Hmm sorry but no idea :< it did work for me, but then i did that copy/paste thing immediately after receiving the email... perhaps you could try to request another password reset, and copy/paste the link you receive then, in the new mail? Am guessing there's a chance you get it faster now, with most active users sorted out and the mail queue hopefully shorter ^^;;
Well i cant actually cut and paste the link i have to type it into the address bar - but same thing applies ill attampt to get them to send another email and try again - thanks for advice, and cool sig by the way

I have repeatedly sent emails asking customer service to fix my main account.
I had one reponse earlier last night and they sent me a login id and password that did not work. I have had no response from customer service since then.
what can I do here? I would like to play the game with my main character or atleast get a response as to the status.

I recieved 2 messages regarding the reset of the password for my main character BUT!!!! Naturally one would use the LATEST message and gain access using the LATEST password BUT!!! Nooooooo The latest one did not allow me access, so I used the earlier message and... Still no access, and despite requesting a reset of the password (note ONLY requested a password 3 times since this episode, which works out at once every 6 hours now) I still have no access to my main character Implications: No training now for 18 hours No missions for 18 hours and More importantly My secondary character has no access into the 'communal' kit store as the main character has em all  All I get from CCP is 'Please be patient'

I've reseted my pass and i've done it few hours back now but every time i enter my new pass game says the username/password are incorrect and will not let me in game its quite thrustrating after a while

Here's a question. How many people who haven't received the emails had to have their passwords sent to a hotmail account? I have a feeling some email providers have blacklisted ccps email servers as spam because of the ammount of email coming from them and heading to people with hotmail.com addresses. Same might have happened to bigger email providers.
Just a question, because i've yet to receive any email that's suppose to send to my hotmail account.
I suppose i'm more ticked off because i feel i'm left in the dark as to what the whole situation is. If they said "it'll take X hours to get this fixed" i'd be happier. If they said "everyone should have their email by X date" i'd be happier. Instead i'm sitting here unable to log into my account, unable to receive a password, unable to do anything really on something i am paying for. While i understand that stuff like this does happen, just a little more communication concerning the issue would go a long way.

I got notifications for both my accounts last night and changed them. Unfortunately my new main account pwd doesn't work. Probably I managed to forget it but despite initiating another reset last night at 9pm I still haven't received anything. FWIW the first time around it took 7 hours to get the notifications so it's possible that this has extended overnight although hours seems excessive.

That's possible but I run my own mail server at home and I've now been waiting twelve hours for the reset I requested last night. Slightly annoying as that char has lost 11 hours training but it can't be helped. Better than having his account compromised.

Just logged into my isp web mail (BT) and the [email protected] email address has been blocked as spam, this may account for the delay for most people

so any explanation as to how this was pulled off ? were those affected visited a site that downloaded trojan monitoring software ? and being perhaps an unoffical eve fansite that is how it was pulled off />?
Are we in for an explanation at all and how CCP plans to encrypte all data transfers between client and server in teh future to avoid a repeat - from what ive read on various threads all data transfer is plain text ie login - combat etc etc. This is just sloppy programming that exposes all users to this type of malicious activity. Fix it please. Im a happy little camper now - CCP 4tw. |

I was all set to go ballistic at CCP but... it's not their problem. I'm willing to bet that in almost all cases the problem is that your mail provider has classed it as spam. I requested new PWs last night about 10 times and first thing this morning - just checked the spam folder - almost all of the emails were sent out immediately.
So check your mail before you go off on one at CCP

I am still waiting for an email for my second account as i cannot reset my password !. I have sent an email with the info they would need all i can do now is just wait:). Now i understand that CCP is under a lot of presure with sorting this mess out with resting passwords for a big number of players if not all,and it seems as if a number are having problems the same as me!,I just hope this is not going to run into DAYS to get my second Account online-if so maybe some free dayz!!!.

