Is it possible to fetch data for multiple items at once?
Something like: http://eve-central.com/home/marketstat_xml.html?typeid=34:35:36:xx
That would be nice, so i don't need to nuke your server 20 times which could be one query.

http://eve-central.com/home/marketstat_xml.html?typeid=34«ionlimit=1000022
That should return data for trit in The Forge region only if I am correct, but it returns only zeros. http://eve-central.com/home/marketstat_xml.html?typeid=34 works fine...
Anyone got this working?
Oh and a fantastic site btw.
your using the wrong region i think try: http://eve-central.com/home/marketstat_xml.html?typeid=34®ionlimit=10000002
works for me

Edited by: Red Panda on 29/02/2008 03:29:52 I dont know if that has been put here but on http://www.searchplugins.net you can have many search engines installed in firefox search tool. Here is what I found :
http://www.searchplugins.net/pluginlist.aspx?q=eve-central&mode=title Quite usefull. Now you can access directly to the results. One drawback, no choice of regions.
For installing it, click on the little "I" while using FF.

(Eve Central appeared to be down to me for a while, but it's back now.)
Regarding Red Panda's tip, another convenient trick for Firefox users is to set up a keyword bookmark. To search Eve Central for Harbingers I just hit "Ctrl-L" (or click in the address bar), type "ec Harbinger" and hit "Enter". This may be more convenient for some because you can leave the search plugin set to your main search engine.
To do it, go to Eve-Central's page and right-click in the search box. Select "Add a keyword for this Search" from the pop-up menu. Then give the bookmark whatever name and keyword you want. For example Name might be "Search Eve Central" and Keyword might be "ec". This would create a bookmark named "Search Eve Central". Now when you type "ec <search term>" it's equivalent to typing "<search term>" into the search field at Eve Central. Try it - it's especially handy for people who don't like using the mouse.
Incidentally, you can use this for any web form you like. I have many keywords set up so I don't have to waste time going through the front page of various websites. The only downside is trying to remember you have a keyword set up (and what the keyword is.) You also clutter your bookmarks. That can be minimized by creating a folder specifically for storing keyword bookmarks.

Could someone with *working* Eve Central DNS resolve www.eve-central.com and post the result? Most likely the unavailability of the server has to do with moving it (maybe DNS not flushed properly).

I loosely suspect the inability for some, including me, to connect to eve-central.com is related to the dispute between Telia and Cogent.
Using a proxy not stationed in europe I am able to access eve-central without any hassle. I'm surfin' from Sweden.

Edited by: Kaladr on 21/03/2008 01:18:56 Hi all,
EVE-Central.com's primary co-location bandwidth provider is [drumroll] Cogent. Telia and Cogent are slinging mud right now, and not peering. There should be a backup route through another provider (L3 and XO), but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll have some words with the hosting provider about that. You can see from the traceroute above that the data actually seems to enter the data center its in, but then takes a suprise trip south to San Jose .
I can't offer a "quick fix" for this issue.

This is confirmed. The XO route is completely cut off for me from work (going through telia link), but my homeserver which uses another route (telenor) to eve-central works fine.
