Oh jeez, did you really just ask for a ETA? What do you think you are, his IRL IT customer and he has to make deadlines or meet some SLA? Back off. He says he's working on it. It'll be done when it's done. If he had a timeframe for completion in mind, I'm pretty sure he would have mentioned it. In the mean time, don't act like you're paying for this and have customerly-expectations.
Well that escalated quickly.
Why jump down his throat? He only asked. He doesn't have to give an ETA if he doesn't want to of course, or he can. It's up to him, but there's no harm in asking. I too would like a rough ETA. Lots of people are waiting and with no ETA would you wait forever? If an ETA is 1 weekish - great, if it's a monthish then OK, if he turns around and says 6month, at least you'd know to try something else.
Of course, if you don't ask and he doesn't give a rough ETA, then you could be waiting forever. ATM, all we know is he's working on it and it could be done between the next 2 seconds and the next 2 millennium. Personally I am waiting, but I've got my own ISK per hour sheet up and running while I wait. There's a lot of people that would be completely lost without the IPH tool.
TLDR: There's nothing wrong with asking for an ETA. Demanding **** = bad. Asking = fine. |

Comprehend my post ******, I didn't demand something and I only want to know rough ETA, and nothing is written on stone here.

I just installed it. As soon as I clicked the button in the Select Default Character window, the system tells me that an unhandled error occurred and closes the program. I use Windows Vista Business. |

Yes, if you have the choice, I recommend Windows 7. It's Vista the way it should have been done. |

The program is currently being upgraded to work with Crius. If you browse backwards a bit in the thread it is a known bug. damn it is hard to delete my signature |

Thanks for all your hard work! I can't wait to see the updated IPH once it comes out. Going back to excel, as much as I love excel, has reminded me how great your program is. |

BTW, Zifrian, don't put to much effort into recalculating the values of all of our Blueprints since they standardized them to have a max ME of 10 and PE of 20. If I have re-enter all of my blueprint data to make the program complete even a week earlier, then I'm totally willing to put up with it. Recalculating the values must be crazy complicated anyways, so don't worry about it :). |

And while my solution handles 90% of what IPH does plus a few things I want that it doesn't, I'm still praying for an update -- because every time I look at my kludge it makes my eyes bleed.

I know what you mean. I used Android here, but not the pretty kind. I've violated so many best-practices when cobbling it together... It's a monstrosity. |

A really great tool!
I do have one improvement suggestion - when selecting the list of blueprints to calculate the profitability, can we have some tick option to select only blueprints that have BPOs? Knowing that creating Gnosis would make me a bajillion IPH is great and all, but it's not all that useful if I have to find a BPC on the market. I like looking for reliable income with BPOs, rather than having to chase down BPCs for various factional or limited run items. Having that option in would be great!
By the way, are you on https://www.bountysource.com/ ? I would gladly put in some money to have some features and improvements to your tool ;). |

I'm fine with that but it just takes longer to complete. I haven't had to rewrite everything but the main code that does all the blueprint work needs a complete overhaul. It all pays for gametime, which costs real money at some point so I just see it as a fungible transfer. Anyway, thanks everyone. I'll post again when I have more info. Now back to work!
