Supply contracts please:
The person putting up the contract specifies that they want X things (which can include fitted ships) in Y place at Z time. They can put materials with are immediately released to the supplier. They can require a collateral to be posted. A payment can be posted as well, given after the contract is completed.
Once the contract is accepted, it cannot be cancelled (until Z time is passed) It can be completed whenever X things are at Y place.
Useful for: Compression of ore contracts. People wanting X ships built and fit for them. Etc. Steve Ronuken for CSM 9! https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4236322

Would like to be able to contract a single item type, multiple stations, based on asset search for region and lump them all into a single contract that would have a 'multiple stations' alert for the contract buyer.
Example.
Buyer will receive: Salvage goody - Station 1 - quantity 15 Salvage goody - Station 2 - quantity 2 Salvage goody - Station 3 ( warning Low Sec station) - quantity 300
you will pay $$$.
The scenario comes about in either a trader has accumulated stuffs and no longer needs or wants to coral them or a ratter has been in several systems and is working out a deal with a 'corp buyback' program...the opportunity is the spread consideration between price and pick up time.
I only propose his with single item since some items are not worth contracting price but en masse might be worth a Indies time to pick up.
Many good suggested in thread above. Pull from Stack, clearer indication of items fitted to which ships, contract description clarity (I know you can use description line) to replace 'Multiple Items' so things easier to find when scrolling are top of user-friendliness features. |

So atm when you get a contract assigned to you, for some reason it never gives a pop up until you click on the contracts icon to view all your contracts. At that point it is just plain irritating to have a contract pop up. So more reliable pop ups plz :D Want some pvp help? Like to fly small and fast frigates? This would even be cool as a public contract, then it could be a multiple suppliers project.

Might be nice to search contracts based on ME/PE/Meta Level. IE I want to search for an Anshar BPC with ME -1
Would also be nice to see the in game price estimate for items either as a total on the contract or per item. Might be a bit 'op'.
One thing that I've always wanted to do in both contracts and market is search for the various shorted names we use for thing, like 'MWD' or 'LSE' but I can see that being an arse to do. |

How about fixing the search function so what when I have high sec only seleced in options it actually gives me high sec routes only. Currently i will also get routed through low and even null with high sec only selected. Also a lot of contracts are scams for them to gank you if it goes through low sec at all. would love to see a red highlight on people that have had multiple contracts failed recently. (for the courier system)
a more specific search function for item contracts would be nice too. Stop allowing people to change the letters from million to billion on their contract links. nothing but scam contracts these days (item contracts) |

As a hauler I'd like to see the following changes to (mostly courier) contract system: (some of the suggestions have already been made but I feel the need to mention them anyway since I find them highly important)
1.More sophisticated filtering system. Currently if filter is set to highsec only, you still see contracts that lead through low/null security space (which is because no high sec route is available) although pickup/dropoff locations are both in high sec.
2.Allow us to ignore specific contracts rather than ignoring all the contracts from a person/corporation.
3.Enable multiple selection (shift/ctrl+click) of entries in GÇPMy ContractsGÇ£ tab allowing to complete/delete multiple contracts at once, either through righ click menu or through additional button.
4. Allow issuing contracts to yourself. This mostly comes from the need to haul my own assembled ships in a freighter. The functionality is already there because other peopleGÇÿs assembled ships can be entered into courier contracts and be moved by a freighters.
5.Make items inside double layered packages visible to cargo scanners and introduce a special consumable item which would allow us to wrap our cargo making it immune or hard to scan. Introduce a new skill to make scanning such package possible/easier thus forcing gankers to invest training time into otherwise disposable ganking alts since training to fly a freighter and acumulating enough wealth for a higher collateral jobs is a noticable time/isk investment.
6.Add more options for contract acceptance/completion deadlines. I suggest 6h, 12h, 24h, etc. increments.
7.Add an option to enter per jump payment rather than total amount. Have both input fields side by side and have them update eachother as changes are made (similar to new directional scanner distance options)
8.Allow sorting courier contracts by payment per jump
9.Allow selection of multiple sorting propertiesat once, f.e. total payment and per jump, or newest first and volume, etc.
10.Introduce option to pay bonus for promptness. For example contract issuer makes a courier contract with 1 day expiration and 1 day completion deadlines and adds bonus if package is delivered within 6h of accepting.
11.Allow modification of outstanding contract properties without having to delete them and start all over again.
12.Allow mutual contract termination. If someone picks up a contract he canGÇÿt complete or issuer sets wrong collateral etc., there should be an option to cancel it if boths parties agree, rather than resorting to breaking the package (thus tainting contract history of both parties) and sending items and isk back and forth throuhg item exchange.
13.Use colorcodes whenever possible in contracts window, such as marking volume red if the ship youGÇÿre currently flying doesnGÇÿt have big enough cargohold, yellow if it does, but not enough empty space, and green when both criteria are fullfilled.
A couple less relevant suggestions:
14.allow seeing full courier package (or any other package/container) contents through assets window. Right now if courier package contains a container, assets window only shows a cointainer. IGÇÿd like to be able see to full contents.
15.Allow entering POSGÇÿes and POCOGÇÿs as courier pickup/destination. |

