At the bottom of the module selection, there are tabs where you can select which types of mods you want to display. While this might be good for people new to EVE and browsing for modules, I find it incredibly clumsy if I already know what I am looking for, since it forces me to do many extra clicks when fitting mixes of faction, deadspace, officer and standard mods while using the text search to quickfind modules. Would much prefer if the search would show ALL the mods.
Also, a favorites feature is the one most needed thing for this to be able to really live up to quickfit. Right now I still use mostly quickfit even though the latest version has an outdated DB and a bunch of bad bugs, since it is simply so much more convenient.

found a little error. The shield-resistance of the Mackinaw are incorrect. The program shows EM :25% (correctly: 37,5%) Therm:40% (correctly: 50%) Kin :55% (correctly: 62,5%) Expl :70% (correctly: 75%)

one thing which i loved with QuickFit was that you could select Slot.
So if you select "Only Low Slot" it only shows the Items fitting into low slot ( useful in cases you have a free slot and unsure which would be the best item to fit there)
would love to be able to Max. The Ship Fitting Setup window within the EFT window
I would if it would be possible and nice to haave the following option:
e.g. you check different Shield Booster ( liek faction,commander,T2) you always have to fit one look at the layout. remove it, select the next one - so might be nice in the case that there is no spare Slot it tries to find if there is a Item of the same Group fitted and replace that.
Copy item, e.g. you have 2 BCS fitted ... and you remove one to replace it with a PDS so you search for the PDS ... now you decide PDS sucks and want your second BCS back .. so you have to search for it again ... ( rather than simple copy the item from the other slot. ( might be with right-click Menu or shift Drag or something) another solution to that would be making the existing "show Market Group" also select the same Sub-Group (e.g. Complex) -------------------------------------------- Best 3rd Party Tools for Eve: EveMon - Character Planning Tool EFT - Eve Fitting Tools EveMeep - Market,wallet Journal + Pos Tool |

Just a question. When are the new mods hoing to be introduced to EFT? The mining upgrade II and others have now been added and was just curious if the patch for EFT was out and I just don't see it or what. The 2.3 doesn't have them (that's the one I have now).

Can we get a "paste" function? There's a copy to clipboard, how about the paste? What I am doing instead to mess with ship setup options is edit the .cfg, replicate the one you want to mess with and give it a new name, then restart the client.

When fitting MWD module I can access (with right click) affecting skills: Acceleration control and High speed manouvering. I wish I had there navigation skill too.

I don't know if this has been pointed out before, but it appears that there is an error in the recharge rate calculation. Using a setup that I know has stable cap on TQ, and shows as stable cap in Quickfit, EFT calculates a lower recharge rate. The cap usage is the same, but the recharge is too low (by around 8%).

Concerning cap recharge issues: QuickFit uses 2.45*CapacitorCapacity/CapacitorRecharge, EFT uses 2.4 and adds any cap you get from nosferatus to it. If you compare your nos equpped setup from EFT with one in EVE make sure that to nos someone who has more cap than you are.

You can copy item. Drag to the another slot with right mouse button and you'll be given an option to copy it.

Thanks for the tool. It takes a minute to get used to from using quickfit for quite a while but I think it is much cleaner.
One suggestion, could add an option on the character drop down in a fit that would be "Minimum Skills Required". I realize you can get around any skill problem by setting the character to "All Level V". Or you can right click on the module and change the related skills. However, the lvl 4 character is an unrealistic solution because there is a good majority of people far from that. And the right click to modify related skills takes quite some time when you have more than one module you are adding to the fit which you don't have skills for.
This would be more difficult than the current method because you would have to calculate minimum skills every time you added/subtracted a module. However, it would make a better tool for looking at ships beyond your current skills and determining what to expect and so forth.

Is there any reason that freighters are not found in EFT? It would be nice to see how skills affect the cargo size on it. QFT blows up pretty handily if you select a freighter.

Don't know it it has been reported before, but the 'Advanced Weapon Upgrades' skill seem to affect Power Grid, not CPU!

First, let me say that this is an AWESOME tool, thank you very much for the effort you have put into this.
But of course, we always want more. I couldn't make it through all 20 pages of this post to see if my question has already been asked, so I am going to ask and apologize in advance if it has been asked 20 times before.
Are there plans to add Faction & Deadspace modules and ships to this in the future? I used quickfit for prechecking my mission ship setups before I would drop the isk on expensive faction gear. I like using your tool better than quickfit, but I'm stuck without the faction gear choices.
Again, awesome job.

