3 accounts 3 years and if this dropped connection issue is not resolved soon CCP can shove all 3 account ...Well you know were.
contacted isp,D-Link,and modem manufacturer and no response from ccp I have had it!!!!!

Same here, i cannot idle more than 5 minutes without beeing disconnected...
Edit: But only if i am logged in 0.0 Space, in Empire no Problems...

I also get disconnects on my accounts every 5 minutes, never had this issue with any other online games. It only occures when there is no activity i.e, not moving my char, noone moving in the same area as me (mining) so i'm guessing the game is just dropping the connection if there is no data transfering.
One way I have got around this is to add the Eve-Radio chat, as there are soo many people messaging there is never a connection drop. The only problem is that window needs to be in view and can be distracting.

I have this problem as well, some days are better then others. Today it was real bad, so i went into my routers Config page (its a Dlink) and they have a gameing mode , I enabled it and so far it works great but I am going to wait a week before I belive this might be a real fix for it

I have got the same problem; random disconnects with two accounts on two different computers. Most of the time both accounts disconnect at the same time, sometimes only one. There seems to be no rule of thumb here. After disconnect I cannot connect for 1 - 2 minutes, but this is not always the case as well.
Disconnections happen sometimes after 5 minutes and sometimes after 2 - 3 hours, but they happen frequently and I was really lucky to loose no ship yet.
It is really annoying  and I hope is going to be fixed within the next patch.

Still having issues, was fine yesterday until evening, then started again, random, frequent.
Today, one comp has no issues, other (main comp) the client crashes out, no error nothing, just gone, poof.
Change is bad! |

This is happening to me too now, every 5 minutes or so. Which means I can't leave the station safely. Ever.

Well I just had a rather long talk with Comcast, which is one of the US's largest ISPs. What came out of this was; that there were no issues on my end, but there are issues several hops down the line.
I have a trouble ticket open and Comcast said they will be contacting the server aka CCP and researching it further. In comcasts quest for great customer support this "petition" will be responded to within 24 hours.
so hopefully I'll be able to play the game again sometime soon.....maybe
FYI this problem started for me 2 days ago, and I can't idle for more then 3 minutes or I get dropped.

I have fixed my "lost connection" problem. I was running my internet (DSL) through an older Belkien 54G router. Keep in mind, this router has never had a problem up until last week. I would lose connection to eve whether I was using the PC (wired) or the wireless laptop. I took the router out of the equation and have had zero drops in the last few days. I've tried resetting the router, but nothing seems to work. I will have to buy a new router...regardless, the router was the problem for me. Curious to know if CCP has a router compatibility list or something much like microsoft does for xbox live...?

well sadly enuf Comcast has yet to offer me an answer....
On a side note, keeping the "Help Channel" open seems to be a fix as far as i can tell. It is a shame though that CCP can't offer me a fix that doesn't involve yet another chat channel clutter up my screen......
the fact that having a channel with near constant activity solves the issue leads me to believe that this falls soley on CCPs lap.

Since day before yesterday, when I activated eve voice to listen in on the live devblog, I ve had my clinet drop out every 2-5 minutes when idling, sometimes in the middle of a chat even. It just dropps me to the login screen with the message that the connection to server was lost.
I have two monitors and run the forums on the other one and when this happens, it seems the forums become unresponsive as well.

i get DCed every day at least 3 times.
My i.net works, messenger too, just EVE looses connection to server, then i must close EVE window and reopen it, wait for 15secs and EVE finds TQ again..

This is still a problem CCP... Fix it please. Some of us get disconnected a few times an hour, some a few times a day. It is on YOUR end, too many people in too many different situations are experiencing this. Please fix it soon.

Still can't connect to server. Here's how it is to me...
5/10 times i get ...checking status --->unknown (even though my connection is fine)
2/10 times i get ...Ok, XXXX players online ---> blank character selection screen that does nothing
2/10 times i get ...Ok, XXXX players online ---> normal character selection screen that does nothing when i click on my character.
1/10 times (probably less) i can get on the server and play normally but only from 1min - 1hr before i have to start all over again.
The times when i can't connect seem to last from 1hr to 4hrs at a time. VERY FRUSTRATING!
I have just (last night) bought the game and subscribed. WHAT AN IDIOT! i really think ccp should fix this. i have posted numerous times with my ping trace and of course had no useful replies.
CCP PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS BEFORE DOING ANYMORE 'GAME TWEAKING'! some of us (quite a few by the sounds of it) can't even log in and play.

I just started having constant server disconnects yesterday. I also time out on this forum every few minutes. The main site and every other site on the internet works fine, though.
It could be my college's crap internet, who knows. :/

Constant disconnects on all my comps today.
Again, I wanted to play but CCP doesn't care.
No game is worth this aggravation. I quit WOW and EQII when this started to happen. To bad I'm paid up for the year. CCP: Any chance of a refund?
Anyone know any good games without connection problems?

Had a nice 3hrs of game play today !!! v rare, but again I'm disconnected and left in space to die. I've been trying to connect for last 30mins, no joy.
Again mostly i get a blank character selection screen with no way to continue, or i get mycharacter but it wont load.
PLEASE SORT THIS OUT, we love your game but this is getting silly.

ticket to ccp resulted in them blaming isp.
contacted isp (roadrunner/time warner) after many pointless emails they have bumped me to a " connection specialist " whos only specialty is ignoring email.
I have found that if I click on/load player portraits about 1-2/minute I can stay connected....

Well, I'm getting those kind of problems too! I get disconnected often, VERY often. And the thing is...I've actually STARTED to pay for this game! My internet work just fine. I can play EVERY game on the internet, I can go ON ANY sites too. So THAT means that's definitly NOT my ISP. It's getting frustrating, i've lost my ship TWICE because of something like that.

Same again today, rediculous number of disconnects. Friends machine on this network: 1 account no disconnects at all and 2nd account on same machine only connects for minutes at a time.
My 3 accounts are all dropping after a few minutes, can't get anything done. Patience is completely gone now.

Still an issue, don't stop, don't grab a soda, don't take care of bio issues, don't stop chatting in alliance, DON'T STOP PERIOD.....or you will be dropped from the server.
Is there anykind of response that doesn't blame every ISP on the face of the planet or tell us to file bug reports.