Hello,
few improvements for courier contracts,
- Courier contracts sorted by ISK per jump reward with already calculated and reduced result depending how far the hauler is from the start pick up courier location.
- Ability to see the content of the courier package before accepting it - all other contracts types already have this feature.
- Ability to set search and filter for courier contracts with minimum/maximum ISK per jump reward
- Give Time bonus reward option to courier issuer, if the courier contract is completed within set time by issuer
- Ability to return an accepted courier contract within 2 minutes back to the contract issuer, in case of misclick
- Increase the limit of ignored contract issuers to 10 000
- Improve the UI how ignored issuers are being deleted
- Fix the low/null filter for couriers, even with set filter to hisec only there still pop-up couriers outsife of hisec
- Create NPC freighter-size hauling missions, with appropriate LX rewards (1 million per jump minumum L4, etc)

Improvements I'd like to courier contracts:
1. A bonus reward for earlier delivery.
2. Correct indications of security sectors traversed in the execution of the contract.
3. An indication of whether the consignment includes items in a container.
---
1. In some cases, having goods moved soon is worth a lot to the contractor but having them only arrive later has little value to him. In such cases, he could offer a minimal reward for completion in the normal time but additionally a bonus if delivery is made within a shorter period, or by a specific time, similar to the system of bonus rewards in missions.
2. At the moment, the Available Contracts window takes into account only the collection and delivery systems as far as security levels are concerned, so for instance a package from Jita to Larryn will appear on the list when only High Sec is marked for the search, and the contract itself will have no indication that the journey cannot be completed without travelling through lowsec.
3. A true/false indicator on the contract itself of whether the consignment includes items in a container would inform a hauler, before Accepting the contract, whether or not it would be possible to make a sub-contract for someone else to carry the goods.
The Haulers Channel is a meeting place for independent haulers where contractors can arrange to have their goods moved and new haulers can learn the tricks of the trade. |

Main pain is item selection UI for item exchanges and couriers. This is basically quite painful to use. What I'd like to see is it use the main inventory UI in some way; then you have all the filtering and stack/split functionality available.
Basically have the inventory window support showing a remote location (hangar, corp hangar, deliveries), preferably independent of the contract system. Then either use its existing selection features for picking, or have a drag&drop target on the contract window (like the trade window basically).
The contract item picker is the only place you can remote split stacks though, so don't lose that (it got broken once in a patch and it was a nightmare).
Double bonus points if you can then remote stack...
A smaller change would be to filter the hangar list to hangars that actually have things in them; it's several clicks per courier contract just to reset it to "Deliveries" when I don't even have an office in the selected station.
Finer grained time settings on courier contracts would be good; e.g. 12 or 4 hour deliveries.
Built-in support for fast delivery bonus rewards would also be good; e.g. 24 hour time limit, but bonus if delivered in 4 hours.

While we're at it, it would be awesome to give in-game browser API the way to create buy contracts. Last time I checked, it could only create sell contracts with whatever stacks you have, is it difficult to give us a function which operates on item types and quantities?
That would make logistics a bit less pain to do, as you can just throw a web form where people select items they want you to buy, and it can give them a buy contract on that (with an automatic price calculation, biatch!). Later you just pick at your server for the total amounts (where the "open buy window" for item type function comes in handy), grab them, deliver them, and accept all the buy contracts - this is where we need the stack split - and we're done. |

