Uh, maybe that's just me, but everything I can get an URL of on http://pic.eve-online.com gives me a "HTTP 400 - Bad Request". I tried the New Scythe from a recent Redundancy Blog), same result.

Ah, loving it. This has been upgraded from "irritation" to "calamity" and has just now, with the last few posts, achieved the hallowed ranks of "saga".

Yeah, was thinking along the same lines.
Personally, if I was responsible for the portrait server, I'd be really tempted to go through a few random "bugs" while getting the new portraits sorted.
On day one replace all ! with ?
On day two return them to ! on a blue background
On day three use the proper portraits but superimpose a ! on ALL portraits
On day four switch all male portraits with females and vice versa
On day five then fix all Gallentes and Caldari, but switch all Minmatar with Amarr faces
On day six return to the original situation with all newer portraits back to their beloved !, but stand Jovians upside-down
And on day seven finally install the correct portraits.
All right so by day three I'd probably not have access to the machine any more, so this has to be prepared a little with a few strategically placed cron jobs on several machines.

Modify rendering process so tons of portaits will look different than their creators intented thus people will mass change portaits 10Ç per pop
Playing Caldari-Online as a Amarr specced is PURE Hardcore (aka. stupid).

Just a hint people, as they told us they are rendering ALL pics and the copying ALL over. Meaning *when* this happens it happens for *everyone*. At once.
In short, if you see any other chars with you don't need to bother to "test" if you magically are the exeption. It's either everyone or noone.

Actually this "new" portrait looks more like the "old" portraits before they broke the rendering resulting in a cropped/zoomed in look. Hopefully this will transfer into in game portrait capturing too.
