UHHH, If we are going to parley, don't we need both parties? Let's see 1) angry player base = Check 2) CCP? CCP? CCP? Hmmm, hard to parley when the enemy doesn't show up.
It's also kind of hard when the forum userbase drives that second party away... which I believe we've seen demonstrated here.

Miilla you are one very wad person. You sit and post on the forums for 18 hours a day with ZERO constructive things to say. Are you that desperate for attention that you have to do this? Did your mom not hug you as a child? Seriously shut the **** up. You have done nothing but bait rage and troll people the entire time. If mitnal were still here you would have been banned faster than you could spam RENs local.
Now for a constructive response CCP. There are those of us who still have faith, please do the right thing, make the NeX store vanity only and keep it that way. Also by doing that you will make most of the rage quiiter look pretty dumb.

And CCP had nothing to do with angering their customers?
Come on. They aren't innocent victims here.

I'm extremely dissapointed with CCP forcing Incarna and MT on us.
Walking in stations *is* a great idea, but it should not be forced. As others have mentioned, it should be optional, just like you promised with the function of Space->Hanger->CQ.
Forcing the matter has obviously made people unhappy, doubly so when it's such an incomplete product (3 missing quarters and 4 missing station areas) and also incredibly shoddy.
The MT issue is not just the fact they cost a mind boggling amount, but the fact people don't want them in a game where they're paying a sub. I don't. It's just icing on the cake that they're stupidly priced in an obvious money grab, especially when it was promised a year or two back that MT's would never ever be welcome in EVE.
I have to say that as I pay on a month by month basis, I don't think I'll be renewing unless I see some big changes.
Also, where's CCP Oveur got to? He was always an awesome dude. --------------------------------- Go Web! Go! |

It goes deeper: Note the recent changes to probing included in Incarna but never mentioned by the devs. Seems 4 probes aren't cutting it any longer unless you're using Sister Probes. Factional Sister probes. CCP wants to sell in-game items ... you need factional Sister probes ... CCP wants to sell in-game items.
Hmm. Adding 2+2 yet?
/tinfoil hat off
Now you're just being silly. Besides, you got this figured backwards: they plan to sell you unprobability.
Why limit it to one side? Sell gold probes to the probers, and sell a ship-hiding module that runs for 60 minutes to those hiding.

hi guys, Korerin here :) im a known CCP brown-nose (to the extent where my own corp think im a CCP spy) who supports them to the death through just about every stupid decision this side of T20, amongst the noise of this grand threadnaught i would just like to say:

ill conceder re-subbing if:
- There is a really really honest to goodness buzzword-free explanation for this pile of minge.
- Hilmar makes a smug-free statement concerning the CCP corporate mission and how he intends to re-assert that mission*
- CCP commit in absolutely no uncertain terms that microtransactions will have no in-game effect in eve. ever.
- CCP commit in absolutely no uncertain terms that the CSM are stakeholders and will not be treated with such contempt in the future
secondry objectives:
- 'Uncle' Soundwave, in a bathtub full of beans, a shoe on his head, singing a song about how sorry he is.
* just quotin: CCP's mission is to attract and retain customers by providing top quality online entertainment. CCP does this by establishing and nurturing a trust relationship with customers both in terms of quality of content as well as quality of service.
condolences to all at CCP, it must be a nasty time to work there, looks like the whole 'community led development' thing turns into a bit of a nightmare when the wheels get kicked.

This: Tippia A thusand times what they said.
Quote: To sum up: your three points are of some concern, but they are actually not particularly relevant. What is relevant is that you have been caught pursuing things that you promised us not to pursue, and you have further dented a relationship to your community that was already shaky from the last few weeks' worth of controversy: the developer licensing debacle, the IW Scorp debacle, the reneged promises about CQ and Incarna, the NeX store debacle, and all the standard mess that comes with a significant release of core content. However, the latter are just that: they're build-up. They're not the actual problem. The actual problem is the lie. That problem is compounded by the very casual and uncaring manner in which concerns have been met with since the patch release. It is further compounded by your apparent inability to identify this very obvious key issue. Yes, the NeX store prices are barmy, and you need to address this, and make your strategy for vanity items clear to assuage the worries that you don't really know what you're doing and that you're not wasting time and effort on things no-one will ever use. Yes, the CQ lacks the required options to make it a satisfactory addition for all players, and you need to address this too ù preferably by providing those options, but at least by communicating what led up to them not being included (this time, or ever). Yes, there are technical issues with the patch, but those will presumably be dealt with in due time as they always are. But again, the key issue here is that your voice no longer has any value. You no longer have the confidence of the community. You have managed to contradict and suppress yourself into a position of zero trustworthiness. This is not something you can ôPRö yourselves out of ù it requires a drastic change in organisational culture (good luck), a drastic change in communications strategy (good luck), and, yes, quite possibly killing some of your darlings (tough luck).

Just to be clear, game code and be fixed. What CCP is doing is breaking the community, which often cannot be fixed.
Eve Online, and by extention CCP, was seen by most gaming communities as one of the last oasis of a hardcore MMO. What CCP did not really realize before Incarna is that most of us gamers have seen these sorts of moves from other companies and we know the writing on the wall. This game should be about serious internet spaceships, and it is clear at this point in time, that focus has changed. ========================= Karash Amerius - Operative - Sutoka Fighting Broke - A Eve Online Blog ========================= |

Stop whiteknighting you fool.
CCP asked us to post here. They asked for Parley.
Then they reverted back to their standard operation procedure of waiting for the rage to subside; thus making the original request for discussion completely pointless.
In a nutshell the request for parlay was a lie. But noone is surprised this time.
