Hmm for whatever reason EFT I'm using atm is 2.13.3 and the link in the first thread leads to 2.13.1. I think I downloaded mine from the future !!!

I too have been having this problem with EFT and Evemon. I've tried tweaking my firewall settings to no avail. I also cannot use the in-game browser (though this may be unrelated).
Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
See if a proxy server is enabled. If it is turn it off and run some antivirus and antimalware software! Most of the time if this is enabled without your knowledge it's due to malware...

Hi, I have just loaded the latest version but I am still getting passive recharge rates for shield which are massivly higher than I get from the shipp fitted in game (211 in EFT against 45 in game) any suggestions for what I can do to correct this?

Oh and IIRC ingame shows tank vs lowest resist whereas EFT uses default omni damage profile unless you've changed it. |

Yes I have imported skills and info and these seem correct. I have just tried creating a damage profile based on a kinetic 80% and thermal 20% mix (local rats) which lowered the passive repair a little but not to realistic levels. I take it this does not sound like any familiar bug?

Changing damage profile shouldn't do anything to your's ships passive repair (because it's function of shield amount and shield recharge), so I presume, you're talking about defence. Dafence says not about how much shield your ship repair, but how much damage she can take. Or in other words: effective repair/recharge.

My Fitting Panel's Market/Faction/Complex/Commander buttons are grayed out and can't be selected.
Anyone else have this problem?

I'm having this aswell. It's more than just the SBAs aswell. Capacitor power relays aren't reducing shield boost, the tengu's amplification node and the maelstrom's minmatar battleship skill bonus aren't increasing it either.

To all folks having problems with things that increase shield/armour rep amounts: You are using the latest version, 2.13.1, yes? The defence calc bug was introduced in 2.13 but was supposed to have been fixed in the latest version, and it all works fine for me...

I'm also seeing issues with the EHP being wildly high compared to the in-game values. Tried an unfitted 'tengu' with 'supplemental screening' subsystem installed and the in-game shield regen rate is 8 hp/s while EFT shows 17 hp/s.
Skills have been synced to via the limited API key. Anyone else seeing this problem ?

You seem to be talking about recharge, which does not affect EHP. But you knew that, right? Recharge per sec is just shield HP/recharge time in sec, multiplied by ~2.4 at peak. You should be able to use that to figure out which is giving the wrong number.

I bet he is talking about passive defense, so EHP/s regenerated. As said before on this page, eve uses lowest resist to calculate it, EFT uses omni damage for calculations. Since a tengu has the mother of all EM holes in its shields that will give a large difference compared to EFT, which only assumed 25% EM damage.
In other words eve gives worst case scenario while EFT gives a far more realistic scenario.

Potential error in version 2.13.1:
When updating my ORE Industrial skill from I to V (or any level above one, for that manner), my Noctis' capacitor goes from stable to lasting only seven minutes (or slightly longer, if I change the skill to II - IV).
Current fit is as follows:
3x Expanded Cargohold II 1x Sensor Booster I 1x 10MN Afterburner 4x Salvager I 4x Small Tractor Beam I 3x Medium Salvage Tackle I
Let me know if I'm just being a moron (I haven't tested this in-game, because if EFT is right, I'd lose cap stability by training up one more level) and have overlooked something.

So, uh, what does the new "rating" mean above the ship EHP? I've been trying to figure this out for a week now.
Does it connect to BattleClinic and parse the ranking from there? Who knows, maye aliens are rating my setups from outside spacers. ...? _______

I have a setup with no rating at all... 
Also, any chance of a quick n' dirty toggle to change the calculation for hull pricing to reflect "Cost to lose" as opposed to "Cost to buy". ie, insurance taken into consideration?

From the FAQ.txt file included in the download:
Q: What is the Rating value shown for some setups? A: Rating should be used to find out most effective ratio between maximizing hitpoint buffer and maximizing ship's firepower for currently prevailing fitting principle of buffer tanking ships. In one on one fight between two buffer tanked ships one with higher rating should win (of course provided similar weapon tracking conditions for both sides). In is also possible to sum the ratings of all ships in the group to get the estimate of fight outcome against another group of buffer tanked ships. Exact formula is: Rating = (EHP*DPS)^0.5

What trouble are you having? There's no real installation, just extract the .zip file, double click the EFT.exe file in the folder that gets extracted and off you go. You can put the folder that's extracted somewhere useful and make a shortcut to the .exe if you want it on your desktop.
Apologies in advance if this is teaching you to suck eggs and you have a real issue running the program.

I found a bug ...
Fitted an Osprey w/ 2 x LST II + 4 Cap rech. II + 1 CPU II + 2 CPR I + 2 CCC rigs
According to EFT, it holds cap for 58 seconds w/ my skills - I dunno where the problem is - but I do know that it is stable ingame :)
And yes - using newest build, and yes, my skills and implants are up to date =)
Otherwise, awesome little app :D

As you see, there are some bugs regarding T3 subsystems ;)
Besides .. EFT calculated peak-hp regen (you peak at 25% shield), Ingame just shows the avrg.
