For what it's worth, I can sit online for 8 hours and never get kicked off. Usually I just am logged on for 3-4 hours, no disconnects unless it's a problem with my local cable modem such as the cable is completely out.
System; AMD K5-750Mhz 512MB RAM ATI Radeon 7500 Windows 2000 SP4
--- yes, I know - upgrade... I have 3 other PC's. That's just the system in the bedroom which is more convenient. It plays Eve just fine.

what what it's worth
-------------------email from isp----------- Hi xxxx Thank you for sending in the results for the traceroute Having looked at the pathpings you sent into us, it is evident that you are gettting packet loss, but this appears to be occuring from I.P 87.237.38.199 to 87.237.38.200. Clearly this is not on our network but between the two I.P addresses which do not belong to Nildram. Routing traffic is not relevant here as the issue lies with the I.P addresses in question, as this is where the packet loss appears to be occuring.
so its back with CCP. ... like playing frikking tennis.

Ok guys and gals since 2 patches ago I've been having constant dc's. I stumbled across a fix for me don't know if it will help anyone else. Yesterday I started up my computer and couldn't contect to the internet at all, checked my mbps and found it at 10 mbps which it usally runs at 100 mbps so I rebooted my sys and still it was the same. I changed my D-link router out for a Linksys and I've been playing ever since. I'm not saying this could help u just that it fixed my problem. GL

Up until the last patch I was running eve just fine, but now it seems that ever 45-50 minutes my game will just randomly crash. Granted I'm just a miner so it does'nt matter as much, the missing loads of ore are starting to get annoying however.

Well, we can add another to the list I have been having the same problem over the lsat few days. After 3 or 4 mins I get connection to server lost message. I have been away from Eve for 18 months and just re-activated my 2 accounts. Unless this gets sorted i will be off again. Come on CCp this is a mature game and we shouldn't be getting these sort of issues now.

Hey Im back to Eve for a month and I keep getting connection lost notes.
Its really weird, sometimes works 4 hours, sometimes only 30 min. When suddenly Eve stops responding i know where i am. So at that time i checked how is my connection, it was all allright, i could connect to web site no problem. Seems like only Eve client stops receiving connection or what??? And when I restart client, it still doesnt detect an online server. I have to wait a couple of minutes.
Its very very annoying, anybody know if i can fix this?

ok, I just want someone to answer this question for me.
1) are you the only one using the internet connection? 2) are you using wireless? (I find that using wire, i don't get dropped, but with wireless, I DO?) 3) try to defrag.

For my part, I doubt very much it has anything to do with my ISP or anything in between here and ccp.
When I lose connection, the game doesn't crash to desktop right away. Usually, when I suspect something is wrong, I open my wallet. If my isk shows the correct amount, then I am still connected. If it remains to zero, then I know I have been disconnected and that I will be crashing to desktop soon.
But, even when I know I am losing my connection, when my wallet does not update or that I cannot recieve any info from the market or recieve any data from anything, I can still chat...The chat server still works for a few minutes after everything else has stopped working.
I'm not a network genius, but doesn't that indicate something? If it was my ISP, I wouldn't recieve anything I think.
btw, I live in Canada and have been having this connection lost problem ever since I came back. I am not a Tiscali user, nor eclipse, and my traceroute does not show them being used on the way.
Also, I do not have a router and am using cable.
I find it very strange to see how this thread lives on without any word from any official. It is quite disturbing.
Anyway. I did the only safe thing to do. My subscription is canceled and if the matter persists untill the end of the billing cycle, it will remain that way for a while. It is a shame tho. I really like the game.

Same problem here. Everything working normally, except eve (Can't connect at all last 2 days) and eve mon keeps telling me the server is down, then online, then down again.
Can we get a responce from CCP on this? Theres clearly something up here, and some comformation would be nice, even if its just "We are looking into it".

K it wasnt that bad be4 but now its starting to bug me, i couldnt fuel my pos correctly or chat. Im not gonna dare to do missions for a while which sucks for my wallet.
Im using At&t in Florida,Usa. I have been for a while now, never had dc problems till recently. (1-2 weeks i think) I can play sometimes 3 hours, sometimes 20mins, and sometimes i dc the moment i log in.
I did the trace, and here it is. Ill try and send in my dxdiag/logs after this maybe they find something....

ECLIPSE ISSUES ARE CORRECTED
This is a nice detailed email from Eclipse Technical Support that I recived Just now.
EVE Online traffic was being mis-classified as P2P traffic in some circumstances for some customers and incorrectly managed across our network, this is not specific to any transit provider and was not based on communications port, ie: 26000 was not being specifically throttled.
Our Network Engineers have implemented a fix which will stop all EVE Online traffic for all customers from being mis-classified and we are also liaising with our Hardware suppliers to have this issue addressed in subsequent maintenance releases.
Thank you for your patience while we resolved the issue.
Regards,
Autumn
