When I looked at the download page it shows 32 bit versions but no 64 bit. Is there a version I can use with 64 bit XP? |

People who like the eve-central trade finder may like to try a variant I built that can combine multiple cargos on the same route and take into account ranged buy orders. http://eve.the-transcend.com/tradeserver/ It's still beta but already making me lots of ISK. Enjoy and give feedback.

I'd like to suggest an addition to your XML feeds. Would it be possible to add a feed like the quicklook one, that ONLY returns the timestamp of when the last market log for a specific item was uploaded?
If that was available it would help in avoiding unnecessary downloads of items that haven't actually been updated lately.

Another suggestion that was given to me was that the part of your code that is responsible for the xml api should return the actual 404 response code header instead of "item not found", would make it a bit more easier for coders to skip those. :)

Edited by: Vaerah Vahrokha on 05/06/2009 11:58:59 I am planning a project.
I'd like to know some information about the mailman delivery:
- How many emails are generated in general (rough number) per day
- How many emails are sent at peak time.
This would help me dimension the receiving end.

"sethours" doesn't work. When I set it to 1 I will get data which are older than 10 hours... And an empty query will need about 0.5 to 1 seconds.
Sorry for my bad english

First on: I am a new player of eve (3rd day now) and i wanted to venture from boring mining to exiting trading. Was a hard time (one day) till i found eve-central.
I am baffled! What an OUTSTANDING tool you gave us there, Kaladr!
I am actively submitting Market-data, but isnt there a automated way to press this export-Button? Do i really have to think of it every time or is there a simple tool which waits for the market-data to appear and press the button for me as soon as the data is there?? Whould be worth a LOT for the central i think! :)

Welcome to EVE
What you're describing would probably be classed as a macro and thus be bannable, which isn't so great. The other option would be a "cache reader" - that, rather than looking at your screen, would monitor the game's cache files for when your client downloads the market data - and there's not currently one for EVE Central (one of its "rivals" has one, but that site has ground to a halt for the last few months). I think there are a few people trying to create one (myself included), but there's nothing published (yet - I hope). ---------- EVE Markets - global price trends at your fingertips |

EVE Central could really use the uploader tool that EVE Metrics has.
EVE Metrics Uploader tool is better than EVE Central's but EVE Central has better service than EVE Metrics.
Why can't those two combine?

Little known fact: EVE-Central was reading EVE-Metrics market data, back in EveMetrics 1.0.
Since the site update went on a feature reduction across the board, we no longer do it, but will resume soon(tm). |

Thank You for creating this program. It has saved me TONS of time. Before this program was pointed out to me, I was literally warping region to region (Essence, Verge Vender, Genesis, Sinq Laison, Everyshore) physically writing down on 3x5 index cards items in the market and then comparing profits vs. time/routes. I went thru 2 whole stacks of index cards before I found this program. It was somewhat rewarding at first, finding a good trade route on my own, but the 2+ hours I was spending running around before I made a single trade became a real drag real quick. I was the type of player who didnt like to use 3rd party programs to help with my gaming as I felt this was somewhat like cheating and removing the sensation of acomplishment from the game. After some thought, I concluded this isnt cheating, rather its a tool to help get the job done. Being married and father of 2 kids, I only have a few hours a week Im able to play. Your program allows me to PLAY the game instead of WORKing to play.
Thank You!!!! A 10th of all I earn I keep for myself. |

Howdy again...
I realize ive only been using the program for a short time, so I might be out of line to ask/request this, but its worth a shot...
Inside of the Trade section of Central, It does have the option for it to filter out low-sec routes when possible, however, the systems that are shown are not labeled with their security status regardless.
I know that after some time, I will become more familiar to which systems are low-sec and which are high-sec, but in the meantime, my thoughts are that it would be a nice addition to your program if each system labeled had its sec-status next to it so I can see at a glance if its low or high.
In addition to that or perhaps just this, when Central tells you the "to" and "from" and its going to be a 6 system jump, perhaps having those 6 systems listed along with their associated sec-status "colored" dot next to the name. Similar to how ingame when you Set Destination, It lists the names of all the systems you will have to go thru along with their colored dot, i.e. yellow=.5, orange=.4 - .3, red=.2 - .1
I havent the slightest clue as to how difficult that would be to do or if its even possible, so forgive me if I ask for too much from an already GREAT program. I just thought I would toss in the request for this modification as this was the main question I kept asking myself when I would find a route...."Is the route going thru low-sec? How bout the other 4 systems I have to go thru to get from the "from" to the "to" area of the route.
IMO, I think that would be a great addition to your program. Hope my idea wasnt insulting or anything A 10th of all I earn I keep for myself. |

You may already know this, but we've now got daily incremental and full order dumps available. You can read the docs over here: http://eve-metrics.com/api/csv. Compared to our old APIs that should be a piece of cake to work with for scraping our data into your app.

We'd be up for talking about it :) but it's never really come up before. We'll be opening the source to our uploader soon, though we're working on a new version that will support OAuth for connecting your EVE Metrics account with the uploader as well as other operating systems (OSX and Linux).
As for EM being better than EC.. well, EC still wins hands down on the route finder functionality and so on. We're still playing catch-up there. We do have some major new features coming out in EM2.1 which should be released in the next few days; there's more on that on my blog if you're interested. -- Ix Forres EVE Application Developer Charactr (NEW) | EVE Metrics | I Tweet |

Rig data should be there. I will have to triple check on why you can't browse it (hmm).
We're working hard on Contribtastic! (the EVE-Central uploader version 2) which uses libevecache (our open source cache reader library). We're also in the middle of making the entire site codebase available under the AGPL. ---- EVE-Central.com - Your EVE economic and corporate site, featuring the inter-region market browser |

Is it just me (for what reason I don't know), or is it everyone that can't browse the new rigs? I'm just confused as to why this would be.
For example, I search "Capacitor Control Circuit I" I see buy and sell orders, if I search "Large Capacitor Control Circuit I" I get...
Quote: You searched the items list for for Large Capacitor Control Circuit I. 0 results:
am I doing it right? there should be something returned for that correct?