I have checked my junkmail... no eve emails in there. I think hotmail is blocking them before they even reach junkmail so that they don't take up bandwidth. I added eve-online.com to my allowed users list but still no emails. If it's blacklisted by hotmail, it would prevent ANY messages from getting in. Same thing happened when gmail first started. So many people were sending hotmail invitations hotmail started blocking those emails as spam and tonnes of people never got their invites.

and why, well petition sent, clearly stating that my other account the email address i thought i had, did not respond and i tried the ones i have used for the past year or so, and still no luck.
Asked could they reset the account to my email address..
And whats the response, "We experienced issues blahh blaahhh blaahhh, we had to reset passwords, please use the reset password feature at the eve website"
WTF was the point of that, i said this does not work because it does not recognise the email addresses i would have used. So ANOTHER petition raise thus adding to the already long and never ending piles of petitions.
If the GM had read the petition correctly, i would not have to raise another petiton to add to an already over burdened system.
Look i accept the DT, and accept the problems we have had in the name of keeping our accounts secure BUT when i get a response to a petition i expect the GM to actually fecking read it and respond accordingly, not go into mindless autobot mode and cut and paste the standard response.
Anyway i feel better now i have vented.

It certainly is their problem in some cases. I run my own mail server and looking at the emails I recieved the first time the connection to my server was directly from their machine to mine. My email server is up and running atm so the only reason for me not getting the email is a delay at CCP's end.
Even if my server logged the mail as spam the delivery would have been logged and the server logs show no contact from CPC servers for over 15 hours now.
Such is life :-/

One huge problem with getting mails is that so so many people request password multiple times.

I submitted a pwd request once for each of my 2 other acounts, still no mail and that was yesterday afternoon. Soooooooo, I'm waiting patiently until CCP decide to answer my cry for help. In the meantime I have linked up my g/f's PC to my 56" Plasma in the front room and am about to settle down to watch the entire series of "Over There"! After that I will take the valuable lessons learnt and go kick some butt on BF2!

I asked for a pw on my main a couple of hours ago again because i ctd and lost the window with pw before i could save or change it.., it took 9-10hrs the first time so, its a bit frustrating :(

Besides the spam filters, only about 75% of the emails on the accounts are actually correct or useable 
If you are certain that you have the right email address linked to the account, which can be confirmed by doing a manual password reset because it matches both the username and the email registered on the account and you are positive that you haven't recieved the email, then petition it. The GM's are working overtime to respond to them all. Senior Producer EVE Online

well i think ccp did right when they did what they did.. high security always is good.. the problem some have including me is that when first we made the acounts we used a difrent email adress than we do today. in my case i played since launch of the game, and i FORGOT to alter the email wich the given password should be send to.. so when resetted it sends to a wrong email adress.. i tried to call my isp whom WAS the holder of the given email but the email adress is 100% gone from there system. so... he.. well i made petition and heres what the system told me to do..
If your are not able to access your registered email anymore, then you will have to send a mail to [email protected] or use the 'Ask a Question' feature on the website and categorize it in the 'Billing' category. I understand your concerns and I assure you that everything will be done to rectify this situation. If you need to send your case please include the following information 1. The cd-key of the account (and a scanned or a digital picture if available) 2. Account information (name of account holder, address, email, date of birth, creation date) 3. Billing information (last 6 digits of credit card, type of card, name of cardholder, subscription type) 4. Characters on the account
this should work. ofc it takes time but imagine what woul dhave or could have happend if ccp did not reset all passes.. we would log in and find our caracters looted or soemthing worse DELETED omfg... imgaine 2 years of gametime went up the drain...
i say GJ ccp u did right... I will make u into biosource... |

any chance of getting some info on what is happening for those accounts where the correct e-mail address is not being recognised when u request a password via account management.
i have submitted an incident but that is now 24 hours of not being able to access my main account and i'm starting to get worried that someone has been able to change the e-mail on it and the account is now in jeopardy.
how do we find out if our account was one of "the 57" or has just been locked as a precaution by u guys?

On one of my accounts, it appears I've forgotten the e-mail. How do I get a new password when I need a password to get in to change my e-mail address so they can change my password? 
Oh and I'm getting a little frustriated with all of this as well...
