this is seriously the worst move you could make, i realize that the thinking behind is that you can earn more if ppl keep paying even if there are times where they dont want to play.
But being able to train while account was deactivated was one of those things that really binds players to eve and keeps them coming back.
It is (or was) very unfair to CCP, since people could and did abused this to train cap-ship alts and alike.
I think this is a reasonable move on CCP's part.
its sad to see a good feature go because of some ppl abusing it , but you have a point

And about time with the training on non-active accounts, and also logging in with a trail account if another is active, anyway you can get this done by other details as well, IE E-mail address on the account, IP address ect ect, anyone with two machines can now do this or even with Virtual PC running.
Unless you have 2 incoming internet connections with 2 different WAN IP addresses, don't think you can...

Skills no longer train when the owning account is deactivated.
I really really hate that one. Due to a rather hefty workload I sometimes don't have the time to play EVE. Sometimes that's a few days, sometimes it's expressed in months. One of the things I liked is that I could deactivaet my account for the time I wasn't going to be there (at least a month, or more) and still keep a skill going. If I'd need to log in in the meantime to change one, I'd reactivate for a month so I could do that.
This takes away a bit of flexibility, although I can see the other side of the coin as well, it stops the character builders that just train up a char without ever logging in, and run the big long-time skills during a non-subscribed period.
I hope this will be reconsidered.. or at least, I'd like to know why CCP chose to take this route.

I applaud the warp to 0km but would like to make a note of that in some asteroid belts in the new regions which I tried it at, it results the ship flying into an asteroid and bumping of the roid, resulting in ship going faster than it should and taking forever to stop.
CCP should change it so that if ship bumps to object, like Interceptor bumping into a Battleship, the smaller mass object should immediately go to 0-90% structure depending on bump velocity and 0% armor 0% shields.
This would fix the collision exploit where small ships are preventing large ships from warping by bumping to them. Also it would make it risky to warp at 0km as you might hit something in the process and go to structure.

I think the warp field of a ship (wether forming or deactivating) should make the ship "immaterial" to a certain point, so that it is not blocked by solid objects. That would also fix the issue where the ship that just undocked gets stucked in warp without moving because the station is blocking the warp...

Im glad newbies will have it easier, because that simply wasnt fun. And they also start with 800k now, so they are actually going to become decent very fast. --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

Yup, but they have not stated how thats inforced, Client side, server side.
If it's client side then the client check's to see if another process is running of the same name and the char it's running.
Server side would need some form of ID for every player to inforce this. EG:
Process 1 is running char XXX Trial Process 2 loads char YYY, Server knows that player XXX is locked to the user of char XXX,AAA and BBB. XXX is running, process to is disalowed access to the server.

"Items not in a market group can no longer be bought or sold on the market."
Instead of allowing to search for all items that could be sold on market before (officer gear, cosmos items, lowly faction stuff that is sold in bulk), you nerf it to hell? Why? Together with the contract system, this has the potential to totally destroy the volumes of all un-ordinary items. If i remember correctly, you can have 15 open contracts at max skill level. Thats about 60-100 Contract slots for the average eve player (4 accounts, 2 alts each trained to IV, as the other alts will probably be undercover or in space for scouting, cyno etc). This means that if you want to sell a lowly True Sansha Reflective plating worth 1m or so, you will have to log in an alt. No thanks. Same for COSMOS items, BPCs, etc.
Why do you want to totally nuke trading?

That asides, is there a limit on private contracts you can have? As in player-to-player?

Probably but in the end even that one point is worth the time so they (and me for a couple learning skills)will do it eventually. But is handy to be able to progress faster than before.

Big big HUGE ovation to those that compiled the patch notes. This is the most comprehensive patch notes i've ever seen. And those links to closed thread giving even more details are great. Huge job doing all this, i can imagine.

Yeah, I noticed TomB spending hours posting that stuff. Probably took days to write it all too. And also 30 new tutorial missions for the new stuff... THAT must have taken some serious time to put together.
So everyone except RealX is working I guess... (where is that sound mix, dammit! )

I'm going to miss 'save password' on several accounts.
Oh well. No more trial account scouting is a good thing, although it hardly bothers those who have second accounts already.
I take it there'll be no more parking your ship and being in space in a pod then? That one did get quite useful out in 0.0, where shuttles aren't plentiful.

Taking away the feature of skills continuing to train while accounts were inactive is a mistake. There is incentive in reactivating an account when you know you'll be able to do something new. Additionally, please do not disrespect your customers by pretending it was bug all along, when it was labeled as a feature on My Account.

Ok CCP you're making a mistake with this one. One of the HUGE advantages Eve had was being burn out friendly. If a player got sick of the game they used to set a long skill and take break with the reward of a finished skill if they came back. Now people will burn out and have no motivation to resubscribe.
You may think you're making the right choice for the $$$ but in the long run you're not.
