HEEEEEEELLOOOOOOOOOO FAN FEST! \o/
For flights from Sweden, there is a chance both Iceland Express and SAS has opened their connections by now,
last I heard they said April for launch but... The point is that there maybe ways to get cheaper flights
outside the package and from other airports than Stockholm and Copenhagen and then find a hotel through the interwebz0rz.
Im currently rolling myself in pineapple juice and free drinks on Hawaii but I'll get on this when I get back.
Anywho... I guess you be seeing me there, one way or the other.

Being 19 really isn't that much fun it seems,
Was hoping to go this year as well 
But going to a fanfest and being sober just isn't a option it seems
To clarify the drinking age is 20? seems a bit of an odd number

ho humm my birthday is on the 9th of November, when i shall be 20. I guess i shall have to go to 2008 instead then because fanfest without beer sounds like i'm missing half the fun :( according to wikipedia the legal drinking age is 20 and "Possession or consumption of alcohol by minors is not an offence but supplying them with alcohol is. However, law allows alcohol possessed by a minor to be confiscated." so if i Pirate other peoples beers there might be hope :D

Cheer up, you 19-18 year olds. It is legal to simply be there and buy a cola too. I didnt drink THAT much last time, 2-3 beers, and id sometime choose to remain completely sober, and just drink cola anyway, while among ppl who do drink beer.

We can't promise any Devs, some of us are required to be there as part of our job, most of the others will probably show up though. I saw loads of Dev shirts around the place last year, I'd imagine the same will happen this year.

Another 19 year old wanting in on the fun. I think if my finances are in better shape I could maybe make it. Can any other americans say about how much they brought to make it a pleasurable trip? I have never been to that side of the earth () and would like to know about how much I need beyond the flight+hotel package to get a few shirts and goodies for folks back home and such.

Aww legal drinking age is 20?!? Where is the fun in that? Being 19 blows, I can buy alcohol here, but I can't drink there? Is it illegal to buy a bourbon and coke and just a plain coke, then accidently give the acoholic one to the 19 year old :) ?
Did anyone from Aus (particularly Perth) go last year that can give me an idea on costs etc?

I've suggested we make a map with the hotels and the venue and put it up. This will take some time because the guy doing it is very busy right now, but it will come in the near future.
I've also forwarded all ideas, suggestions and complaints to the powers that be at CCP, who will bring it up with Icelandair and other related parties.

ive been told that the nordic and Loftleider are about the same distance from the venue (20min walk) the Loftleider is nearer to the airport.

The Loftleidir is near Icelands domestic airport, not the international one. It's fairly far out from the city center, and definately further away than a 20 minute walk from the venue. Nordica on the other hand is about a 3 minute walk away from the venue.
