Today I was talking to some corp mates of mine which im going to the Fanfest with, and all of a sudden they said, wtf omfg you have to be atleast 18 to attend the fanfest. So the point now is I'm f$%^&*ed My parents bought the ticket and a 7 day trip to Reykjavik for my Birthday(can't remember the hotel). At this stage it was too late to withdraw the vacation and get our money back.
What Now? I am 17 years old from the date of 15th of juli. Is there an exception to be made? Is it true that last years kids where alowed to go? Can I be a kid and come together with my godfater? Or does this mean i couldv' burned my Euro's to get rid of them faster?
ps: I am not alowed to drink beer due to a rare kidney deseace. I feel like a Brazillian now, ISK PLIX.

I'm really sorry to hear this. The problem is that the 18 year age limit is due to Icelandic law, since we serve alcohol you have to be 18 to enter the Fanfest area. There is nothing we can do about this I'm afraid.
We will look into the exact details of Icelandic law tomorrow and see if it would be possible for you to enter the Fanfest area with a legal guardian or similar.

Put up your best "18 year old face" and just be ignorant of childish rules like that, works most of the times.

Back in May I purchased two Fanfest passes, one for me and one for my wife. Now that you have announced the Sisters of Eve program at the same price, I would like to know if I can trade her Fanfest pass for the Sisters of Eve pass. |

The Fanfest Access Pass for Sisters of EVE Access Pass Exchange Program
Since some of you may have purchased a Fanfest Access Pass before Sisters of EVE was announced you may wish to exchange the Fanfest Access Pass for a Sisters of EVE Access Pass, and now that is possible!
All you need to do is to email me your name, the name of your spouse and the order number and we will take care of it. My email is [email protected].
Please keep in mind that the one Sisters of EVE Access Pass per EVE Fanfest Access Pass rule still applies, you cannot purchase one EVE Fanfest Access Pass and more than one Sisters of EVE Access Pass.

beg your father or mother to come with you. Under Icelandic law you could enter with a legal guardian.

Hmm. Is it true that all tickets for the FF are sold out?
I was going to go 3 months ago, then RL got in the way, and now it seems RL is sorted enough for me to consider going again.
Completely sold out already? ----------------------

Hmm. It was implied in a recent conversation. When I checked the Eve-Store, I couldn't find the tickets. I probably missed it due to the fact I had presumed them not to be there in the first place. Thanks Wrangler. :) Buy you a beer if I end up going. ^_^ ----------------------

I think you need to go through the Fanfest pages to get to the tickets, but anyway, to make it easier: EVE Fanfest 2007 Access Passes.

Go to "My Account" and log in. There's some buttons to your right, one says "Enable EVE Voice", press that. Congrats, yoy know have EVE Voice!
Then when the time comes for the LDB, go in game. Join the in game channel "Live Dev Blog" just like you would join any channel. Right click on the channel name at the top, once you're in, to get a menu. On that menu press "join audio".
And you're done! Listen and enjoy!

Edited by: Succurso on 28/09/2007 10:19:09 Hi there,
I purchased two tickets for the fanfest when they initially came out.
However due to real life issues I am now unable to attend. On a plus note however a friend is going and is willing to take my tickets.
Do I need to transfer them over to his name? Or is it ok just to give him the code I was issued when I bought the tickets and he can pick them up on the day?

I seem to have lost the confirmation email with my access pass number etc in it. I've looked for some way to recover this or request a new mail to be sent, but I was unable to find anything. Anyone know anyway to recover these details, or know who in CCP I can email about this? I couldn't find any contact details on the Fan Fest page. Thanks. ----------------

Wrangler,
I have my ticket and I want to book the Icelandair package from London. However, the only option is to travel on the Thursday morning (after fanfest starts) and return on the saturday evening (while the drunken antics are still going on). What gives? I want to go Wednesday - Sunday, but the only option is book it all separately and pay much more in the process. Can someone take a look at this.

I believe the flight was sold out, but I've actually already sent an email about this. You have to understand that this is more a partnership with Icelandair than us telling them what to do, so we can't guarantee anything. But hopefully something will be added, though maybe it would mean extra days in Iceland or something.
The only other suggestion I really have would be to book a Fanfest package from maybe Copenhagen or something and then just fly over there? It means extra flight time of course, going through check in and security an extra time etc. but the good thing about London is that they tend to have really cheap flights to some places, so if we can't get anything for the UK package you should compare prices.
Something that may be even easier would be to select a flight from Manchester, I believe they have packages left, even though it might require a train ride.
