*Greed is Good is a typical example of CCP's absolutely awful messaging. All the same, they might as well have had an internal newsletter called "I WANT TO **** MY CUSTOMERS" as far as the messaging impact is concerned.

The timing of GiG leaking with the NeX opening is masterful on the part of the leakers and awful for CCP.

*I don't care about NeX prices. They can charge hundreds of dollars for sparkleponies and monocles and I don't give a rat's ass - I'm here for the spaceships.

My concerns are keeping microtransactions away from the combat gameplay and fighting for balance and an improved spaceship-on-spaceship experience. Lag, supercapital imbalance, iterative ship balance, all of these things matter far more to me than a store with clothes for a space barbie.

The prices on the NEX is what worries me. It gives the strong impression that the people making decisions have a disconnect with reality. I don't see anything I would pay money for, maybe there would be some kind of vanity item at some price point that I would think "meh, why not" at some point, but there is a complete disconnect with reality when CCP makes a pixel shirt that costs more than a RL shirt.

I just can't bring myself to give a crap about vanity items. People pay almost a thousand bucks to get a special tiger mount in WoW. I care about spaceships, since this is a spaceship game, not a dress-up game. They could literally charge 5000 bucks for a monocle and I wouldn't lift a finger to stop them. vOv

For me, the long knives come out if they start trying to mess with the gameplay itself with micros. Gold ammo, ships that are different from existing ships statswise, etc.

Step 1) Come out of your hole
Step 2) Accept that you were wrong and admit that your greed almost jeopardize your only income.

Step 4) NOT ONLY PROMISE, BUT GET A KNIFE AND MAKE A BLOOD PROMISE... wait sorry, we cannot know for sure, even you, that you gonna not be stupid and dont implement any game rule breaking MTs, but again, DONT DO IT.
Step 5) Re-manage your dev power and start developing again FOR spaceships. Theres mining, which is so boring and simple that bots do it. Then after perfecting the core things in EVE start fixing your other stuff like FW (0.0 stuff its CORE so do it first then FW) then PI, Then finish incarna (actually you should put WoD full throttle so you copy code from WoD to Incarna and not the other way arround)
Step 6) DONT WORRY, BE HAPPY....wait that isnt, its WORRY FOR YOUR COSTUMERS, IF YOU WORRY YOU WILL BE HAPPY.

Also some recomendations:
-Replan Dust514 MT strategic. If it affects EVE and force your hand to implement MT then you are screwed. Try using a 5$ subscription fee for Dust and you will see it will work. Why? Because 5$ a month X 6 months its what a console gamer usually spend in a game that come out in 6 month. And new eden could be more addicting. If 5$ dosent convince you 7$ TOPS, if not, you are screwed.

-Start dev WoD as should be. My guess? You are trowing that dev power to Incarna so you test it first with us (and screw us if necesary seems so) to then use it in WoD. Wanna more money, theres your golden moose, not us.

Step 7) Make us happy, the costumer its allways right
Step 8) Enjoy a decent pay for your hard work, dont rob us by being cheap.

AND If you feel you dont wanna DEVELOP MORE FOR EVE, SELL IT. MAKING IT DIE SLOWLY DOSENT HELP YOU IN ANYWAY TO YOUR REPUTATION.

Sup, Mittens. That mook, Soundwave as well as the other opposing view, Diagoras, were obviously just used as faces by marketing to make what was already an executive decision look like a discussion for the more challenged within CCP. The MT, pay to win, decision was obviously made, long ago. If not they would have said so in one of the devbogrolls this morning at the latest, not when the sh!tstorm was hitting close to 200 posts.
