You had probably selected Faction, Complex or Officer mods before; EFT doesn't switch those categories even if the newly selected group is empty. Click on "Market" in the lower left corner, and you should see the Drone Upgrades.

I may also be missing things, but it seems like it'd be a grand feature to be able to use logistics/ewar drones and see the results in the tank/% chance jammed/effective speed/sig radius/etc.
Presumably just dragging the drones from the "offending" ship's drone bay onto the target ship's projected effects...

Ah thank you soo much, this was exactly the solution. I went to the search box and typed in the module and had to click the market button at the bottom

It tells you about tank'n'gank. It tells you about how your ewar is going to affect someone, and how your gang leader's bonuses are going to affect you. All before you get in space.
It lets you see if that new fancy faction web's going to fit, what your effective range would be with your commander's skills in a claymore. With and without mindlink.
It lets you see pretty much how any particular aspect of your ship will perform. It's pretty accurate too, tbh. Its DPS calculation is just about right, though, as with any DPS calculator, it'll be wrong situationally. More a measure of your potential rather than performance.
At any rate, this application (and others like it) saved me lots and lots of ISK.

There's a "duplicate" function... would that help?
Paste function would be very useful, e.g. for posting fit on forums one could get it pasted from site rather than manually insert each module.
Also copy to clipboard could copy ship stats (dps, resistances, etc...)

I'd take those... right after we get logistics/ewar drones draggable to the projected effects window.
Overall though, I rate them as excellent suggestions.

I like the program. It is pretty slick.
There are a few things I liked about QuickFit , however, that I wish you could incorporate into this:
1) Tabbed organization - characters on a tab, ships on a tab, equipment on a tab, ... 2) The equipment search 3) Equipment display - QuickFit wasn't perfect, but I liked that the slots had separators and were color coded. 4) All equipment displayed in lists were color coded, by slot (low, mid, high) for easy reference. This was great if you were scanning a list for that one item in a specific slot - like interdictor launchers.
Also - does your program has a way to export fittings to a text or html file? That would also be great.

First of all, thanks for a graet tool.
on a side note, I found that the Chimera in EFT shows only 350 calibration points, when in EVE it showed 400

But I duplicate fitting ONLY for comparison. Guess someone may do that for another goal, but can I have it incorporated so I'll be able to compare setups without browsing whole ship tree again? 3. There's intended option to browse list of loadouts hidden under "Shiptype (some loadouts)". Can we have a "+" from shiptype lists all created fits? 4. May I have description for data files used in EFT? I have some suggestions to changes in game mechanics and want to test 'em before releasing on forums. (Have heard that You're writing it in Delphi so data structures will be enough, thanks). 5. Can't change required skills if they are not affecting any module fitted on ship. Do I miss something, or it's pretend to be wish? 6. I understand that You're do not want to have people exchanging their loadouts created by EFT, but I hope You may change Your decision. Even 7. Ship types tree lack of search ability. There's plently of free space at bottom-left of that window, I think it will not be that hard to add one additional field.
Thanks. -- Thanks CCP for cu<end of sig> |

Couple of minor things...
On the Open Market Group option....could you make it so it doesn't collapse all the other module trees? It makes going back and forth between module sections painful.
Also, An undo feature would be great. Use case: Just used 'Open Market Group' Remove the last of a different type of module then 'Open Market Group' Was used on Tedious scrolling and clicking ensues to re-add the accidentally removed module
Also, could you please autosize column widths....everywhere?
Ctrl+numpad_plus_key will do it, but it would be better if I never had to.
Windows explorer exhibits the same behavior. It's like it's telling me, "here are 7 columns all too narrow to read any text at all in, isn't that helpful?" No, windows, it isn't, especially when there's no good reason you couldn't resize them for me automatically. ----------- Support fixing the EVE UI Drones should not aggro anything missiles or turrets do not. |

Tabbed organization sucked. You're crazy.
The only things I miss from quickfit were the "last-slot" search and the Stats calculation.
"last-slot" would show you modules that would fit in your remaining slots (sadly it didn't hide turrets if you had available high slots, but no turret hardpoints).
Stas would take into account target resistances, speed, transversal, sig radius, etc.
Made for really good estimation of actual in-game damage instead of just raw. ----------- Support fixing the EVE UI Drones should not aggro anything missiles or turrets do not. |

I miss the combat analyzer and the POS fitting you could do on quickfit.
Any chance these can be added to this tool? -

Overall a very good tool, but it would benefit hugely from some UI lovin' like...
1) If Modules are listed in the order they appear on the market on, so should Ships. We are in the mindset of EvE when using this tool so what we encounter in the game should be carried over. The less thinking the user has to do the better. 2) Add things like "Offline Module," "Online Module," "Activate Module," and "Deactivate Module," to the right-click context menus. Tool tips are nice, but these user actions should be more apparent. 3) Why does double-clicking remove fitted Modules? Shouldn't it activate/deactivate them? Again, in-game expectation should be carried over.
Those are just the first three things I noticed that would help make it a little bit better. |
