couple of questions/suggestions/problems
- what's with the order of ships? i don't get the order? - how can i reset my altered skills? - is there a way to quickly see which skills i am missing for a certain setup?
anyway, kudos for the tool. bit strange to get used to it, but once you get to know the 'features' it's a good tool.

Just hover the cursor over the red rectangle ( which turns green if you have all the skills ) and a pop-up window will ... *pop* listing you the skills you need

I'm having this same problem as well, only not 100% of the time (but often enough to make me cry:P)
I tried narrowing it down: at first I thought it was because I might not have the skills required to fly a specific skill type, but that was quickly tossed out the door.
I am able to import ships up to cruiser; also some Assault Frigs; battleships & battlecruisers are out.

I love this tool. Only three enhancements I'd really like. One is to be able to just do a search by ship (instead of having to always select it from the list). Second is to have a favourites where all the ship types you have set ups on could be listed in a quickbar for faster selection. The third is for the tool to recognise some of the well known abbreviations for a module in the search (EANM, MWD, ML). Sometimes I forget exactly how a module is called which means I have to select from the module list (not a big deal I admit).
Excellent tool though!

I got through about 15 pages of this forum and am learning how wonderful eft is but - I can't save my characters xml file in a way that the program can use. Please someone tell me how i save the xml file as though i am a five year old.

EFT cannot use an XML file. You will have to import your character through the character API provided by CCP. You can get your API key here.

for some reason, a stiletto with a cap battery 2 seems to be shown as having way less grid than it should do. dunno which is wrong. might just be my wonky version though since i've had a whole bunch of random data files in there at various points. Signature removed. Too large and flashing signatures are not really permitted. Navigator |

i imported my api key... user ID, it accepts it i click this character but it doesnt add this char to the drop down list of other characters i have already imported. tried restarting client, no go.

I have a couple of odd bugs with EFT, thought I'd better let people know, see if they have the same problems and/or fixes for them.
Firstly, the icons just don't display correctly on my system. The parts that should be transparent are instead black. I realise this is mostly cosmetic, so it's not a real biggie, but it is somewhat annoying.
Secondly, and this one is a real problem, is the API import function is not importing character details correctly. By this, I don't mean that it cannot import - but that it imports the data incorrectly. As an example, one character has Scout Drone Operation to Level 3, but EFT constantly sets it to Level 0 upon import. Not all skills are imported incorrectly, so I have to go through and manually double-check all of the skills to make sure they are correct. This somewhat invalidates the point of skill importing... 
For the record, I'm running EFT on a somewhat old notebook running Win2K - which may be the cause of the icon glitch. But EVEmon seems to have no problems with character imports, so that leads me to believe the problem is in EFT itself.

Already done - visit BattleClinic.com. The killboards show the fittings. You can also import loadouts from BC into EFT to see how they work for you.

Potentially suggested already but: Ability to load scripts into the Projected Effects would be winrar. No one uses un-scripted sensor damps, so it'd be nice to get the actual numbers of what the damps are doing with scripts.

Scripts are already taken into account when you drag a scripted module from another ship into the projected effects.
d3vo: Gripen is usually pretty quick with updates whenever the game changes, taking only a few short days.

Hi all,
Maybe I'm stupid but can anyone tell me how to setup my implants. In the character editor I only see "alpha" implants on slot 1, beta implants for slot 2 and so on. But my EVE Character has an "Ocular Filter Basic" on slot 1 and a "Memory Augmentation Basic" for slot 2, how do this values match the values in EFT???
I'm really confused, and help on this would be apprectiated.

Those implants aren't in EFT because they have no consequence on ship performance.

Can't really bother reading the 45 pages, just dropping 1 note and a feature request.
1 - Very, VERY nice work... using it intensivly. (Also did a eft price check giving you an approximative price of your ship/fit here)
2 - Sorry if already requested but it would be nice to have something creating an Evemon skill plan for a ship/fit for wich you are missing skills. Like setting up the Evemon folder, right-click on the little red rectangle and have a "Create Evemon plan".

You appear to be comparing actual raw armor in Eve against 'effective' armour in EFT, effective armour is how much raw damage you can take allowing for resists.
If you want to see raw armour values, just hover the cursor over the armour icon.

no, i am comparing right values. EFT armor HP is 30k, while EVE's armor HP is somewhere around 27k..

great tool but an extra that could be included next patch if its possible, tell you how far your ship can warp. not really important for big ships but for frigs, cov-ops it would be nice to know eg how much cap is needed for 1au warp and then max warp possible with most cap available

EFT needs a fix on thermal and em armor/shield bonus on the min assault ships. Dunno if it does it for other assaults, cause I'm lazy, but each skill in assault ship is supposed to add another 15% or so to em and thermal res.'s

Bug or maybe I just don't understand... I'm trying to add a "projected bonus" to my ship. I've dragged a Gallente Navy Tracking Link into the window, and sure enough, my optimal range goes up. I can't set the script for it however. In the main window, I would normally right click to do it. How do I do it down below?
