Doomsday Proof test in EFT:
right-click on defense, edit damage profiles. Create a profile each for 100% EM, Therm, Kin and Explosive.
Fit your ship. Activate the previously created damage profiles one after the other. If your effective HP drops below 70,500 on any of them, you are not doomsday secure against that damage type.
Next, set the all level 5 profile as your squad commander. Check the figures again. If you are still not doomsday secure against the type(s) you want, you need to improve your tank.

No one has any idea how to convert character files into a valid format for EFT, so that one can get around the "connection failed" message when trying to import from character API?

Been experimenting a bit with getting torps going with decent range, and I was wondering:
There is a noticeable range difference between the EFT numbers and the actual "still hits" range. Is this a misscalculation or is this more lag dependant?
(Its less ingame then in eft)

EFT, and most people, don't take "acceleration" into account (Dev's word, not mine). Many of us just do straight Travel Time * Velocity. But, torps don't have a constant velocity and don't launch at full speed. So, they'll always expire a bit shorter than what we'd expect.

I Love this tool, but my antivirus program detected a virus in the file.
I downloaded it from all three sites, and all had the virus.

There is a bug! :)
The range bonus to Capital Shield Transporters on a Wyvern calculates based on the skill level of "Amarr Carrier", not "Caldari Carrier" as it should.
Nothing special, not big or clever, just 20 fighters and one hell of a tank.... |

I'm also receiving the "Connection Failed". I looked at the proxy settings, but I'm straight off a router so I don't understand why I should have to set any proxy. Anyone have any ideas?

I just love EFT, saves a lot of headaches. Here's a couple of ideas for it:
1. Don't attach implant sets to a character, have them definable in a separate window and then add an "Implants" drop-down next to the "Current Setup" and "Character" drop-downs in the ship setup window. This way you can quickly see how different sets of implants and hardwires effect your ship's stats without having to create separate characters for each set.
2. In the "DPS Graph" window, show how much damage each salvo (i.e. the alpha strike) will do to the target with damage types of the attacker and resistance types on the target. Perhaps easiest to display as the percentage of effective hit points taken. This is handy for sniper setups, you can see what kind of ships with what kind of setups can be instapopped. Show also time until ship is destroyed, given full dps, zero if popped on alphastrike.
Also, the skill requirement for "ECCM - Magnetometric II" is incorrect, in EFT it's Electronic Warfare 1 whereas ingame it's level 4.

I put in my API key and user number, click import... and nothing happens. It does not say Connection failed. I clicked on the proxy tick box and tried it, THEn it said connection failed. So it is getting through, it let'e me choose my character, but does not import any information. All my skills are still "0". Am I doing something wrong? it seems to be working, just not importing anything at all.

Nearly every non-T1/T2 items in Shield passive resistance amplifier must be corrected, their values are not good.
Dread Guristas & Caldari Navy Explosion Dampening Amplifier :
- 39.4% more resist ingame, 37.5% in EFT
- 28 CPU required ingame, 19 in EFT
Domination Magnetic Scattering Amplifier :
- 35% ingame, 32.5% in EFT
- 17 CPU required ingame, 15 in EFT
Gistum A-Type Kinetic Deflection Amplifier :
- 43.2% ingame, 42.1% in EFT
- 29 CPU required ingame, 23 in EFT
Estamel's Modified Heat Dissipation Amplifier :
- 46% ingame, 43.6% in EFT
- 38 CPU required ingame, 29 in EFT
Etc... Too lazy to do the full list, 4 resists and 10 items minimum each ^^
ALSO
Since this new version, I am unable to have the habitual informations when I move the mouse on the shield/armor/structure icon. Is this normal ?

Noticed a small miss, not sure if it has been said before...
Smartbombs, t2 version. Ingame they have 6 km range, in EFT only 5 km, also they have 1100PG req, not 1000. Might be more diffrences that i missed on them.
Other then that, thx for a great program. It realy changes the way you fit and play.

there is a problem with the nighthawk
when i increase the command ships skill it increases my DPS even if i am using heavy assault missiles
even tough the nighthawk doesnt give bonus to HAMS in its command ships skill

Lower left of window, next to where it says "market" - should be faction, complex, and commander tabs.
Click on those, if you ctrl-click on them it should add them to the same display list instead of switching to a new one.

I dont think EFT is applying the destroyer 50% range bonus on small hybrid turrets correctly. At least the ships I've tried fitting seem to have half the optimal that they show in game using the tactical overlay.
