I've already got a 3D avatar created with incursion, but I had to move my desktop downstairs and plug it into net for 2 hrs while I did so (my laptop was unable to handle carbon character creation) now, it's currently stored at my parents, am I going to have to create a new toon (which my lappy won't be able to manage) or can I use the 'old' one from incursion (which I like anyway)?

Just two questions though; Why are ATI cards not getting ambient occlusion and what is ILR?

Because CCP are Pro Nvidia and doing it as a marketing ploy to make eye candy fanatics rush out to buy an Nvidia card.
If thats true that it takes the mick a bit. Are there any blogs about it?
CCCP encouraged to buy a new graphics card from evga (nvidia) and when you login the first time you see " The Way It's Meant to Be Played "

So i will have to disable station environment every time i want to pvp/pve in space and dock/undock fast! That means always going into options and reloading graphics, and replacing the current hangar view with an odd wallpaper!
I guess .... thank you very much ?

How can people not be able to work out time.... CCP gives everything in GMT+0=UTC
If you can't manage to work out the difference between your time and CCP/EVE time then you are not intelligent enough to PLAY eve.
use google, or your built in computer clock.
UTC is not GMT +0 .. i live in a GMT +1 time zone and EVE time is 2hours behind mine
Anyways im looking foreward to this expansion (or the part of the whole expansion they bringing out now). Haven't tried it on the SiSi server so it will all be a new experience for me. Fingers crossed for minimal issues! :)
I wonder how many people should not sleep in school / smoke less weed / read more instead of playing games only / simply get a decent general knowledge and base education.
My dear Haruka, Could it be (and I am just shooting in the dark here, wild guess and all) that it being SUMMER right now, your country has adjusted to DST changes and is using summer time? In that case, wouldn't that make it +1 hour and thus your GMT+0 to GMT+1 time difference would be increased by one hour? 1 hour difference + 1 more hour difference = 2 hours difference
You might have noticed that EvE (as well as some countries) does not adopt summer / winter time changes. UTC is also not something CCP has invented (unless they didn't mean "UTC").
I dislike quoting wikipedia links, but apparently thinking is not a predominant activity here, and whining is so much easier. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coordinated_Universal_Time

Fail?? Really, never had a mac patch fail.... always worked fine, just bigger than windows which is a pita....

Games shouldn't be like this, fighting hardware wars for manufacturers. If this game gets to the point it will be needed to use Nvidia graphic card to get good performance, i'll leave.

Get a ****ing command ship and a real FC and stop ****ing *****ing. We all know 1 t3 boosting waste of an alt will not help you combat the blob - only thing that does is good piloting and finding their mistakes.
Best Combat for blob? 20 man drake fleet with logi, curse, lachesis and claymore support.

There is, but most of the difference is in how they do GPGPU. Just look at what everyone is using to mine bitcoin.
Originally by: Rolix FallenOne Only difference is software
And this is by far the most important difference. ATI were *not* known for their driver quality and only now AMD is trying to recover from it. For at least a decade games have had to include ATI-specific workarounds because some feature would break on their drivers and wouldn't get fixed (alternatively it could also be bad graphics hardware design, which would disprove your previous point).
