Just did the mordu mission without the 650k guy in an armoured blasterax. 5 light neutrons and 1600mm armour plate. Hard work (had to warp out 4 times in all) but once the first wave is done the rest aint to bad. The last wave is the easiest!
Dindnt bother with the drones either, cause i knew id prolly have to warp out and therefore lose em.
Anyway, nivce mission ccp, shame about the crappy loot :( _______________________________

Well I have had that mission several times last ship to kill the 650k moa . imo that mission is weak ive done it in a thorax several times and in a bs a few times. I think some people need to look at ship equipment and learn how to set a ship up. Anyone ever used a Warpcore stabalizer...?? or how bout close range weapons...??..only problem I see is tomany people rushing into Battleships without the proper skills. thats my just my 2 cents...and if people are complaining about L3 agents the forums are really gonna be filled with complaints when L4s come out because people will try and solo a mission get spanked lose their ship then cry because they made a big mistake..Feel the water befor you jump in it might be to hot and you will get burned...!!! Use Caution did people not Notice the red print in the mission description..?

aye, I agree on with Strick 9. I use an armortanked raven with 2large nos and 6x heavy missile launchers and I can handle those missions just fine. I mean...heavy missiles...come one, that mission is so easy.
But I do jump in on 60km and try to take em down 1 by 1, not all at the same time.

I haven't done missions in a while and been playing with setups on my Crow. Was bored so decided to take a mission and got this one, first mission in a long time.....
Fortunately it had in big red writing about some ships warp and web. So went it at 60Km to evaluate what was there...
Next thing i know one of them is coming at me real fast, so go the other way and keep 25km whilst spamming Kinetics, he didn't last long.
Then did the same for the 5 other frigs, they didn't last long.. Then took on the Cruisers 1 at a time orbitting at high speed and webbing, takes a while, but when you're not being hit.. who cares?
To make the mission even better got some real good named small launchers and 'scout' small rails etc..
The funny thing is, If I'd have turned up in my BS unprepared I prob would have been webbed and warped and fryed in seconds. You gotta love interceptors :-)

I did this mission yesterday, i was quite surprised at its difficulty but my megathron handled it quite easily, i got down to 50% sheild and didnt have to warp out.
I had a bit of a muck about setup on which might explain it:
6 x 425mm Rails with antimatter ammo :) 2 x Advanced limos Heavies
1 x MWD :S 1 x Cap recharger 2 2 x Tracking Computer I
2 x Tracking Enhancer II 1 x Magnetic Feild Stab II 1 x Medium Armor repair :S 2 x PDU II 1 x Photonic CPU Enhancer I
I didnt even have enough cap to run the repairer :D
I wasnt really expecting the missions to even be slightly hard. :) (The rest werent)
Just kill the ship that comes at u fastest, thats the 1 that will web u, kill it and your free to warp in and out. (I used my MWD to get out of range most of the time though and drones helped).

I got this mission 2 times today for the first time, tried it in a Duramaller and failed and had to warp out and get help.
Setup was: Highs. 5 named medium beams Medium Nos
Meds. 100mn ab 2 medium cap batterys
Lows. 2 small t2 armor reps 1 thermal and 1 kinectic energized membranes 2 cap relays
If I swapped the membranes out for activated hardeners I might be able to handle it. It was just the first wave I struggled with, to many ships to tank ----------

Just did it for the first time in my brand new crow. Wasn't hit the whole mission. It was very fun though, and I was sweating a few times (especially jumping in).
Setup:
Highs: 3x Arbalast Standard (bloodclaw)
Mid: Y8-S 10mn AB Small Shield Booster (converse or something, whatever I had laying around) Cap Recharger I
Low: Micro Aux Power Core Ballistic Control Cap Relay I
Warped in at 60km like I always do, started 15km orbit on the frigates and turned on ab. I actually killed all the katanas before I killed the bountyhunters.
So it was just let the launchers launch a few salvos, switch to next target, set orbit, turn on launchers. Rinse, and repeat.
Very fun, at the end of it I had maybe 10 missiles in each launcher, and 9 in my cargo hold. Started with 400 some at the begining of the 25 minute fight.
Decent loot. An XR-2000, and some named assult launchers. No implant, but any mission you can walk away from with ~3m in profit is nice in my book.
Some of you guys complain too much about loot for a few minutes effort.
Very fun mission. Even though I wasn't hit, I was sure I was going to lose a crow going into it. And if I get the mission again, I'll be just as scared. Thats alot of frigs to jump into, especially ones that can web and scram you.

