Kaladr, Excellent tools. My donation is probably trivial, but you can be sure there's more to come.
Trading Robotics revealed some points where the Trade finder can mislead: 1) The player may not have enough capital (or want to risk it) to move the full amount tradable. 2) A 1% tax can turn what appears to be a per-unit profit into a loss.
Might I recommend the following enhancements: 1) Add a filter for "trading capital" which limits how much of a product can be bought. 2A) Add "% profit" next to "per-unit profit" in the output so the player to quickly see whether taxes are going to take a significant bite out of the trade. OR 2B) Add a "tax percent" filter that is incorporated into the bottom-line profitability.
Again, thanks.

A nice feature would have been to filter out low sec systems in marked browser? :)
As a trader im using this hub all the time, and as a freighter pilot i dont go into low sec, i recon there are more like people doing the same as me :)

Now you can receive every market log uploaded to EVE-Central.com via e-mail, more or less the instant it happens. From there, you can filter it to a script on your e-mail server, or pull it from a POP/IMAP server at your end to process messages. This is probably the most advanced system we offer. It will chew through a lot of bandwidth and storage space, generating potentially hundreds of e-mails per hour.

database master/slave replication > RSS > Email. Binary data ftw. Still, email is better than nothing. Thanks Kaladr. Now if there were separate email lists for regions/items, that would be really cool.
I'd also like to see a nightly dump that included all the 'current' orders in the database, rather than just the new stuff received during the day. Otherwise I need all the historical data back for a year in order to establish what the current market situation is. |

RSS is pull. E-mail is push. I opted for push, as its the most real-time.
One lacking feature we have is the current market orders isn't available via the API. This is where an RSS-like feed would be the most appropriate, to complement the region/item statistics XML request.
DB master/slave replication is far too platform specific. Binary formats would conserve bandwidth at the expense of ease of use. Bandwidth isn't too much of a problem for now, so ease of use won. ---- EVE-Central.com - Your EVE economic and corporate site, featuring the inter-region market browser |

Both good ideas. I'll see what I can do. I still have some annoying DB related issues such as incorrect rounded sec-statuses for many systems that I have to work through as well. ---- EVE-Central.com - Your EVE economic and corporate site, featuring the inter-region market browser |

Surely the end result will just be programs querying their email servers repeatedly instead of yours? Do you think this will result in you using less bandwidth as a result? How do you intend to minimize waste, i.e. people not using the service any more, but still being subscribed.
And last question, (sorry, couldn't determine from the dev page), do you plan to do something funky with the email, like using it with SOAP, or will it just be the csv files?

Its really designed for people with their own mail server, though POP pulling is possible as well. In the case of POP pulling, it is offloaded from my system, so not really my concern in terms of bandwidth. For people with their own server, you simply setup a mail alias which pipes all mail to your interested script. Quick, good performance, easy to setup, and it works. SMTP also has very well understood delivery mechanics - when messages start failing (no route, server dead, account gone, mailbox full, etc), the list manager can quickly figure it out and stop delivery to that address.
Using RSS increases my bandwidth use, as people will have to constantly sc*****the RSS feed to discover new data, and then pull new data from there.
The output of the mails is in the EVE produced CSV format. Its a well understood format in regards to EVE market logs, and a good lowest common denominator. Using XML adds unneeded bulk in this case. ---- EVE-Central.com - Your EVE economic and corporate site, featuring the inter-region market browser |

System is upand working in the in gamebrowser. Have used it to find some good stuff. I used to be able to contribute to it easily but now when I run the uploader, the newest one, I get errors. you need to first point it to your export directory, usually in My Docs\EVE\logs\MarketLogs. then when in game, with the program running (or it can be run at a different time, you view items on the market, like ammo, ships, blueprints, etc... but when the screen loads, you click the EXPORT TO FILE button on the mid-right of the page, next to Buy Order button.
Repeat for as long as you like depending on what you are viewing to help us all scan different regions. I tend to cover Essence and Forge, as that's where i am based. To help the traders find routes via the EC website be sure to always export all the industrial goods prices, it then help in the EC engine generate possible trade opportunities.
if the app is running, it will auto scan and upload, if not the next time you run it, just manually tell it to scan for updates and the info will be uploaded and removed from the folder. ************************************************** Maker of the finest Scottish drones and ammo...all combined with Active Peat Camouflage (tm) -- so dark, you won't see them coming!! |

Thanks, I was able to figure it out recently, and made it to top uploaders with 3k reports :) You may want to link the important how to - which I finally found on 'MarketUploader Software' page, under 'How to Use' heading , somewhat hidden below version changes and dowloads, from top of that page and also from 'Home' and ' Market Browser ' pages.
Love the tool :) -- One day, we will return to the planets... please, CCP? :)

Can someone comfirm that the xml feed with a regionlimit= flag works. I cant get it to return any valid data.
http://eve-central.com/home/marketstat_xml.html?typeid=34®ionlimit=1000022
That should return data for trit in The Forge region only if I am correct, but it returns only zeros. http://eve-central.com/home/marketstat_xml.html?typeid=34 works fine...
Anyone got this working?

Second that. I got this to work in Google Docs, but the mineral prices from The Forge were off what I could see in Jita...
Once that happens, I'm golden!

I did a week ago, awesome. Since then I've started writing my own meesquall application based on this data to make my fortune. Funny because I'm writing code more than playing eve ROFL. I love playing with this kind of stuff and hate killing belt rats for money in eve. Not a good thing with a pvp habit.
