i dont know if any progress has been made with the telnor outage issue that some are getting.
i managed to get on just after the server outages by waiting for the countdown to hit 0 and it let me connect.
but once i logged off it went back to the usual status:unknown, at least i got to switch skill, but the issues still need to be looked at

Whats with the new message on the serverlogin board? "Connections fully enabled." Is it supposed to be a bad joke? Connection status is still unknown damn it!
Oh and btw... Live in Asker-Norway with a Telenor router hookup!

Server is still unknown, and impossible to log onto. Also the web pages that requires secure connection such as account details etc are down.
Are there problem with encryption since the unencrypted pages are ok?
Can someone fix it pls since i am about to leave for vacation for 14days and dont have skill set :( --- Live and learn, die and learn more! http://www.dukefoss.com/eve/ |

I've had the same problem since Thursday night. Im in Sandnes, Norway and got Telenor ISP. I were just wondering if the people that can't log on are all based on the Telenor NETWORK. Like there are many internet suppliers that use other companies NETWORKs, and since the Telenor NETWORK ( if Im not way off ) is worldwide it might be because of a bad setting at Telenor that does this? Or is that even possible?
This reply was brought to you from the noobish KingdomKnight. " Yes, I am indeed a noob. Now go tell the world! "

See Spawinte's last comment. A good summary of the thread. If you see Telnor on your tracert you can either use the proxy being provided by Uhr (read back) or wait until the dodgy router is fixed, which I believe is Monday. An alliance mate had problems and managed to get them fixed ... here's his suggestion below. This worked for him (sorta) so it might work for others(not me).
== I managed to get my computer working. Had to renew the IP address through DOS.
ipconfig /release net stop "DHCP client" net start "DHCP client" ipconfig /renew
Worked for me. No idea if it will work for you.
Now I can't access the eve-o forums instead..... ==

I don't know if anyone's issue is caused by this, but I recently was completely unable to connect to the server, and then I found out that a recent update of a program called PeerGuardian (wiki it for what it does) blocked the tranquility ip address. If you're running it, go into the program and manually allow 87.237.38.200 in the filter list.

I called BBB today again, they donŠt have this prob reported ... I told them i have called them 3 times over 2 days now.. and that they now what it was.
Today they had no clue at all.. (new peeps at Helpdesk.. )
But this time i wasnŠt happy until they had reported this as a failure. They where trying about -But you can reach everything else on internet?? And i said..Yes.. until i came across the the routers again.. then it wont work.. and my RL brother has another ISP and they donŠt have a problem.. so it must be something with you. And i want it fixed please..
And i asked when i could expect some feedback... 1 hour...3 hours.. or Šwill i have to wait until Monday. They thought Monday..
So all you others that have the probs at BBB or other ISP. Make sure you got it reg as a fault, otherwise it will not be reg. and noone will do anything... just talk about it.

This post is only regarding Swedish users and Swedish ISPs.
I for sure have already started checking what other ISPs I can use that don't use the "services" from telenor. So far the only provider I've found in Sweden is ComHem. Anyone know if they have any issues with EVE? iirc Telia customers had a router issue causing an outage recently. How fast did they respond to it? And is it only BBB (now owned by telenor) customers in Sweden that have problems or is this router also shutting down other ISPs?

To all those more IT savvy than myself:
Is there any commands/tools we could be using to help diagnose our problems more fully. Until now all I can tell anyone is that tracert is fine. I am stuck at home for the day and would be quite willing to try anything see if it helps.

Seems that the problem caused by a faulty core router between telenor/BBB/various scandinavian ISPs and CCP's servers in london has not yet been resolved.
I am still providing proxy access for people with this problem so that they can use another route and play. Mail me: babarr AT gmail D0T com

Is it time to split this thread? There seems to be a significant group of us experiencing problems that are not connecting through Telnor routers. See comments above form myself and Spawinte among others.
