Does that mean your friends in Stain can no longer do that? Or the gate campers in Evilution that admit to killing all noobs in PF-346 and FD-MLJ because they are spies? You need to be consistant. How many "innocnets" do you think Stain killed in HED-GP? I am sure it is none. |

[307] Thing is that what reclaimer says is true. They have openly say they will kill everyone unknown to them entering this area. There is no way to know what they are doing there or anything but it has officially been announced that there is a war here and people have been advised to stay out. We do not shoot people that actually contact us before coming here and giving good reasons for being here. Neither do we shoot people listed as allies or NAP. During my time in this game noone has disappointed me more then you guys in this so called Curse Coalition. You might come here stating you don't want to deal with pirates etc etc but the true reason is that you don't dare to stand up against SA and FA so you decided to turn your backs on people who have sworn to protect this area for you. Seeing what kind of honor you have it is obvious to me that it's not a big loss for us that you left. I want people I can trust. ------------------ NoctoZ Black Reign Curse Alliance |

[309] Well, it is rather ironic that when Stain blows up a non-hostile Bestower full of blue prints in Catch and brags about it on the forums, there is little complaint. Yet when Sinister and its allies try to legitimize itself, it is fallen on deaf ears and we are attacked. Too lazy to get my sig changed |

Without in any way wanting to pop that balloon of self-deception, Noctoz, I'm afraid you're wrong. A week or so back, our corp (EMHI, Joviah's mob) was running a mining op deep in Curse. We had a relative newbie friend coming in his hauler to help us. Knowing Sinister were blokading a system on route we warned them he was coming. He jumped in and warped to a planet while we made sure everything was absolutely clear, because - put bluntly - we don't trust pirates. The Sinister mob searched him out and blew him up anyway. This wasn't a rush judgement at a jumpgate. It was just a motiveless desire to blow up a ship. Any ship. Reading these forums, the innocent might get the idea that somehow all the corps involved are filled with disciplined people acting according to a strategy decided by their leaders. Frankly, in the case of the pirate corps, that's cobblers. Most seem to have a smattering of organisers at the top who can string some words together in a sentence and give the impression of control. But their rank and file seem to consist mostly of bloodthirsty types who just want to kill anything they can. I personally tend towards a view of "a curse on both your houses". Curse was a peacable region before these two warring armies decided to make it their playground. Now it's like being in Germany during the 30 years war : both sides claim they're fighting for you, but your home ends up in ashes no matter which army passes through. So we locals have decided to defend ourselves. We've only got pitchforks to match the enemy's cannon, but there's a lot of us, and we live here. Now all I have to do is work out the difference between ECM and ECCM, and I'll fly my pitchfork towards the nearest enemy. <paints his face blue> You can take away my ship, but you can't take away my freedom ! |

Give me a name of this pilot as well as the location it happened and who shot him down and I will give you a full explanation of what happened. If you told us that he was off limits he shoudl not have been fired upon and if he was and you had contacted any representative of ours he whould have got a replacement ship. We have been pirates but we made the decition to come here and be the military arm of the curse alliance instead. We have no interest in shooting down people in general here. There are more then enough people from SA and FA to shoot at. ------------------ NoctoZ Black Reign Curse Alliance |

Nice try. But if your pilot had been on the channel and said he was coming through the non-event would have happened. Is this the reason you betrayed us? For one indy? I think not. Joviah is a liar and a coward. He pretends to be ppl friends and doesnt help when you really need it. Think FOA Joviah. |

[317] You misunderstand me. I was not claiming the decision of the corp is about one indy. That part of my response was merely intended to demonstrate to Noctoz that life isn't as black and white as he thought. Ultimately, we've been forced into a position where we cannot simply remain neutral. Our ships are being destroyed, and our livelihoods threatened. In such situations, one makes a choice. Our choice is effectively the lesser evil as we see it. People are sometimes willing to risk the loss of everything if they believe the cause is noble or just. But I'm afraid that there aren't many people in Curse who are willing to make those sacrifices simply in order to prop up the coalition of pirates and anarchists who comprise the core of the CA. If the price of our peace is to temporarily find ourselves allied with SA in order to rid ourselves of the greater evil, then so be it. If, after this war, SA prove you right and announce their hegemony over Curse, then we will turn our pitchforks onto their arses too. But for the time being, they're the Red Army rushing to meet us at the Elbe. We may not speak the same language, but we share an objective. Leave Curse now. |

[319] Edited by: Joviah on 30/09/2003 15:34:51 Heh, Reclaimer, do you really want to bring back ancient wars in Empire territory? A war that my corp at that time won? Interesting you should mention that -- because we entered into that war to protect a fairly young corporation we had offered our protection to. A corporation by the name of... hmm what was it again? OH YEAH! FATAL SHADOWS! That's right, I died protecting you guys. As a matter of fact, Federation of Assassins would have torn you guys to shreds if it weren't for our assistance. Why did we assist you? Because pirates moved into our territory, just like they have done now. Had you been observant enough to recognize my name, as I recognized yours, you would have realized this outcome was inevitable from the start. I mean come on, let's be honest here. Sinister and m0o are 2 of the most notorious pirate gangs in the galaxy! Oh well, the tables have turned, we are now enemies. Your friend knew about my plans long before they occured, simply because I offered him the chance to come with us. I warned him that you guys would be in danger soon, and I warned him again last night as well. Even after being called a traitor, a coward, etc etc. Blah blah -- everyone else here is being called the same things. It really doesn't phase me, and personally I don't care. The only people I answer to are my corporate employees, like Roy Haggerty. I'm not one to get into a flame war, and I won't be posting again. HOWEVER, I'm glad you brought that up Reclaimer -- thanks for reminding me and allowing me the opportunity to clear that one up for ya. Joviah Director, Cirrius Technologies |

[321] Only one thing I'd like to know, how the corps of the CC can join CA in the first place, when they hate pirates. After some time doing nothing for the CA they decide to leave the CA. Well noone is holding them back but why are they telling all kind of BS when they leave?? (Maybe avoid a lot of bad pr) I really dont understand how a corp hating pirates as much as they say would even consider joining an alliance with former pirate corps. IMHO it sounds like some corps was looking at the situation in curse and said to them selves," hey we ****** up and started a war with an alliance we cant take on our selves. Lets join them and if they beat stain we can stay in curse". Then later on "uhh, SA and FA are coming, this is looking baaad, lets leave and then if SA and FA win we can stay in curse" Now I know this is only thoughts of mine, but I can tell you this, CC have never given any support to the alliance while they where in it, and before the alliance they where ready to start a war... I dont like them and now I've been Betrayed I just want them to die |

[327] Edited by: Ramuis on 30/09/2003 19:27:33 sry Yuen, I later stated that some of the corps in CA are former pirate corps. I have had no problems with sinister after they moved to curse (allot before). I know allot of people are claiming they are still pirating but as far as I know noone have been killed without compensation after they decided to be clean. Red corsairs and RUS have been mentioned and I have never in my time playing eve had any problems with these two corps. |

Odd. I find the vehemence of Tyrell employees amusing, considering popular rumor has it you paid Sinister 10 million isk per week to leave you alone in Curse. My sources aren't clear on whether that was minerals, straight isk, or a mixture of the two, but that's hardly the point is it? So you're all quite happy funding pirates, but once SA comes knocking on the door, you suddenly commit a complete about face? Interesting indeed. |
