Well, thanks for astro-physics/geology class.
If you are trying to get a PR job with CCP, you are on a good road. What you choose to ignore is that CCP, in their drive for expansion and more customers is doing is losing a huge lot of old players that simply get worn down by the stuff done. The same players that actively or passively played a part in developing and flourishing of EVE.
Your appreciation of CCP is, even if not stated by us the less intelligent than you the oh magnificent self, shared by almost every member/subscriber in EVE community. The fact that most of us are willing to endure and last hoping and waiting for improvements is a proof of that appreciation and thanks to CCP for making EVE the best MMO around.
But they need to be more active on the real issues.

I think this is an excellent change!
It hurts me pretty bad personally. I have two accounts that can each run 3 of the 4 unprobable T3s. That's a decent amount of training time and a lot of isk sunk into ships and fits that will need big adjustments. This will definitely make it more difficult for us small gang types.
Nevertheless, the change does far more good than bad. Imho, unprobable sniper BS, unprobable mission runners, and even unprobable links are bad for the game. So I welcome this change.
There is, however, one problem I foresee. Links can still be run out of POS. In my experience, the systems where gate camps are most prevalent are systems where the campers have POS. Being able to run T3 links out of POS (and, therefore, out of harms way) is a pretty big advantage.
What I propose is that links are made so that they do not work within POS shields. This will force the campers to run links with the same risks as the gangs that come to fight them.
I fully agree !
I agree with this as well, all ships need to be outside pos shields to be able to use their equipment, guns, drones, repair, so why not links?

OMFG. Every patch CCP puts up i cringe before downloading. Well CCP you have outdone yourself on the Mac Client patch. Basically Mac players cannot fully open the client. This means we can't play. It gets hung up on a EULA window and you cannot get past it to continue loading the client since the window is devoid of text and the "i agree" button. Now what? Just to be even more annoying, the client hangs the machine and i have to hard reset it. Can you just for once, just once, F****** test this crap before you inflict it on customers.

Cmon guys, there was such a pression on station walking, now everybody splits on it. It will be evolved - those are the basis, players must adopt to the new interface - instead of a massive update and a big "how do I do" from the eve population
But still this game needs massive improvements, I always resided in highsec, would like to start 0.0 but there is little to attract me there (not that there are few) but still 0.0 needs somekind of an advert.
Please CCP - it's time to slow down with big changes - It's time to balance the game, and promote versatile gameplays, think about players who invested bilions of isk/milions of sp for skills you nerf or make them useless.
Time to think about generic missions - they haven't changed much from 2004 eh?
Server code optimisations are great BlueNet + CarbonIO - very important for war on lag, but don't forget about the essence of the game, which we players need.
Add more content please, maybe new ways of earning money?
Can't wait till the integration with DUST - its really innovative - want to see it in action... maybe also interact?
Cheers

Regenerate asteroid belts, remove expired containers and database optimizations IIRC
Giving Tivoli a head start on snapshot generation for the daily backup as well. Yes, I know I'm making a huge ass asumption about them using expensive enterprise grade backup software, it's probably some lash up with the words TONKA and Tomytronic written on it.

There is also a reason they recommend not downloading the patch until they release it (as it may change, sometimes requiring a full re-install). Check the patch site, and you will see it's not listed yet.

i have no knowledge on running the client on a mac fyi. CCP may have tested the update patch and inferring that they don't without facts is unfair imo. If it is indeed a "missing font problem" then it is understandable that it may have been missed during testing, maybe players macs are not loaded/updated to spec?
I feel issues for computer games on the pc and mac should be expected and remedied. However I do not understand why players get so angry about it. Pc's and macs are a category of computing device that vary wildly from machine to machine, in hardware, software and driver spec, unlike the xbox, ps3, etc. Compatibility or issues are inherent.
If eve is run through a thirdparty on the Mac, then this is a seperate issue.
I do feel for you, I would be upset as well, but I'm sure it will be addressed asap
It is a bit upsetting that they normally underestimate their completion times and then delay their completion. The PR issue with delays is widely voiced about. I feel it would be easier if they set a completion time that held a contingency within it. So that they meet the completion time, and even if they finish a few hours before, that they stick with the time so that players know that when they set a time that it will be stuck to. I can imagine if they completed early and reopened the servers that players who miss the reopening would complain (in reverse).
Rabble rabble rabble etc moan cry complain and all that

Maybe all those avs that haven't created a new look should have given ccp a clue that it wasn't as important as they thought. I don't particularly look forward to wandering around in the station as it adds absolutely nothing to the game (besides overhead). Maybe they should have added revive tomes and pink dancing shoes so I can avoid or recover from pirates. Better yet they can take all this fluff and put it into their pockets and it will turn into pocket lint making it easier to discard.
