They both stops at the same time as the tracert posted above.
One machine can log on to eve, the other can't. I've tried removing the firewall but that doesn't help.

the other computer just returns error 65 on the tracert cmd. I even bypassed my router and went straight into the cable modem and get the same thing. All things done to correct as in the other posts. Server just refuses to give ip for both clients

forgot to add that I can connect to both my accounts on the computer that does connect, but what is wierd is that even though I shut down the working puter, the client on the other still refuses conection, as if the ip is static, not dynamic

Exactly the same thing on my end.
Edit: I can access singularity and multiciply from the non-working computer. This feels very much like something on CCP's end. Everything worked fine this morning.

Most likely unrelated. The people in this thread were disconnected a few hours ago and haven't been able to log on since, most are from scandinavia which mean they are probably using the same core router somewhere along the path.

I just tried to download the last patch to update a 3rd laptop, but got the following message:
"There was an unexpected error while retrieving patch status:
Unable to download file o2/evepatch32517-33752.exe from the server. Error: Connection refused
Do you want to go to support page?"

There is something very strange going on...
I managed to download patch for test server successfully 1 time, and the 7th attempt I got this message (2 .. 5 got connection refused):
"The patch was downloaded but it failed verification indicating that the file is corrupt. Would you like to download the file again?
You will not able to enter the game until you download the patch."
I managed to download patch for live server 1 time, and then 10 attempts got connection refused.
Something just seems very unstable... I checked Telenor system messages, and they reported a "overload" event causing packetloss some time ago (seems a bit identical to what we have now). It was due to heavy Internet traffic.

well you dont gonna se it when its come up ... becouse the server is up !!! so ,,, thing is .. to many people with difrient isp ... ****rys and even the same country that the eve server stand in having this problem .. this problem is 10 days old now ... and more and more people geting it ... until ccp dont ganna try do smothing every body will getting it

Having the same problem, EVE gives me unknown server status after trying to connect to Tranq. All was fine for about 6 hours ago, then I took a break, came back, but could not connect.
I'm in Sweden, running on GlocalNet.

Eve is letting me login, but then just hangs on the loading Character selection....
expect a reboot soon I think. I was logged in and the lag was terrible.

well her is the thing .... we cant do annything ... stopp ping and alle the stuff .the problemn is betwen you ( and also my) isp and london. there is a main issu ... i hope it wil be fixt tomorow .. but it do not get fixt by uss ... i pingt and scand my hole network with an network technical ... that all ... let us sleep and hope ... (but you still can contact you isp .. making things faster too hapen ... that problem is now 9 days old ... more and more getting it from all europe ...sorry m8 but we cant do annyting

Woho! I bug reported this issue here on the site.
You must give the guys handling bug reports more love. I got the reply they don't handle support requests and to use (your going to love this) "the ingame petition system". So in short if you can't get ingame go ingame and report this. But ever so helpful the automatic message also referred me to two addresses on EVE-O that are just as dead as the account maintainance pages.
So I can't play, I can't report it in any way and, short of telling my credit card company to reject EVE charges, I can't even stop paying for this service.

Once again... Do a Tracert and you will see that the connection dies at Telenors router. Theres nothing CCP can do about this, short of them buying up Telenor and rebooting thier router. Since its Midsommar weekend, I can imagine that anyone capable of noticing the problem is hung over and free from work today as well.. We are not likely to see a resolution of this problem untill someone can physically CALL Telenors Customer support and talk to a tech that can reboot the router.
Now is a good time to catch up on all the other things in life you usually ignore due to eve I guess...

Don't think its a ISP problem Spawinte as I can tracert fine to CCP server.
Here's what I have found so far after nearly two weeks of this.
Firewalls - I uninstalled my firewall, reinstalled EVE - got a connection to game last Thursday. Restarted PC - connection gone. Firewall gone, still no connection.
I have tried restoring PC to a day when I knew this was working - nothing happening. I don't think a system restore really does restore. I know for a fact that nothing was installed on the PC prior to it not working. I keep it pretty well locked down. Except for security patches etc from microsoft ;-).
I suggest everyone pile in as much info as they can into the thread, it might help someone somewhere.
And please no fixes along the lines of delete your firewall ... we are all adults here.
