Or you can buy an industrial ship, get a loan from a friend and do trade-good runs. Play with the market ; NPC stations offer some nice deals, buy cheap, sell for more in another place

The tempest is fun It can 1-volley stuff with artillery, fit some missiles, autocannons are cool for close-range action + u can play with shields and armor tanking and a bit of EW too. Not the best DPS-wise especially with low skills though
