Sorry about this everyone, but I have a problem with the EFT. It seems that it is showing a fitting incorrectly on a Probe (On EFT it shows Cap Stable, in EVE, it lasts 1 minute and 26 seconds), and I wondered if anybody had some input as to why this is (I cannot figure it out myself). Here are the links to screenshots, and any input would be much obliged.
Any Ideas?

You open in EFT one logistic ship fit lets say Guardian and a second fit (the ship receiving remote rep) let say an Abaddon You click on the Abaddon window the tab - Projected Effects and drag and drop the remote repper from Guardina to that tab on Abaddon window defence status on BS will increase accordingly
btw this works with all ewar also with remote sensor boosters, tracking links, nos/neut pretty nice option in my opinion
This functionality is what makes eft so goddamn useful.

I have an odd problem with the last version.
Heavy Interdictor, Phobos.
Changing the character to "all lev V"
Displayed armor resistances do not change, although EHP does.
Still, would like to see the actual numbers.
Any chance for a fix?
Btw, persists on both vista 64-bit and XP 32 bit.

Originally by: faq.txt Q: I found that sometimes when I change the skill responsible for the ship bonus nothing changes. A: Some ships require certain skills at level 5 and give bonuses based on such skills. In that case bonuses in EFT will always be like you have this skill at level 5 even if you don't have it at all. For example you can't fly any Heavy Assault Ship without having it's race cruiser skill at level 5 so the bonuses those ships get from their cruiser skills will be always like you have this skill at level 5.
Also, the reason your EHP is changing is because the Level V character is giving more HP on hull, armour and shield. It has nothing to do with resists.

What you're missing is that EFT assumes you have a ship you're using your Nos on, while the in-game fitting screen doesn't. Turn off your Nos in EFT and it will look the same.
On a different note: I strongly suggest you not fit rails on an Amarr ship...

Actually the reason I do the rails are to do a one shot pop in the levels I'm doing. I will be doing laser beams later when my skills are more up to date, and when the range matches or beats what the rails do right now.
Also, thanks for the help about the power drain.

COMODO Internet Security reports a virus in Changes.txt
Name: TroWare.Win32.Shutdowner.edt@98015905
Occurs in the zip from the first and second links (probably 3rd as well).
Text file virus...? Assuming it's a false-positive.

Looks like the external linking page is messed up. Here you go: http://eve-files.com/media/corp/Gripen/EFT2.12.3.zip |

The interdiction sphere launcher doesn't apply the bonus correctly on interdictors, it still takes 100 CPU instead of 1.

I've had a problem with EFT losing my configs. Is there a way to be sure they are getting saved so my configs aren't lost if my computer is forced to reboot and I don't get to close EFT out ahead of time?
My apologies if this has been asked before, I wasn't able to go through all 160 pages to find the answer due to time constraints.

How exactly does one load a fit from an XML file? I found the import dialogue, but when I got to "Import Fit from XML..." and the little window pops up, while the cursor changes when I hover the mouse over "Open XML Files Folder", clicking it does nothing.
Am I missing a folder in the setup directory? Where should I save xml files that someone sends me to view in EFT?

EVE xml files go into your documents\eve\fittings folder. Then open eft and import window. You should be able to see the fittings now. Check the ones you want to import. ..................................................

This definitely fixed the issue I was running into. Did I miss something during setup or in the FAQ which detailed the creation of this directory?

Edited by: Daeleil on 03/06/2010 04:24:41 I'm getting an "invalid file name" error on running EFT.exe after unzipping the file. Clicking OK starts the program and gives an access violation error. Is there something I'm missing? or maybe the DL is corrupted? I have the following files in the folder:
Changes.txt config.ini EFT.exe EFt.exe.manifest FAQ.txt
I'll try downloading the file and unzipping again...
Update: DL'd from the Alt mirror 1 link, it lists a lot of Data files on that page that are just not there when the file is unzipped. I think the zip file is crapped. Alt mirror 2 does not exist. Can anyone else verifiy this or am I just missing something? |

EVE makes it's folders automatically and as needed. If you haven't used the ingame fittings window the folder might not have been created. Or it was a bug. Difficult to say. You didn't miss a step, for sure.
