I have been kicked over 20 times now, during a huge fleet fight. I thought it was fleet lag, but afterwards it kept happening, even on an alt. Not sure wtc.

Ditto as above, with the added fun of being unable to detect the server afterwards, ping plotter is also telling me the server if fine.

Same'ol, Same'ol, My only question is: what could we all have in common that could be causing the problems. Even tho Im pretty sure it's CCP's side.
South East,UK. ISP: 2mb, Tiscali.
For whatever relevance it could have!? |

Patch didnt solve my problem yet. Sent a petition, I bet they'll ask me for a dxdiag file, as usual... My system didnt changed though. I suspect this has to do with the same old database issues. Some immediate disconnections happened after trying to access data within the game, like market, char info and stuff like that. I also remember other players complaining about the same issue on my first months... Could this be cyclic?

Damn :(
I had hopes that it would fix my issues, but I dont think it will. This is pretty frustrating. Even one character logged in is a problem, 2 is not even worth the bother.

Nope, problem still exists.
Disconnected 3 times in less than 15 minutes. This is beyond a joke.

Yeah, client message: TQ crashed due to a database issue. ETA for startup will be announced shortly.

Me too: I was actually starting to salvage items - and am, obviously, still in space - when the connection was lost Whether the connection gets restored before I have go out in RL anyway is debatable - lost ship, lost items, possible horrible death, and loss of bonus for completing mission (I hadn't turned it in, as there *was* plenty of time to salvage before doing so) beckons...
Hmmm...

Everything was working fine for my 2 clients until 3 (now) patches ago.
Now I get dced randomly. I can play with hours with no problem or a few minutes with continuews problems.
I've disabled antivirus program, firewall and every other background task I could with no result.
Every other connection to the internet works during those disconects except eve client.
I've tryed also to play with only one clien running but still the same problem. I was thinking that maybe CCP didn't like the idea of us running 2 clients at the same time but that is obviously not the case.
CCP is not responding to this issue which only makes things worst as it implies that they know the problem but don't have the slightest clue how to fix it and I am sure it's related to the second revelations patch they've applies as I never had this sort of problem before it.
I don't know which are the devs working for CCP but after playing a year this game it appears to me they have no clue about what stability is about. Perhaps you should consentrate on making the game playable before adding more and more thingies to it?
I've stopped doing lvl3 and lvl4 missions 'cause of this disconnect issue. Even mining is a problem now. |

Well my problem seems to be fixed. How did I do it? Well, like I stated before, I plugged my laptop directely into the cable modem and had no disco issues what so ever, so I decided to by a new router. I bought a Linksys wireless N MIMO router and have had no problems.
I wonder how many of you are playing through a router (either wireless or not, because my issue was disconnecting me earlier whether I was going wireless or wired THROUGH the router).
Maybe something they had in a patch caused some older routers to have some hiccups in keeping a consistent connection to the server. My old wireless router wasn't that ancient (wireless G DLink) but my issues were resolved when I switched it out.

I'm being disconnected after about 5 minutes of idling (leaving the client open in the background). The message "Connection to server terminated" will pop up after my idling whenever I try to retrieve information from the server (doing a show info on someone), or sending information (trying to type something in chat).
My ISP is Virgin Media (NTL), and I'm on a 4MB Cable connection with a Linksys WRT54GL router and running only one client. This only happens if I am not actively sending information to the server for an extended period of time.

yup just had it twice more (which nearly cost me a ship, again).
my isp is nildram, who are owned by pipex, who i think are owned by tiscali. so basically tiscali are really ****ing up their own portfolio with this.

enough is enough it been 8 pages now, where are the devs in put in this thread? And im not talking about the crap they replied on page 2 about pinging servers, people have long sinced pinged servers and submitted bug reports and all is fine, no lag/packetloss, yet still disconnects.
i want to know from anyone with knowledge, could this be related to our issue? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233
and could checksumload have anything to do with the problems we are having?

and also connection to the server was closed also now a the same time.
who closed the connection? Why was it closed? CCP we need better error handling, you need better error handling. Please give us a special debug client to run or something so we can get these who what where when why questions solved.

I finally get an answer on the audio dc'ing issue, which on numerous occasion was said to be an audio problem server side.
I even send in my petition dxdiag they requested it clearly showed not any problwms on my side.
I still get the crap as$ responce the logs show nothing so we can't reinburse you?????
It's weird when an ISD and CCP employee tells you to disable your sound because eve audio is bugged and they are looking into the issue. That they still try to pass the blame on the players computer or blame the damn logs....
Quite lame CCP

So let's see what we have here.
We have people experience the exact same symptoms with Eve Online, who can still use the internet fine for everything else including multiplayer games.
We have people like me, who've replaced all wires, bought new filters, formatted the hard drive, tried it on different computers, and still get the same issue. Number bug reports submitted, dxdiag, logservers
And nothing from CCP, really a developer doesn't have the post here, but what about the QA technician, what about the Wrangler community manager guy?
Why can't we get some sort of response saying this is being taken care of. Why is there no phone support?
Why am I getting Gm's messaging me once every 5 days telling me try x or y with my computer when I have told them over and over that I formatted the damn thing, and that the problem started even though I had not changed any settings.
If this problem affected their precious euro user base like it did couple years back, they would get off their asses and do something. But who cares about 200 people or so (maybe more who haven't posted here) when you've got 50K trial accounts.

Well maybe this thread should be in general discussions forums since they clearly don't know there is a problem, or they know about it and can't fix it and don't want to inform u of that fact. My disconects start 2 patch's ago. I haven't bothered posting cause I've seen how much they care HA HA. For all the people that do post there are twice as many that don't. It's just not worth going thru the hassle of finding out what u already know. THEY DON'T CARE

so no, their not doing anything. - you'd think theyd talk to the isp(s) and work it out between them, wouldn't you ?

well in the entire week I seem to have continuos drops also... with so many people complaining about connection drops, this might not be a ISP problem. ISP technicians already came to my home and changed the cable modem ( just in case ) but the problem persists... , already lost ships because of that also... It's annoying
