I've had other ships but I honestly can't remember their names...
My current ship, a Celestis, is named the Jezzabelle III.
Her predecessors were lost tragically in combat. This one will be the last Jezzabelle... but she is holding up quite well.
In an RP sense: Jezzabelle was my character's love within House Dagor before he was exiled. She was the only one who believed he was innocent. He is now forbidden to see her due to his exile. But in honor of her, Enoch has named his most glorious ships after her.

I recycle names, tbh. I've lost too many ships to come up with new names. Usually, though, if I lose for example a Blackbird (Peace of Winter), I name my replacement Blackbird the same.
I adhere to the old seamanship standards: never take a new ship out of dock without naming her. Bad luck, it is.

Crusader is my "get places fast" ship - hence (Speedy) Gonzalez.
And so you don't HAVE to ask, my first Raven was lost to a combination of two Supreme Drone Parasites and my own stupid, stubborn refusal to warp out and come back later.
As you may have noticed, I can't really call ANY of my ships Grey Area. I will pretend that those who have are honouring me, rather than the great author Ian M. Banks. You may bask in my reflected glory :-).

This is always fun, and since its been resurrected and not locked. . .
For a while all my amarr ships were types of speech, Quip, Comment, things like that. Then I switched my Geddon over to FateAmenableToChange. Most the culture names are neat as ship names, the gravitas ones in particular. Some of the Affront names look good too like: Kiss the Blade (Battle Cruiser), Frightspear, Furious Purpose, Riptalon.
If im feeling snippy Ill change my ships name multiple times during engagements to various things including ship names from other people in the system or 0000000000000 and 00000000000. Cargo Container is also good, but seeing as I dont know if its an exploit or not, I tend not to pick the cute names (ie Svengali's Executioner in a crusader).
If I was making a new combat char I think I would call him Secondary. Should make calling me as primary interesting.

Ship naming is an art form all it own. I prefer to name every ship uniquely and build a mental history of my exereinces in them; granted some expereinces are fleeting moments, yet I have some ships that have with stood many triels and tribulations (the oldest being 9 months). Some of the most memoriable ships and thier names are:

Orginally this was my first Kestrel name, and has been the name of my first aquired offensive role ship.

My first Battleship, given by a poor soul who could no longer care for her deep in open space.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I see a lot of Agamemnon's, which ship do you think looks most like the Earthforce ships in Eve? I think probably the Thrasher and Cyclone. Having said that, I also think the Mammoth would look cool as a battleship so clearly I'm insane.
