Nothing fancy, just kill the webbers at max range, then orbit at 10km and melt.
I bow to you......I have much to learn Mistress....I loved the mission but lost my Crow. I survived the first webbing and got a bit*****y I Guess ....My wits failed me. But it will be done ....If a Kessy can ...I WILL :)......Great Mission anyways a nice challenege.

Edited by: Levka on 03/09/2004 00:10:28 Well after i lost my Caracal eralier today i decided to get another one and try this missions yet again, but this time with different setup. All i really had to change is add a 10mn MWD and WCS.
Overall, mission is not hard as long as you got MWD on...Scourge will take care of the rest..
However i was dissapointed with the loot i got......not 1 named item. All i got is some ammo and cpacitor boosters.

Edited by: Jerrod Syn on 03/09/2004 01:22:01 I got a Mordus mission last night from my L2 Int Sec agent. I've been easily taking out the L2 kill missions without breaking a sweat in my Moa.
Normally my shields don't even get touched, since the way I'm outfitted, I can lock and beat them from 60+K out, with 2 heavy launchers IN CASE they get close. By the time the third wave came in, They WERE close!
The last spawn came in under 10K and closed fast from there! With Caldari Cruiser 4, my shield booster kept me above water, but even setting that to auto, I barely killed the last one before I ran out of cap.
Whew! I wasn't expecting THAT! Great work!

Got my first Mordus mission yesterday.
The only thing I can say about the mission was that I enjoyed it a lot. I think it was one of the only missions that I find to be a real challenge and right before the fireworks stopped ended up getting a 650k Commander which I turned into space dust fast enough with my Dominix.
Was not the greatest in l00t but had fun and made some cash while at it so no complaints. The only thing now is I wish I could get my hands on some Mordus Faction ships cause they are uber cool!
All in all good job CCP and better luck next time for you guys who are not able to deal with this mission. Remember never to bite off more then you can swollow and also unless you can afford to loose a BS don't fly one.
By the way is there no Mordus faction l00t that drops from these ships? I would really like to get my hands on some of there gear.

Just a small word of advice for people reading your setup - this is not the optimal setup :) On your ship it doesnt really matter since you had plenty of repairing power - but on cruisers and more tip-toed tankers you'll see that the maximum benefit is not in fitting two thermal hardeners.
Why you ask? Well, they shoot Scourge and bloodclaw missiles (kinetic), and they do thermal/kinetic damage with about 10-15% more kinetic damage done then thermal by their railguns. Also most ships natural resistance for thermal is higher then it is for kinetic - but this differs per shiptype.
So all in all, the kinetic dmg resistance should be boosted higher then the thermal - because thats where you'll be getting the most damage. On your setup obviously not so relevant :-)
I thought of dropping the thermal for another cap relay, but I wanted to be on the safe side the first time. I didn't read to closely which ship that launched what, so I just figured that another thermal would prolly cut off another 20% of effective damage, if the damage was 50/50 kinetic-thermal. If I'm carrying two of a kind now, I guess I'll go for 2x kinetic instead. But I think the second one will be replaced by another cap relay for optimal repairing power.
And the Mega (and the rest of the t1 gallente ships?) has 35% kinetic and thermal resistance to armor.
Thanks for the tip though!

Way to go. Just a wee bit too flimsy for my tastes and it sounds like an awful lot of clicking, given EVE's clumsy in-space navigation model.
I'm assuming you beat the incoming heavy missile spam with sheer speed because the Kestrel doesn't allow you to use drones as bait? Would love to see a demonstration...

Originally by: Oveur This excellent mission will remain as it is, it will however have a more prominent warning that it is actually hard. Probably in big red letters for those that dont bother to read the mission descriptions
If you feel you have been treated unfairly with insufficient mission description and consider this far to and it cramps your style, feel free to contact customer support. They will investigate the matter and see if your claims is valid
You will see more challenging (read: Hard) missions that are not a walk in the park. They of course give bigger reward instead.
Agent missions aren't supposed to be all predictable and harmless. I think we all agree about that. Even the people that loose the ships thought it was fun, apart from loosing the ship of course.
Oh, and if you think these missions are hard, just wait till you get to lvl 4
3 cheers for Oveur!
This mission brought back the feeling of "oooh-oh" that I had when we were sitting in rifters, fighting endless belt spawns of nomads and raiders who chased us and forced us to develop tactics. Looking forward to level 4 missions.
To those who have trouble with this type of mission: Team up!

Just did this mission for the first time .
I fly a blastathron(using medium modal neutrons) and decided to tank a bit more than usual after seeing the pagecount here, as gallente 2 thermic and 2 kinetic hardeners were a charm. Jumped in at 15, was a piece of cake (preparation always pays off), 8 minutes later all were dead.
If ppl really have probs in battleships, tank mordu specific, but most importantly equip a heavy nosferatu for your endurance.
Edit: Forgot to say, i love the mission, and being sorrounded by the first cloud was a nice adrenile injection. The only pain was the loot collection, the last moa and bb decided to get some distance, hurrying away in different directions.
Another Edit: Just refined the loot, in addition to the bounties and reward i now have minerals worth 2,1 million isk.

I did this mission last night, and thouroughly enjoyed it. I used an Armageddon, and the only tanking I used was a Large Armor Repairer. The little buggers got me down to structure, and I had to warp out a couple of times, but killed them all in the end.
My only concern is that it takes a long time to complete this mission, and the bonus only last for forty-five minutes - which a lot of people will really struggle with.
The really scary part of it was when someone else turned up at the mission site for their own mission...

I also lost a Bs to this mission first time I did it .
The bigest problem is that this miision was in a astroid belt, and the warp scrambliong cruiser came into 7.5km range, so my Mega pulses could not hit it, or my heavy pulse. And while figting 17 ships, a spawn of Roid pirates jump in on me and kill my drones (thanks roid pirates).
I peronally feel it like playing monoply with a lot of House rules getting changed all the time :-(.

Add 2 Thorax and 1 Cara to the list although I hate to admit it lol I wont be trying any more. Its not that I cant afford to cover my losses I could go on for ages but I cant be bothered tbh I'm sick to death of **** like this in EVE.
In my opinioin its far too hard for a level 3 and after reading the posts here im not alone, I enjoy a challenge and I usually find a way to adapt but this is too dam nasty and for someone "trying" to have fun in EVE thats not a good thing.
Very bad show CCP Im really disappointed in you.
All the above are my opinions as a paying customer and Directed at CCP not the community, I really dont give a flying **** what you may think of my opinions, I am entitled to express them and care little on your views on my opinion.