Well it IS easy to miss. And the subdivision into categories only adds clicks for the experienced user that already knows what he wants to fit rather than browse for stuff, so I really don't like it either. If I enter ballistic control into the search, I want ALL BCUs to be listed, not just the ones in the currently selected category :(
Of course the main reason for this whine is the lack of favorites, if I had those I would have to do the clumsy search only once for mods I commonly use at least.

i really like it, it's saved a ton of money on trying out new builds since i can test it BEFORE i spend the money to find out it's not so great.
the one thing i'd like to see though is a change to the display window for parts, more like the info displayed in game's sheet. on more then a few mods i have to look em up in game because the description isnt so great on the eft. other then that it's great, and i love how it's broken down into things like faction, commander, general, and such, makes finding things alot easier :) __________ [-WSI-] "In the name of God, impure souls of the living deal shall be banished into eternal damnation. Where are the ships setups saved? I just reinstalled my windows and forgot to check were they are saved :( May i recommend the be saved in the users application directory, for easy backup.

Well don't I feel absolutely noobish. I completely missed those tabs at the bottom. Thanks for the hints.
I did notice an error though. The cap requirement for a Large Energy Transfer Array II is still at the old value of 439/activation. The LETA II now only uses 366/activation.

I've found another minor error. Obviously you are calculating drone stats from the player that is active on the setup. You are doing it for electronic warfare drones too. Now i realized that at least some of them are calculated wrong.
When i click show info in the fitting panel i can see the base value. For example the speed modifier for a web drone. It shows 0.7 which is correct. Now if i put it in the drone bay of a non-dedicated ship (no drone bonus) this value changes to 0.77 with all skills lvl5 which is not correct. I don't know if drone interfacing actually works for EW drones, but if it does this should be something like 0.49 or even 0.4.
But then again this sounds really bad ass because this would mean 5 web drones could web down a target by over 97%. 
I suggest you grab one of your testers and have them find that out.

Excelent tool!! I love it and will use it whatever, in the interests of improving it further a few things (some the same as others' ideas, some I haven't seen suggested )
Updates: An auto-update, or a "check for update" would be nice. (I don't like missing out for a moment if a new version is around - each version update has been cool) Auto-update of character skills too please.
Modules: I agree favourites would be nice. I like the fact that I can turn off all the uber-expensive gear mostly - but sometimes I want to see everything - an extra ALL tab at the bottom maybe? Slots please - maybe I'm crap but at please list it in atributes and give us a filter - I end up using evemon to find things to go in certain slots. I think I agree searches should search the entire database. In the module list I'd love to see relevent stats listed as well as the CPU and PG [like default armour repaired and cycle time for armour reppers etc...]
Ships: Please give me a hanger where only ship types I have set-up are listed. Personally I'd list the ship typs in alphabetical order instead of a quasi-size-based list.
Implants: Dunno if you can do a "load current implants"?
Damage and stuff: Max Range column would be nice. Damage profiles - I only just found these {right click the Defence box} (VERY NICE!! ) maybe load some defaults for factions though so that if CCP update them they change? Ammo Types - "change all ammo" option?
Small beans: Auto adjust column widths for PowerGrid/CPU etc so we can see the numbers (Or remeber where I set them so I don't have to adjust every time I restart)
In my [wet] dreams : Do all the calculations "on-the fly" as I hover over a module for a few seconds - like in eve itself when fitting a ship, make calculated numbers a different colour.
Niggles: I don't want to put them in, but if no-one says anything.... I know the calculations on the cycle times of ice harvester II are wrong (it's different IG) - and they mine ice not ore - so the yeild thingy might measure ice mined/minute. I'd like to see the slot type displayed permenantly on the edge of the setup window. An "Undo" feature - maybe I should think more before I click 
I think that's it from me - I have always said this tool is nicer to use than anything else and it takes a leap forward with each release - you're doing a grand job!!

Each time I download v 2.3 from the first post in this thread, it comes up with many damaged files and WinZip can't open it properly. Is there any other place to download this from it or can you check the integrity of this file?

I just noticed a bug
When the attributes for Ballistic Controls are applied the Damage bonus is applied but the rate of fire bonus is not. This results in an incorrect DPS calculation.

Must be something wrong with either my WinZip or something on my home PC. I d/l the .zip to my work laptop and all is fine. I just copied the extracted structure to my thumb drive and then dropped it onto my home PC.
I have used nothing but QuickFit for the last 2 years so this will take a bit of getting used to. I do like it lots so far though

Don't know if this bug was already mentioned:
Cloak reactivation delay hidden bonus on force recons (i.e. falcon) does not exist in EFT.
I have 5 sec cloak reactivation ingame while EFT shows 30 second in module info on a fitted cloak.