CCP SoniClover wrote:Hello Capsuleers. We're looking into what small improvements we can make to the contract system to make it more useful and trustworthy. We would love to hear any feedback from you guys on this. We're most interested in suggestions for UI/usability improvements and comments on pain points you encounter in using the system. The more constructive the feedback is the better; 'Get rid of the scammers' is for example not particularly helpful.
Thanks in advance for your help.
1. Global public contracts
2. WTS contracts for illegal items (ie, boosters)
3. Ship loan contracts - this would be very helpful for roams. You could make a ship loan contract to someone, which would give them a ship, in exchange for collateral isk. If they return the ship by the time specified in the contract, the collateral is returned. Otherwise you have the option to fail the contract and get the collateral.
This would be really helpful, as you dont have to chase people down and/or demand they buy a ship from you outright. This is actually a large problem for open roams.
4. Batch contracts - I know you have the copy contract mechanism, but maybe I want to create 50 or 100 of the same contract.
5. Combine the "you will pay X" and "you will give Y items" into one section, instead of seperating them by the "you will get" section.
6. On single item contracts, link it to the market like you do for multi item contracts
7. I want to be able to make a courier that is delivered to another person. The majority of contracts that I make are from my jita alt, to a courier, and then recontracting to my main. |

I don't use contracts all that often, but I do have some feedback on the improvements I'd like to see:
- The fitted ship contract UI needs to be streamlined somehow. Either allow us to expand and collapse all modules under a ship in the interface, or allow us to pull up the complete layout in the fitting tool.
- Make it easier to look at the ME/PE/Max runs of BPC/BPO contracts. It's frustrating when you need to open each contract to see these values.
- Make it impossible to accept a contract unless you have the required materials on hand prior to accepting it.
- Include a simple feedback system that allows buyers/sellers to leave a positive or negative rating on completed contracts. People listing reliable contracts would have an easier time building a reputation and it would make it slightly harder for scammers to spam on the same accounts, but not prevent it. |

Currently when entering a name for a private contract I must re-confirm my alt (via the character search) each time because their name is a subset of a few other characters.
I have him added to my contacts, so I think if a typed name matches a contact(possibly with good standing?) it should auto complete that one character without having to double click or click and OK to specify the character each time.
Edit- I suppose this could also be expanded to corp names as well. |

Biggest pain points: When typing names in the private field, even if the exact name is typed/pasted, it still asks you to select the name from a popup with an unreal amount of variations of those names. It would be nice if that popup didn't happen if there is an exact match for the name.
Second biggest issue, after typing in name in private field, "Enter" key should take you to the next step.
Please bring back freeform and loan contracts. Loan contracts especially were very useful for corp management. |

My ideas are copies of what others have already said, but if you're counting occurrences of the same idea as votes, here are mine.
I would like the ability to create multiple contracts from one template. Our ship builders have a very dull time creating contract after contract of identical ships. They should be able to say "make 20 of these" and as long as the supplies are available, 20 contracts are created.
I'd like to be able to set up contracts from inside containers, including from my current ship. When our fleet docks up after a roam and I have to contract loot to someone, I'd like to be able to do it from my ship's cargo and not have to worry about about losing the items in my hanger. And yes, I use station containers, but not everything is always neatly tucked away.
The contract listing should show the description in a column - it's a critical piece of information and you currently have it hidden in a mouseover tooltip. [Multiple items] is not helpful. |

It's not exactly pointless. It's there so that drugs do not get included in courier contracts. If they could separate courier from item exchange contracts then it would make sense to remove the ban. |

A single window contract creation screen would be much better than the current 5-6 window format.
- All information is to be entered on one screen. That includes contract types, routes, recipients, prices, and names/descriptions.
- A drag and drop "contract inventory" would be more user friendly than the long-loading list format currently used. Cluttered hangars suffer long load times when creating a contract. Using an empty drag-and-drop window would remove the load times completely for new contracts.
- "Contract Inventory" could also dynamically disallow drag-and-drop of inappropriate items such as ships with cargo, contraband, or other invalid items, removing the need for an error window when attempting to finalize.
- Remove pop-up message boxes from the contract screen finalization. Pop-up windows where the only option is to click "OK" are poor UI design.
- Merge the final confirmation box into the creation window itself. Until all required fields are filled out, the "Finalize" button is grayed out, leaving only the "Cancel" option. Upon clicking "Finalize", the same window will ask you to confirm it by clicking the new "Confirm" button nearby. Editing of the contract is still available during "Confirm" mode, but editing any values or inventory will revert the contract back to the previous "Finalize" stage.
Just my ideas. I'm no UI designer. I just believe in more flexible single-window systems, rather than pop-up or new window spam. Ch+½j+ì Katrina Oniseki ~ (RDC) Chief Operations Officer ~ [I-RED] Director of Public Relations |