Please feel free to check my character in game (even tho i'm a n00b i think it shows character creation date). I have a caracal and 22 million spare atm (even after helping some of my clan mates with millions when they started too). Yes a mate helped me by giving me a million when i first started and bought me a good skill pack, but no - i haven't bought this account, nor played the game before! I just play a LOT and in all games have always been a grinder. Sad to see ppl calling me a liar! Not everyone who plays this spends their time sitting around asteroids with their thumb up their ass! ;) And i work full time!
For info, i've had that mordus mission about 5 times now and i can't believe ppl have been whinging here, is this the forum for people who aren't very good at games? Would seem so with the mordus whinging, and people finding it hard to believe someone can get lvl 3 missions/caracal in around a week ...
oh, and here's my caracal setup for whomever asked above (attainable in around a week):
high 4x malkuth heavy launcher 1x limos heavy launcher
med 1x 10mn MWD 1x named 32.5% kinetic hardener (probly not the best for mordus, but hell im a noob!) 1x named shield extender (something barrier, gives +440 shield) 1x medium shield booster
low 1x photonic CPU 1x overdrive
edit: ok perhaps i was nearer 10 days when i first did the mordus mission (checking back to the date my first post on my clan forum with regards to starting playing eve). i've now been playing 14 days ..
Im sorry but thats complete lies and your very immature for lieing about it. Unless u got 5 +3 implants theres no way in hell you trained frigate 4 navigation 4 missile op 3, afterburner 4, high speed meneauvering 1 and whatever cruiser skill not to mention hull upgrades and eletronics, sheild skills just to be able to use the things u put in your setup.
On top of that you need to get the caracal within a week then somehow get up to level 3 in the remaining time.
All that above with the minimum attributes is guna take way over 1 week. U also have connections which needs social level 3 bla bla bla. Either your drastically exagerating the time frame or your not doing missions at all and just completely lieing. You may play ALOT but that does not speed up your skill training.
Now if you somehow managed to turn that 1 million your mate gave u into 70-80 mil and bought 5 +3 implants i apologize completely.

This mission is very easy in a battleship. You only need 3 midslots too, so an Armageddon works well. I use this setup... 5 heavy modulated pulse lasers 2 medium modulated pulse lasers 1 large smartbomb 1 kinetic shield hardner 1 thermal shield hardner 1 med c5-l shield booster 1 med armour rep. 1 heatsink II 3 cap power relays 1 kinetic energized armour 1 thermal energized armour 1 nanofiber (for speedy loot recovery) With this setup, warp to 40km and target the Mordus Bounty Hunter first. Use the 2 medium pulse lasers on him. As the others close in take out the cruisers first and then the normal frigates. Leave one Mordus Katana alive while you rebuild your shield and cap. With the two shield hardners, he wont be doing much damage at all! When ready, kill him off and then chase after the 2 Mordus Pumas that spawn, whilst using the 2 med pulse on the other cruiser that is with them. They dont last long against 5 heavy pulse! Finally, you have a Lion and a Leopard to deal with. Again, the 5 heavy pulse make short work of these. I personally cant wait for more content like this. As with all AI it is just a matter of working it out and fitting your ship correctly. Hope this helps

i've done this mission many times in my crow ... the harder was to kill the 30k merlin (assault frig) but the remaining was easy.
Stop crying about a lost ship, buy another one and try to be a better fighter next time , your moma will not be there to give you your toy again ... Ci Vis Pacem Para Bellum |

I don't get what all the fuss is about on this mission i do it mostly in a caracal warp in at 60 and make sure i'm allways 40km away when i kill the last one so that it doesent spawn rigth on top of me just align to get out go full speed away from them and hurl missiles if they get to close hit your mwd to keap the range you won't even get scrached.

Hi
As was widely advertised, hit the frigs first, they carry EW kit. Raven's work well in this mission, the sheer volume of torps and cruises I pump out obliterate this lot. Use cruises and drones to kill any frigs quick, then enjoy the battle at a more leisurely pace with the big guys. My only complaint is there is often not enough time to pickup the loot and still make the bonus time.

guys, did you see that Bounty Hunter (intercepter) pulls back if he gets too far away? So it is fairly easy to keep away from him if your ship can pull just under 1k/s speed. Slower he will probably gain on you to quick, but if you can go this fast, after chasing you, he will turn back and then you can slow down, recharge capacitor all the while shooting at him (long range setups only). Just do not let him get away too fast, sometimes I actualy need to turn MWD to catch him again not to let him to regenerate.
