By the way, CCP can you just tell us straight up rather than make us figure it out... Will the mac patch fail like all the previous major version patches have?
Fail?? Really, never had a mac patch fail.... always worked fine, just bigger than windows which is a pita....
Wow. consider yourself lucky... lots of people have the same issue.. Everytime they release a major version I have to download the entire client again because the patch destroys my eve installation. strangely minor updates work fine... newish pvp pilot looking for a corp! (9m SP) |

Don't know if someone's mentioned this already, but in the Fixes - Character Creation and New Player Experience section of the Patch Notes, it says
"Completing the first mission of the Minmatar NOE Epic Arc will result in the correct rookie ship being given as the mission reward."
I think it's meant to say NPE instead of NOE? |

Awww... are the 1 inch e-peen piwates gonna cry about not having it easy? Get over it.
Also... Incarna in SiSi is causing my gpu to overheat severely even when just flying around or in warp whereas on TQ before this expansion my gpu was not overheating. I run on lowest graphical settings on both servers but Incarna is causing greater strain even though there is no increase in graphical quality. What the heck is going on? ________________________________________________

I am looking forward to this, I think it will be great.
Despite losing a day of Eve to downtime (and wondering what real life really means) I think the new content will make up for it.
Btw does anyone know what the daily downtime is actually for? I can't see anywhere what it is actually used to do...

would be nice seeing a few missile launchers fly through space with the speed of the exploding ship :) I don't think I have lived when missile launcher graphics were in game btw :)
Have updates stopped being posted on the forums? At least an hourly update would be nice, like we are so damn busy fixing DB issues that we didn't think would happen when we deploy Incarna on TQ, we hope you got a 5 day skill in queue. O_o :)Or something to chew on :) hehe

Is anyone else nervous about all the probes detecting a signature as opposed to a maximum of 4? I certainly hope this does not increase the time it takes to probe down signatures...

If I have been reading this thread correctly, it is a lot of ôcomplain complain complain, T3 boosting alts can no longer use an exploit to make them unable to be found . . . complain complain complain, computers till running on coal/steam have trouble loading the avatar graphics, complain complain complain, nVidia happens to be paying to have their three seconds of load time in the intro rather than ATIö
Personally, I say thumbs up to you CCP for continuing to try and move towards a game that avoids nonsensical exploits and for working to keep you game looking fresh and up to date. I would hate to see EVE go the way of so many other long running MMO, aging poorly because their owning companies are to cheap to go about updating graphics.
The changes to eliminate unscannable ships will not have great impact on the number of people using T3 boosting alts, it just means the players will need to pay slight attention to the alt and keep them moving around in system. In a month or two it such will be the norm. This is no different than ultra deep safe points. A degree of risk is the balance to the benefit of the command link bonuses.
As for graphic cards, the nVidia and ATI do not play well together. There are minor elements to each card that makes them unique. So CCP is programming in favor of one over the other. Guess what, it happens all the time in the gaming industry.

I don't mind the probes; I'm wondering what additional implant requirements will be introduced. I'm halfway through training cybernetics 5 and don't want to find out tomorrow I'll have to do even more training to use those +5s...

You know command links do not work while warping?
I'm not really taking any side on the issue, just pointing out "moving around" and boosting are incompatible :P

Originally by: Joy Mongaguarda People asking CCP to make the game less boring. People complaining about performance issues. People asking CCP to make CQ disable feature because it loads graphics, has no meaning in an MMO -RPG- (that is my favorite). People complaining other problems arent being solved because of the work in CQ.
There is one major solution for all of this: Make CQ unavoidable, and very costy in terms of machine. Doing so, all the previous mentioned people really leave the game, and the people who bought their computer in this decade, and play MMO -RPG- because they like MMO -RPG- will be able to have a better game.
My PC has around 2.5 years in my use, and still run 4 EVE instances at ease, and I havent upgraded this PC EVER. I agree EVE is boring lately, and it is boring because you cant really feel the excitement of being part of EVE universe because it has many "reality checks" to enable old pcs, button smashers and general whiners play it.
About time EVE as a scifi MMORPG, started to gather SciFi fans and not WoW dropouts counting "arena ratings"(killboards) and bragging knowing it all and not knowing why you cant have a draenei warlock.
A hint: EVE has became boring, among other reasons, preciselly because many of its players started ignoring the EVE universe and started making EVE "pew pew in space".
