My biggest complaint on the contract system is how it searches for "things" it automatically does an any search which if you're contracting to a short character name it brings up a load of random things. even if you drag the character name in off info it still does it, putting quotes on the name helps some but depending on the name it can be pretty bad.
Think the best way would be to improve the contract system so if you drag a character / corp in it automatically goes to that one via the metadata behind the link.
Also unable to contract illegal things is entirely annoying.
Also a small slightly off topic - in the contract window you can remotely split stacks but you cant split stacks in the asset window. |

They can require a collateral to be posted. A payment can be posted as well, given after the contract is completed.
Once the contract is accepted, it cannot be cancelled (until Z time is passed) It can be completed whenever X things are at Y place.
Useful for: Compression of ore contracts. People wanting X ships built and fit for them. Etc.
This would be very helpful. Add the ability to specify a different station for delivery, and to include cash in the upfront materials (while still allowing for an optional collateral) and this would be perfect. |

It would be nice if the contract search/API could flag courier contracts that had containers in them, since those plastic wraps cannot be item exchanged. Or, even better, let us item exchange plastic wraps with containers in them!
The ability to set an early completion bonus (with at least hourly increments) on courier contracts would be great. Mentioned already so +1 to that.
There is an odd bug/behavior when you right-click a plastic wrap (and possibly other items) in your private hangar to create an item exchange contract. If you accidentally select the "on behalf of my corporation" checkbox, then uncheck that checkbox and blow through the asset selection step without touching/changing anything, you end up creating an empty item exchange contract.
It would be nifty if the contract API returned the ID of the plastic wrap associated with each courier contract.
Major +1 to all the BPC related improvements suggested here (ME/PE, etc.). Also it would be really nice to be able to setup buy contracts for BPC's. Perhaps not researchable ones with varying ME/PE, but at least for the seeded ones like faction ships, ascendancy implants, etc. |

In addition to all the fine suggestions, I request
- API endpoint for Outstanding contracts, cached for no longer than 5 minutes
The above would increase the efficiency of Red Frog Freight's operations. At present the data is cached for 15 minutes, and we must process tens of thousands of contracts every 15 minutes.

Making it easier to block people's contracts would be good. Am never sure if using standard block also blocks their contracts and regardless, having the option to do both at once, or at least having the ability to block a users contracts in their right-click menu would be great. A right click option that views all active contracts from a specific character. Might save some of the contract spam in various channels, so that instead of spamming a dozen contracts in local someone can just say click me to see t1 bpc's for sale.

LOAN Contracts: Currently a loan contract has no practical use because it's not enforceable.
SOLUTION: 1. Require a sum on money and/or items to be put in escrow in a given station in return for the loaned item. The goods and cash to be delivered to the lender in case of default. Return them to the borrower if the borrowed goods are returned.
2. Permit the lender to extend the loan contract in return for extra cash or items being put into escrow.
The loan contract can then form the basis of a reasonable banking system within Eve. A real economy may develop as a result.

I have two issues with the current system:
* No search for exact string when looking up ambiguous names - Issue Example: I know the guy that owns both "Rainbow Dash" and "Fluttershy". Can you imagine how maybe people have variants of these? Typically I have to scroll a long way to find the result I already typed in - Option: Checkbox for exact term only - Option: Exact matches show as the first option
* "Multiple characters found" when there's only one character in the searchbox - I don't know why this happens but I suspect that there's a second character of the same or similar name, but biomassed. The dialogue can even say "2 characters found" and list only one. Either way, it's a glitch. |

I think courier contracts aren't worth doing them even for a new player .
My suggestion is this:
1.If there could be a lower limit price according to jumps low-high sec etc ,cargo capacity and total cost of the collateral.I mean they can't place 1b collateral and pay for 1 million for total.A mechanic that will auto calculate and fix that to be more balanced.
2.Do u know the company u-ship that runs in usa?Imagine something like that in EVE.A player needs to transfer let's say a 20000 m3 cargo that worth 100m.It will have bidders for some hours that want and can transfer this thing and the best price gets it.The bidders will have a status rating according to delivery time ,contact with player etc and the person who made the contract will able to rate the transfer and how pleased he was. If for some reason they fail or the contractor needs the items in specific time then the bidder will get really terrible rating.
Of course all players would be able to see the rating of each transporter in the contract menu or special menu. |

The way we split stacks is a bit weird, say you have 10 items and you want to split 2 off, for whatever reason you're left with the 8 selected rather than the 2.
Know this is probably an overall UI thing but its still annoyingly obtuse.
Same could be said for the list returning to the top after using this option. Travelling at the speed of love. |

Could you add a option to move a container remotely from a ship that you want to contract and contract it separately in the same contract? The reason I ask is because it is fairly annoying if you you can't contract laser ships remotely when you use a container in the cargo for spare crystals, what I and a lot other people do to prevent a mess in the cargo hold. This response indicates a misunderstanding of the term "escrow".
The proposal is that the borrower deposit physical assets (including cash) into a secure, concord-controlled escrow vault. While the contract is in force, neither party has access to the cash or assets since they are in a vault, and not in a player hangar or wallet.
If the borrower defaulted, concord would immediately deliver the cash and assets to the lender.
If the loan contract was completed successfully (by the borrower contracting the borrowed goods back to the lender), the cash and assets would be returned to the borrower.
If the loan contract was extended, the cash and assets would remain in escrow until one of the above conditions were met.
Obviously, this arrangement prevents people without collateral from borrowing expensive things that they can't afford.
It's parallel in the real world is a mortgage - a loan backed by assets.
This is the foundation of a banking economy.
In this way, I see no reason why the process cannot be extended to providing mortgages on expensive ships, POSes, POCOs and stations.
It gives less wealthy alliances a way to build infrastructure without ready cash - they can pledge future earnings in the contract - like you do when you buy a house.

