Exactly! I see that plex abuse and logoff exploits are now considered fair. Just goes to show how screwed the morality of many in the Cryalition has become.
As for Goons, their only crime is forum shenanigans is it? How about the fact that they actually tried to destroy the game? Or wait, what about their racist and illegal image spamming on the forums shortly after their threadnought? Or how about the time when they mocked the real life death of a player in forum sigs? Or how about their routine use of bookmark dumps and shuttle spams to screw up fleet fights?
I could go on, but I'm hungry, so going downstairs to get a pepperami.

tbh looks like just another (though extremely successful) PR action from BoB.
i mean think of it, we know that mr f took some stuff from BoB hangars. at first they said about 100 bil worth,
then it changed to 300 bil
then a bob member comes in and tells that mr f could steel 3 times more but didn't "for unknown reasons".
of course neither of these numbers were proven in any way like screenshots (if im wrong links plz). only real prove we have is CCP dev words that some thievery have occured, "large enough to ban acc for duration of investigation". but again with absolutely no numbers.
and do we know what then happened with the stuff?
have any1 seen some of it for sale or given out or hauled away or anything?
i mean are there proofs that mr f didn't just give the stuff back to bob for example? or won't do so in the near future when bob asks?
as of mr f well they might boot him but who stops the actual person from buying the new pvp or using the unknown alt for further bob membership?
however this whole affair is benificial for bob as they probably don't profit anymore from the uber all pwning alliance image they had till now.
now the public opinion will change in their favor because of all the empathy for the corp thievery victim.
also CCP image have improved after they unbanned mr f after the "swift investigation".
i guess BoBs have invented the whole thing after goonies titan fund drama.

So setting up POSs around EVE to run complexes is now an exploit? But, what about those complex's in BoB space that respawned every hour that it took a member of that coalition to put a stop too? My goodness, what a one-sided opinion of right and wrong you have!
So much about what people "know" about RA is just here-say spread by their enemies attempting to find an excuse for their total failure. I have yet to see a "logoffski" and I fly around with some RA pilots quite a bit in the South.
And again, here we are with the "knowledge" of GoonSwarm! Bookmarks in our shuttles? I'd love to see this, I really would: it would make me fall on the floor and laugh my ass off that it actually happens in this game. Man I would LOVE to see that actually.

The only time a shuttle holding a plethora of bookmarks was discovered was with a BOB shuttle, and BOB defended that it was an inactive member who moved all of his stuff [through a battlefield]
I'm sure I could find the post and bring back some discussion about BOB lag tactics if you want me to
The only lag tactic Goons have been accused is bringing in numbers, failling to notice that it just means we more people want to be a part of our alliance than yours. Rookie ships can still tackle, and keeps ennemy support busy killing ships that cost us practically nothing.
Let's not forget that it was a WANG newbie that uncloaked shrike's titan, else there would be no bob titan kill. You think we're going to stop? Keep dreaming.

I can recall when the 8/10 bug was all over the forums, several RA members kept posting how they had known about it for months and since nothing had been done to fix it, they believed the bugged overseers were ok. No, RA have not played the game 'more or less fairly'. Those plexes gave them far more game-shaping power than the handful of T2 BPOs BoB had from T20, the only reason BoB's case was such an uproar is due to a dev being involved.
Now maybe RA didn't exploit those plexes, but lets be honest, there weren't RA members in the 8/10 systems 24/7 just because of the pretty backdrops.

Good thing there has never been a large number of bugged complexes in BoB territory that they have exploited then

Those plexes were reported and immediately removed - a substantial loss to BoB's income. They were also making a tiny, tiny fraction of what the 8/10s were making.
Oh, and to those of you with short memories, you can add to the months-long farming of the 8/10s the use of carriers and exhumers as bottomless haulers and constant use of co-ordinatated logons and logoffs.
Quote: So have they fixed those bugged trade routes that BoB were funding titans with yet?
Those trade routes are not bugged, they work as intended. A little overpowered with the introduction of the titans, maybe, but not bugged. They were also not funding titans with them, they probably just covered the weekly fuel bill. IIRC - it would take 5-6 months of running those routes to pay for a titan.

I hate Band of Brothers, but I think the corp theft thing is terrible.
And to everyone gloating over this theft, remember this can happen to anyone. Realize the months, and maybe years, of work that can be destroyed to lame tactics like this. Honorless and pathetic.
Even though BoB used similar underhanded methods to kill D2's titan, I am still angry at the idea of corp theft. Simply appalling.

Judging by the usual course of action by other game developing companies. The development and support team usually do not feel the need in fixing a problem which isn't there.
Shame, you almost make it sound so believable too.

it is not conspiracy theory as you intend to picture it as. conspiracy theorists usually involve lots of people acting in coordination up to the point where 1/2 of world being involded. in such cases yes, occam razor has some work to do.
in this particular case however, only few people needed to act and no one had to lie. someone from high command to give FL the roles, FL to take stuff, someone to report him to the GM (which needs not to be involved) and that is it. add a few hinting posts on boards and it's done and done. no need for global conspiracy here.
it all comes to believing only one man - the FL himself. yes he told the truth about initial steal. but then what happened? why did it happen? we don't know - have to guess. no one from bob would even tell us if the stuff were returned. most people think he kept the stuff, and will at somepoint sell or use it, or just leave it lying there forever. but it is only the assumptions which you might make if you wanted and which is based on nothing except for stereotypical image of some random thief... oh well believe in what you want to, I don't care.

Yeah but here you think log on traps and using exhumers and carriers as haulers is exploiting which is so painfully stupid that you disqualify yourself from ever having a valid point in regards to arguing game mechanics.
Oh yeah, And BoB did not report the bugged complexes immediately, they were there for god knows how long until a FIX member blew the whistle on them. But hey, Let's just talk **** some people will be dumb enough to believe it right?

BoB had the exact same situation with complexes in their space and went so far as to tell everyone they were bugged in a way that caused them to drop no loot, when in reality they respawned MUCH faster than they were supposed to. (2 hours? I don't recall exactly)
It only came to light when RA started running the complexes and a FIX member posted about the bug on the forum. Good timing with that one right?

You get a A+ for twisting the truth, as I was there on TS when it was said I will spell it out for you just because I feel nice today: The plexes were petitioned as bugged, the GMs then answered that it was NOTHING wrong with them and the farming commenced, so shut up troll and crawl back in your cave. -
