Defence and effective HP are terms that really need to be explained. Effective HP is your hitpoints with resistances taken into account. Defence is amount of DPS setup can tank. Bottom value is your tanking efficiency when you run your booster\repairer on autorepeat and upper value is your tanking efficiency when you turn on your booster\repairer from time to time to not allow your capacitor to fall below peek recharge point.
What exactly means 'from time to time' - in terms of variation factor compared to defence DPS without any booster/repper used ?

I am just confused by the fact, that on my passive tanked Drakes, the Effective Hitpoints go up, when the defence values are going down and vice versa... Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions of 400x120 pixels -Sahwoolo Etoophie |

I think I just founda bug in EFT:
Omnidirectional tracking links seem to be stacking nerfed (fitting one as 5th range mod only turns 47km optimal into 48km) which they are not in EVE afaik.
There is no 'n' in turret There is no 'r' in faction There is no 'a' in Scorpion There is no 'e' in Caldari There is no makeup in rogue drones |

Start a thread about it and I'll explain it. You're doing it wrong I think (because this doesn't happen to me).

AWESOME tool. I love EFT! use it all the time now.
But, If I had to add new features... I'd like a way to compare setups for the same ship. Now it's hard as I can't open more that one fit per ship at once.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

the maximum DPS tanked by an armour tank will not go above 6560 (havent managed ot make a shield tank get that high but it probably has the same limit) the commandship skill rep bonus is not applied to the eos most co processors have the wrong CPU bonus values
keep up the great work! - TQ has encountered a database issue, we are sitting around wondering why it has crashed this time, waiting for 500,000 petitions and watching the forums fill up. |

It's possible, but a bit un-intuitive - open another window for the same ship through the Ship Browser.

First of all, I like to say this is an awesome tool! so easy to use :)
Now. this has probably been asked before, but is there a way to add faction modules to the tool? (or are they going to be added later on)

Look down left, notice the button with "Faction" on it, click it.

Oh, and by the way, as I haven't seen that mentioned (may well have overlooked it, though) - if anyone wants to view several categories at the same time (like all Market and Faction modules in a group), click those buttons at the lower left with Ctrl held down.

Found a bug with Capital Remote Armor Reps (and probably capital shield transfers & capital energy transfers as well.)
EFT is calculating cap use on these based only on the capital remote armor repair skill, but the base skill (remote armor repair) affects the cap use as well, which is another 25% reduction in cap use.
This makes the base cap use on capital remote armor repairers 1012.5 power instead of the 1350 it's using currently.
Also, my implant, the Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET200 is not affecting it, where it should be. (There is one also specifically for capital repairers, but the 'normal' one affects them as well.)
I know for a fact that it works the same way for capital remote energy transfers, and I imagine it's the same for shield transfer as well, though I'm not certain about hull repair.

Okay, forgive the stupidity, but how do you actually use this thing? I unzipped the files to a folder on the desktop. Right away WinZip complains about having to overwrite a CPU icon, but I let it do so. Then, I try to launch the .exe and get an "invalid filename" error. Hit OK to get out of that and the proggie window opens. Hover over the lefthand window and try to search for a ship, and I get "Access violation at address 004Ag783 in module 'EFT.exe'. Read of address 00000000."
Open ship browser and click on a blank square, and I get "invalid index" again. OK out of that and a setup window opens but throws another access violation.
WTH am I doing wrong?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. It's pretty obvious that something is severley b0rken, though. Have you tried downloading it again - perheps your copy is corrupt.
Also, how long has it been since you got a new zip tool? The format may have changed.

Gripen, you already know EFT totally kicks ass! So... here's some suggestions that I'd like to see implemented if possible
Like QuickFit has, an option to list modules that would fit the last cpu/pg, eg you have a setup with one slot free and very little cpu/pg kinda, what modules would fit in that last slot, rather than having to try module after module to see what might fit.
As many users upload a screenshot of their setup on EVE-Files a function to save only the fitting window to a jpeg or similar would be nice, that way its easier for the users and we don't have to see the whole desktop kinda. Also would be really sweet if one could export the settings to a file. Maybe even building some nice site to upload the setups to so that you can download other peoples setup with a simple click from EFT (I'd be happy to aid you in creating such a site/service whenever possible).
What also would be nice is the way that EFT list ships initially, would be cool to have some filtering options there, eg a way to list ships based on cargo size etc, that would make it much easier to find a ship to set up if you are looking for it to fullfill a special role.
Keep up the great work loving it!

I have the most current .net release installed, and I'm using the current WinZip eval version. I've also re-downloaded the file repeatedly over the last few versions.
I'm just lost. Went back to quickfit for now. |

Reinstalling this might still help; I had a similar issue lately (not with EFT) that was solved after a .NET Framework reinstall.
