OK, when I go to the webpage for v2.6 (the one listed on the first thread in this topic), it directs me to one of these sites with all sorts of pop-up, ads and what-not. When I allowed the pop-ups so I could download the file, my AVG anti-virus advised that two virus were trying to install themselves on my computer . Now, I understand the need to get some revenue for this great tool but how about moving it from this "****-like" site and getting donations from the community? I for one would be pleased to donate to avoid these types of sites. Thank you for the great tool but a flame for putting it on such a questionable site.

That site you're referring to is just a free file-sharing service - the ad revenue presumably goes towards operational expenses (e.g., bandwidth), and is not distributed to users* of the free service in any way, shape, or form. FYI, I figured that out after spending about 10 seconds reading their FAQ. As for the "infected" pop-up ads - for one thing, I'm able to download the file without disabling my pop-up blocker (using Firefox), so I'm not sure why you felt it was necessary to do so (IE?). Additionally, that "virus" you're referring to is probably nothing more than a tracking cookie, or some other non-malicious and/or non-destructive form of spyware. Not all AVG warnings are indicative of a virus. Finally, do you understand what "mirror" means in a file-sharing context? A "mirror" is just another place to download the same file. If you look back to the original post, there are two "mirrors" listed for EFT 2.6. So you actually have two additional sites to choose from, for a grand total of three.
Na Dine	Posted - 2008.07.15 18:00:00 - [2103] Fitting Warp Disruptor on Crow shows 1 cap usage per second while it probably should be 0.2 due to crow bonus to prop jammin modules. Cant verify it ciz i'm still training to this setup. If anyone will be able to confirm it i'll be most grateful.

Question about speed on the 2.6, did a change happen to eve after the last update for this program related to speed? For instance I have created an interceptor, using the API, Implants, all an exact match in game, speed reading in EFT 2.6 is: 927 mobility // 11.2k with MWD // 16.4 MWD overheated compared to actual in-game stats of... 858 mobility // 10.4k with MWD // 15.4 MWD overheated Please note this is a small amount but the price for speed in eve is high. I am not using leadership skills on either side in-game or in EFT 2.6. Finally I also noted that even though the character has good leaderships skills I only get the bonuses when I use the All Level 5 character in any of the options.

Well yes, I been a user of the internet since DARPA :) I did eventually choose a mirror and was able to download without any AVG warnings at all. I need to pay more attention when I'm downloading things.

Or, the ability just to see what would fit in any given slot if there were no restrictions because we all like to dream Great tool by the way, has saved me much time and ISK.
