these days (item contracts) I believe what you think is contract related is more likely a more widespread user interface issue. May 2014, I posted a thread Revert The Jumps Column (broken jumps column, travel settings, or maybe some other basic-level UI function) in the features and ideas discussion, though they seem to have missed it.

We would love to hear any feedback from you guys on this. We're most interested in suggestions for UI/usability improvements and comments on pain points you encounter in using the system. The more constructive the feedback is the better; 'Get rid of the scammers' is for example not particularly helpful.
Thanks in advance for your help.
1st- It's completely insane that I cannot contract items to my own characters on my account -and the same account too- because of the following:
A) Item/m3 limit: Some -what seems- mundane bureaucratic type 'limit rule' on items / m3. I don't care how much I can contract, I need to get it there, so why are you making it harder for me? Instead now I need to scroll through a checklist and deselect just enough to make the contract work. The current way to do it is not easy, it's a pain, and it makes something extremely simple, difficult and frustrating.
B) 'illegal items' blocking an entire list of items - WHY. Why is this a thing? And don't even bother answering in that RP npc nonsense (I like player RP, but some imaginary ghost embargo clerk telling me I can't contract an entire contract because of 1 item in the pile, that's just crap).
I need to move x items to y character and this completely prohibits finishing the contract unless I close out the screen, navigate through several hundred items icons (in assets) or do a search for the item and try to remotely delete it which, for the record, is also strange since it was an item dropped from a mission. If you don't want us to be able to contract these items because they are illegal, why bother having them in the game at all? Also, if we can't contract because of some embargo clerk, where is this guy when people are doing trades with one another in station? I can fly Motherships (supercarrier is STILL a lame name) but contract an item to a low level alt? Nooooo! The almighty embargo clerk and his/her pen is mightier (damn you Trabek!) than any skill I can posses in the game. But maybe if I could train bureaucracy or npc bribing level 5 it would be OK.
C) Eve is a pretty big place, and if I happen to be at the butt end of the Eve Universe, I can't sell those items so I need to contract them because I can't now just use a bunch of jump bridges to easily move around or get lucky that my JC is in JUST the right spot to be close enough for the assets to trade them in-person to a 2nd account. Don't make it hard for me to do this.
2nd I get that Eve is a sandbox with nails and diseases that we all play in, and scams etc yes yes these stink, but I do not like the above restrictions on contracting as it simply put, probably one of the most mind-numbingly terrible features in a game, that I've ever heard of, for an otherwise completely and stupidly easy-simple task of moving items to someone else.
Also, rants aside: Eve is an epic amazing game, so this is a small thing but it would be great to see this improved so as not to be a tedious chore of asset spreadsheet-NPC-management/oversight. |

I use contracts all the time, actually. I sell bulk orders of fitted ships, get couriers for my resources, etc. I haven't found anything to be a real problem yet aside from some people claiming they're confiscating my stuff for safety, which ends up with me getting the contract collateral anyway.
If people want no risk contracts, that seems like a job market people would pay a premium for in a game where everyone is trying to backstab each other. Money buys loyalty.

As the contract system is an NPC system, there should be logical rules. No contractor would be allowing illegal goods through their system in Concord space if they wanted to stay in business.
I don't understand the issue people seem to believe in inflation due to mission runners and ratting...
Without missions and rats, isk wouldn't exist in Eve. All trading, selling T2 stuff, and buying ore, all of it depends on isk generated elsewhere.

No. Just no. I'm sorry but this is insane. What other game -besides Bound items- prevents you from moving assets in this manner? The npc logic is one of the most flawed arguments humanly possible about moving assets. I refuse to be bound by stupid RP logic when I'm not RP'ing and shouldn't be required to invoke ANY RP logic just to move assets to another character on my account.
Also when you have 513 assets in one location, containers with items in them, and a giant mixture of stuff there, and no way to move an item out of a container remotely, the infuriating NPC RP logic is just about as incomprehensible as possible. |

So perhaps a compromise would be that when creating the contract and the system notices a potentially 'illegal' item within the mix it gives you a message: "The item(s) that you are trying to contract are potentially illegal and may be confiscated by CONCORD official at any time during the execution of this contract. Should this occur, the contracted person(s) shall be held accountable for only 50% of the agreed upon collateral amount." Clicking yes means you are willing to take this risk and no cancels the contract creation process.
For the person potentially accepting said contract it would give them a similar warning stating the rules and possible outcomes of accepting the contract. And then they can make an informed decision about whether to try to accept the job.
This, to me, seems a fair compromise. |

I believe the illegal items restriction is actually a restriction on contract scams. I'd like to see it removed with the caveat that all contracts with illegal goods be marked as such in an extremely visible way, and that npc's that scan for illegal goods can see inside of double/recursively wrapped containers.

