I agree. I thought my EFT had royally ****ed up cause it doesn't look anything like the screenshot, the little black squares seem out of place, and the fittings bar is different.
I don't really mind, It's just different than last time, glad it wasn't my download lol.

Apologies if this has been addressed by I can't find it and its not in the FAQ.
1. EFT requires no installation so it looks like it can be run from a memory stick. Has anyone tried this and how is it working?
2. When it is run does it write to the registry, or other system files? I assume you can store the EFT files also the a detachable storage.
Thanks,
B

Bug:
The 50% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo velocity for the Rattlesnake isn't applying the bonus to torpedo velocity in versions 2.12.3 and 2.12.4. It does update the cruise missle velocity.

12 > 9! It is NOT 2.1.2.4 vs 2.9.1 but 2.12.4 vs 2.09.1 ie you downloaded an old version.

Not sure if it's just me or not, but I'm having a weird issue with EFT v2.12.4, downloaded from the link on pg.1 of this thread.
Basically, none of the mining lasers, ice harvesters, or strip miners are showing up at all by browsing the hierarchy or by a direct search. I've tried replacing the data files with ones from a fresh download, thinking that mine got corrupted or deleted somehow, but to no avail!
Please let me know if this is a common thing, if others are experiencing this, and most of all how to fix it!
Thanks, Eso

If there is a bug, it will never be resolved if you cant be bothered to give any info. But most likely it is just you doing something wrong (like implants in your own chars).

Shield Power Relay modules' "Show Info" is incorrect - showing that they decrease shield recharge and increase cap recharge, when in reality it's the other way round - but the effects are correctly applied.

Nope. Shield and cap recharge are times expressed in seconds, so: decreased shield recharge time = more hp/s recharged.

First of all, congratulatios for the program, just discovered it today and is quite handy.
Is there any chance to make it work on windows mobile? Would love to check some fittings while going to work.
Thanks again and well done.

Did you delete entire map? (Have had that problem when somehow one fitting file got corrupt.
Left bottom you can choose between normal, faction, complex and officer mods.

I apologize if this has been mentioned before, but, having done several forum searches and not found a hit, I thought it was worth bringing up. I would also like to state that, aside from the issue I am presenting in this post, I believe that EFT is a remarkably helpful program, and I'm very appreciative to its creator for working so hard on it to make it so much easier for me to fit ships.
EFT rates the drone dps of a dominix with an all-level-V pilot using GardeIIs at 450 dps and the dps of the same pilot using OgreIIs at 475 dps (no sentry drone damage rigs included). This follows in accordance with the drone-info statistical lists available in eft, which rate each drone's duration, base thermal damage, and damage modifier. However, eve's in-game drone-info screen presents different data, as exemplified below.
EFT STATISTICS OgreII: Duration - 4 Base thermal damage - 48 Damage modifier - 7.92
GardeII: Duration - 4 Base thermal damage - 50 Damage modifier - 7.2
IN-GAME EVE ONLINE STATISTICS OgreII: Duration - 4 Base thermal damage - 48 Damage modifier - 1.92
GardeII: Duration - 4 Base thermal damage - 50 Damage modifier - 1.92
I can understand EFT changing the damage modifier from 1.92 to 7.92 for the ogre either as a typo during data entry or as part of a uniform multiplication of damage modification values for all drones; however, I must ask: why is that, according to in-game eve, both the GardeII and OgreII have equal damage modifiers while, in eft, the OgreII has a greater damage modifier than the GardeII? Is the difference between eve's 1.92 rating and EFT's 7.2 rating the result of the typist missing the 9 by mistake?
It seems to me that, assuming eve's in-game figures are accurate, the GardeII should actually do more damage than the OgreII, and seeing EFT rate my GardeIIs as less damaging to the target than my OgreIIs makes me feel that EFT is either incorrect or I am missing something.
Does anyone know why EFT values drones in this manner?

View the ogre/garde stats in the drone selection screen in eft and you will see the 1.92. It is the higher values when viewed from a ships drone bay in eft because it is applying the damage increasing skills there.
Ogres get a higher damage mod becuase gallente drone spec affects them, and it does not affect sentry drones.
tl'dr: everything is working fine.

That explains it, then. I always assumed every gallente T2 drone fell under gallente-drone-specialization's list of "advanced" drones to bonus, but if gardes aren't included, it makes sense that ogres would do more damage.
Thank you very much for the information.

Sorry if this is a known issue... when I set up a DPS graph where one fast frig using two tracking disruptors with tracking disruption scripts (=massive disruption) circled another frigate (using small pulse lasers), the disruptors do not seem to have any effect whatsoever. EFT tells me the circling disruptor frig is hit almost perfectly no matter what. So in effect tracking disruption frig vs. frig would be useless.
Is that so or does EFT not take tracking disruptors into account?
