Noctos - Surely you know you came to fight us? It has been made quite clear by Jim and others on this thread. Why do you think RUS allied with you after spending weeks trying to kill you all? They needed you to attack SA in gerneral, and MASS in particular, and we thank you for that. We are a fighting Corp, and I must say I am developing some respect for Sinister as fighters over the last few days.

It seems that many of the Corps that allied with you are not primerally fighting corps and actually thought you were going to mine with them, and give up your pirating ways. So they welcomed you along with the Herod School of Baby Sitting that I understand set up an office in Curse as well.

It was you who betrayed them - I have great deal of respect for them for admitting they were fooled, and to do something about it.

At last the gloves are off and I, for one, am happier for it.

When Nexus Enterprises first came to Curse, it was to get away from all the care bears and noobs in battleships flying around in empire space. We had our run-ins with a few of the local small pirate corps, lost a few ships and then hunted them down and, with the help of a few friendly local corps, drove them out. This naturally led to the idea of working together, etc...

Nexus then absorbed a couple smaller corps and proceeded to start working with others towards establishing a working Coalition. About halfway into this, we discovered that there was an existing "Alliance" in Curse already. We met with their people and even though they included Red Corsairs as part of their group, the Coalition corps agreed to a Non Aggression treaty.

Over the course of the next couple weeks, what was known as the Eventide Treaty fell apart as Fubie and the other Coalition CEOs kept getting report after report of hostile activity. Then, out of the blue, Sinister and crew arrive. Nexus and the CC looked upon this as the defining moment of the Coalition:

Exactly how far were we willing to go in order to maintain the peace? This was too much.

The Coalition has always, first and foremost, been a defensive alliance. We do not go out and start fights for the sake of starting them or because we are bored. We have even gone to the aid of non-Coalition pilots under attack on numerous occasions. The bottom line is that, no, we did not want this war. However, that does not mean in any way that we lack the means or the resolve to fight it through to a successful conclusion.

Personally, I'm thrilled at the prospect of a full blown war. The unfortunates side effect of this though is that there are a few players in CA corps whom I actually like (you know who you are) whom I must now shoot at. Twisted Evil Cool Sorry guys, but you are not an Alliance. You are a group of people who have let Sinister and their thug's reputations intimidate you into fighting a war.

As far as STAIN is concerned, the Curse Coalition welcomes them if they wish to aid in driving the scum out of Curse. Thank you to our friends in Evolution and Everlasting Vendetta for their initial efforts thus far.

Long live the Coalition and I'll see you all on the battlefields! Cool

After reading through these posts, I've learned that many people simply think of Sinister when they hear of the Curse Alliance.

Allow me to say what transpired from the position of our corporation.

The Knights of the Minmatar Republic are a small proud corporation. We have never been pirates or killed innocents at this time or since our beginning. We also fought our share of pirates.

We sat by and watched one region after the next be gobbled up in the hands of select corps calling themselves regional alliances. What most of the normal players don't realize is that regional alliances are much more dangerous than your normal gate camping pirates. Regional alliances close of entire sections of space to players, where as the gate campers will hold on to a gate or two. Regional alliances will demand that you get a 'pass'. Venal until recently was far too much of a flash point to go there, and the Fountain alliance charge 1 million isk a day just to hunt there. Stain on the other hand, say that you should eve mail this person or that for information on going there, but we never got a response.

For a long time now we haven't been able to go to many good npc 0.0 regions because of other regional alliances. Curse was the last decent place we could go to and enjoy the riches of of mining and npc hunting, without straying too far from a station. We have come to call Curse our home.

Little by little it became evident that the Stain Alliance was showing more interest in Curse. We saw more and more Stain Alliance (and MASS in particular) ships in Curse. It wasn't enough that MASS pilots had all of Stain to hunt in, they had to come to Curse and hunt there as well. We began to obtain information that plans to annex Curse were imminent.

We decided that enough was enough. We would not be bullied away from any of our choice spots. We were still angry from being forced to abandon the Venal region when the Venal Alliance was formed. So when the threat became imminent and the alliance a reality, we joined up to defend our home. People point to Sinister and say that we are all lawless. The fact is that CA has been under constant attack since its inception, and all combat pilots have been tasked for combat. I don't know where these claims of piracy come from. I know that none of my pilots have fired on anyone who was not a declared enemy of ours.

Since joining the alliance I have come to admire the dedication, professionalism and conviction of our new found friends. We did not enter the alliance simply to give us time (like the curse coalition did) to stab them in the back. Our word is our bond, and we will live and we will die by it. The likes of the Curse Coalition will never enjoy such a relationship with anyone else, since we all know what is the value of their word.

Those are shameful comments about my friend. Fubie spends hours and hours just trying to setup a fun playing environment for the people in his corp. The poor guy pays his monthly fee like we all do and he hardly ever gets to see the fun bits in the game. Most of his time is taken up with the admin/political parts of the game which go on in the chat channels. Rarely does he get to fly and have fun, thats because he sacrifices so much of his personal time for his friends. He is not a liar and backstabber like you say he is. He is a man of honor.
