give you password and username to the closit friend you have .. nad let him start a skill training ... or go with you pc to a friend .. the thing is nott all uf us that have telenor have this problem .. and this is what make it strange

EveMon has same issues trying to DL char information from the server... Same thing.. There are 2 types of traffic bieng requested and only one type is getting thru... That is why we can surf the eve-online servers but not do anything requiring database access requests it seems.

Yea I have done that actually just now... Mate on TS fixed my trainings for me... As for the Telenor thing.. Different customers in different reqions are getting different routing... thats all.

I just called my ISP. Since its Cable they dont rely on Telenor lines. He checked my line and couldnt find anything that could cause problems from "my side of the table". He checked for disturbance and more. My guess is that this is a CCP related issue.
However, i have no clue what it is. Why havent CCP replied to this thread yet?

well it can be cabel but still if there is a hub that betwen us and the uk that is not working .. you cabel will not help ... you geting same problem

The router doesnt care whether you use cable or fibre or DSL or whatever..

Try that and reboot and restart eve... It MIGHT help... It doesnt seem like you are having real network issues according to the tracert anyway.

I can use the search ok on www.eve-online.com if that is any use to you. I uninstalled and reinstalled eve - total clearout with no effect. I think I'll hold on for a couple of days then maybe start from scratch.

I was IT Chef for Lap Power (Scandinavias largest manufacturer of computers untill 2002), and owned MindWorx AB in stockholm untill 2004... Then I will assume the search portion is on the UK servers... Thats got that question answered... I have sent CCP a mail to that address they requested with tracert info... Would be good if we all did the same... Maybey we can get something done.

If so that machine might be able to get thru... We have another person who was able to get thru via different setups for wireless/LAN.. The ipconfig /all info would be valuable for us. Also your location/provider info... If Telenor, where exactly are you located..

Have just spent last 30 minutes with drift technicians at BBB and they traced the server and found the problem does indeed have to do with 2 core routers at telenor... I am at work so I am not the actuall "customer" so what needs to happen is that someone (preferably everyone that is customer at BBB or Telenor) ring now and report the error... The support guy said that that will allow them to lay up and order for it to be fixed faster... The more people that report it the faster this will go...
And to answer the UDP TCP ICMP question... yes i am aware of that though my point was more of that "there are more than one type of connection and one type can get thru while another cant." but I appreciate the extreme technical word surgery... tho the information was really not necessary to make the point... Fact it I didnt even think about it with more than one of my brain cells : ) I was mostly aggrivated at his tone at the time.

Well this is wierd. I just tested on my wifes laptop. When connected to wireless it didnt work. Just got the "unknown" part. However, when i connected it directly to router it worked! Now i face a serious problem tho. How do i explain to my wife that i have to disconnect wireless since EVE is more important than any other internett related stuff. AND i need to run to the store to get a cable that is long enough to connect to this pc

Then he didnt really do it... He just gave you the "yea yea yea looks fine to me.." brushoff, cause we all know it doesnt look fine, and one of thier techs just told me also he knows that 2 core routers are down, but that telenor has to fix them, they dont have access.. the most we can do is put pressure on them.
When you call make sure you get a real drift tekniker and not some help-desk guy.

Well on my support call the error were verified in their end. Quite odd if they have it working only from certain computers in the support department.

Yea I think its like that with all tech supports... some guys are busy playing WoW and just say what they think will get you off the phone fastest.
Would be good to ring down telenors support as well.. Tho we know they arent gonna do anything about it now at least it will get the issue prioritised monday morning.

Yeah sotarn, he must have flipped you the bird.
I was also in contact with the tech's at BBB earlier today, he couldn't reach the ip adress either and i explained the situation. I did however get the wait until monday ****e.
Kinda strange that they say they cant affect telenor aren't they the same corp kinda, perhaps they just love eachothers logo.

i did contact them ... i am in norway and got them ... and thay told me thay were looking at it on monday ... and thay just asked fore my trace .. and dident cear that mutsh ...
sooo it is most likely the nix problem ..... sins it aint a ccp problem then it is outside and logic woud then say if it stops at telenor then it is at telenor the problem is .... and as telenor is a ****** ***** ****** ***** . we mitght haw to wate to next week before thay do anny ting ... so guys jsut get a movie or so ... or ! cal +47 05000 and conplain as hell ! *in norwagian .. just yell private and internet and then yes ... and you shud get a guy to talk to :P after typing the # bnuten after getign conected *^_^* yes i had to do that a lot of times .... thay suck ... i am switshing this month to a difrent provider :P