Horizontal scrollbar in the contract view window if some columns are not visible. A 'Renew' button for contracts that have expired with the option of changing the time/cost but not the items included. A more advanced search function with the possibility of linking search results (link a search link in chat with all contracts owned by my character/corp for example)

Can we get a list near in the contract "to" within item exchange the 5-10 most selected entities we have contracted too and be able to select them. I would like this to be done with portraits, which could be corp / alliance logo's too. This would speed up contracting a lot.
For me such a list would have Alts, PushX, etc in them, and I would not have to type, check, etc if its the good entity, I just know. |

CCP SoniClover wrote:Hello Capsuleers. We're looking into what small improvements we can make to the contract system to make it more useful and trustworthy. We would love to hear any feedback from you guys on this. We're most interested in suggestions for UI/usability improvements and comments on pain points you encounter in using the system. The more constructive the feedback is the better; 'Get rid of the scammers' is for example not particularly helpful.
Thanks in advance for your help.
1. Increase the contract ceiling limits, they are very limiting when being used for managing logistics at alliance level
2. A feature to create bulk contracts from a stack of items would be a really big help.
i.e. select n ships, create bulk contract where each item in stack is setup as an individual contract with parameters from one dialog
Currently anyone setting up contracts for corp/alliance (think fitted ships all of the same type) has to individually set up a contract for each one. Ideally I'd like to select say 100 ships and through one action create 100 identical contracts.

I have made two contract ideas to forums earlier and recently I got idea of third contract idea.
Old idea: Fitted ships that are sold in contract system could have more clear interface so that you know how ship is fitted better. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=331463&find=unread
Old idea: Contract could have outpost/station is inaccessible filter so we don't need to open these contracts and waste our time with them. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=324493&find=unread
New idea: Repeat contract button. Lets assume I want to sell big packs of skill books. I have bought big pile of ten different skill books. I do ten split stacks so I can get one book of each type on hangar floor. Then I create contract and put sale price and other info there. Then contract is sold and I want to replace it with new contract. Then I have to go through all that trouble of splitting stacks and typing in contract data. If there was repeat contract button everything would be easier. I would search sold contract for these skillbooks and press repeat contract button. Then contract system automatically collects all necessary stuff from hangar floor and inputs all data and then it asks if I accept this new contract. If there is no necessary stuff on hangar floor or I'm in wrong station then I get error that says what is going on. Mikhem

More complicated idea, opened a separate thread:
here
Outlines:
Players can choose to have goods from buy orders or maybe just large hangar stockpiles delivered via auto-generated contracts. Number of courier contracts would vastly improve due to the ease of creating them.
This would improve gameplay for all haulers/transport services. In a second step, hauling as a profession could get a fancy route planning tool. |

Atm contracts take 4 windows to create. Shouldn't need more then 1
doing private contracts I type in the name and it always gives me a list of 10 people with the one I want around 6th. The list should start with the closest match not alphabetically. Even better choice of partial or exact match only.
I'd like the option to select multiple identical items that I could create individual contracts for with identical options. Like fit ships for alliance
Be nice to have at least 1 default filled in form if not more be able to save so people who do the same contract over and over again can do so much quicker. Like someone who puts up a new buy contract for something when the old one gets filled or expires.
How about more then 2 weeks with item exchanges?
Changing the sort order for contracts changes only the 100 listed. So when I want them ordered by price I still need to go through more then 1 page.
People can place buy orders for blue prints that don't exist (like faction ships) but can't place orders for copies (Yes I know ME and PE are variables) but how many Dramiel bpc's are there that have better then ME0 PE0?
You can do courier contracts but how come you can't do loan contracts? I'd like to do corp ship contracts where the corpies when there done with the ships can return them to the corp by completing the contract. same as a courier they don't return it by a set time corp keep the collateral. It would be no different then a courier so no reason you can't do it.
Don't cancel insurance because a ship gets stuck in an item exchange contract. Doesn't happen when you do a courier so its not something you can't do.
How about hiding contracts at stations people can't dock at? Like in 0.0 or factional warfare.
Could do something about more options for expiration times.
sometimes I create a contract then realize I don't have enough isk. Even if I transfer enough I still have to cancel the contract and start again.

Can we link the "ask for item" function to the entire item database? Right now there are certain somewhat obscure items where you can contract for sale, but not want to buy. This means you can't set up a trade exchanging rare item A for rare item B since you can't actually ask for item B in the contract system. |