Once a courier contract is made, or for that matter completed, there is no way for the issuer to see what is or was in the contract. This can be quite annoying if one does a lot of contracts especially when trying to keep track of corp or alliance assets and not have them mixed up with personal assets. Would love to have the ability to see inside my own courier contracts and possibly those of my corporation.. |

Hello - I was wondering if there is any progress in the Contracts System revamp?
Red Frog Freight has delivered proposal on some useful changes not long ago.
Ari Kes wrote:Hello CCP, Kind greetings from Red Frog Freight! Thanks a lot for looking into the contracts system and possible future contracting update! Here is the list of proposed changes gathered from our Staff and Pilots. We hope you will find it useful! We have divided the proposals in three categories: - Critical changes:
- ability to be able to see the content of the private Courier Contract prior to acceptance;
- ability to contract populated containers within Item-Exchange contracts;
- Allow more than 200 items stacks to be included in a contract.
- Important Quality-of-life changes:
- ability to set up rules for private Courier Contracts that are posted to the Corporation - ie. Contracts with specific collateral / size will get auto-rejected.
- ability to create task contracts for moving a freighter.
- there are now so many windows that user needs to go through to create a Contract, maybe it would be possible for the game client to gather all needed data via one window?
- public contract API
- Courier Contract delivery time bonus
- option for a Corp Contract Reward tax
- ability to set the autopilot destination to the package destination (via selecting and right-clicking it) regardless on which character the package is located;
- Implement an optional warning upon undock GÇ£Your Freighter is leaving with an empty cargo hold!GÇ¥
- Lower-priority changes:
- ability to create a GÇ£Contract TemplateGÇ¥ for frequent use, containing the information that will be auto-filled upon selection;
- redesign the GÇ£Contracts in ProgressGÇ¥ window, to contain more data, allowing the Contract in-question to be quickly identified by the pilots doing a lot of them. This is true especially in regards to multiple Contracts leading from and to the same places.
I will update this thread should we receive more feedback from the pilots :) Thanks again for doing this revamp :)

You have both your Journal and Main page of the Contracts showing that info. YOur journal would be blinking and there is a Tab "Contracts" will show the one which require your attention. On the main page of the Contracts fron NEoCom menu you will see similar warning message. And htere is new Notifiction Feed as well.
SO the system is tripled already. I could only think if you have an extra alarm by sending you an auto mail with same info. |

Allow courier contracts to be set up using different fields.
IE: Courier Variants
Ammunition Contract Ore Contract Mineral Contract Ship Contract Module Contract
as well as whatever else we have special hangars for.
Then when someone selects this option it allows them to set the contract for that specific type - doing a field check to ensure that all items fall into that category.
Why?
This will allow us to use special hangars for transports, thus allowing more versatility in how things are moved. Otherwise you cannot use specialized haulers for these contracts. |

I dont recall the exact wording of the notification but i believe it said something like "a contract is in need of your attention", if in fact this is about all it said it would be nice if it said something more informative like, "A contract you created was rejected, to return your items from the contract find the contract and cancel it". Ideally, the message would come with a contract cancellation button as well.

I wish.... .. new contract type "supply contract". Lets you specify all kinds of term like: 50/50 Collateral, min&max-CycleTime, ...
This supply contract, charges both parties 50% of the definded collateral. Then it automatically creates an exchange-contract of the specified conditions.
If nothing happens and the max-cycleTime is reached, then the supplycontract fails as well and collateral is going to the issuer. If the auto-trade completes and the MinCycleTime is not reached yet, then the supplycontract waits for the min-cycle to expire, before hosting another auto-trade-child. If the autotrade completes and the mincycle is already reached, a auto-trade with readjusted/lesser expiration time is hosted. If the trade fails (usually bc the issuer does not have enough money and stuff), the host-contract fails as well and the collateral goes to the supplier.
example: I sell (70vexor +7tristan) for (Material required to build 70 vexor+7tristan +50milisk) each 7days. Collateral is 800milion. A miner accepts. He now knows that if he gathers minerals, there is at least one customer. Also i can be "sure" to get enough minerals to restart my production chains. Also i wont sit on a bunch of vexors to dump on the market after that.
Purpose: ecomomic stability/cooperation and ease of use.
Add new modules or ships that can use tactics and strategies to shake any op meta or use totaly different gameplay yourself to make it happen! yay :)
....und Local braucht ganz dringend ein Update!

Pirate ship bpcs are interesting and I've bought a decent number of them, but seeing a dread bpc pack, and endless copies of just stuff, gets old.
also a contract with multiple ships is just confusing, no idea what is fitted to what,
getting rid of the ability to change the contract's name in chat would probably reduce scamming by a lot.
ah well, now that faction stuff is on the market I hardly ever use contracts.
