Hello Again! I've updated EVE IPH to version 2.0.
Note: If you choose to upgrade, the installer will uninstall your old version of EVE IPH. Version 1 of EVE IPH is no longer supported.
(Jump to patch notes for this version: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=727315#post727315)
For those of you who do not know what EVE IPH does, it is an industry program that takes your characters' information from the customizable EVE API, pricing from EVE Central, and volume data from EVE Marketeer and couples that with every blueprint in the game from the EVE Datadump to show you the best Isk per Hour for Any Blueprint, Reactions, Datacores, and Mining. In short, EVE IPH is all about options to determine how you can make ISK in EVE the way you want to do it.
Here are some screenshots for the program:
https://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=547784
The installer, binaries, and patch notes are here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/eveiph/files/
EVE IPH 2.0 utilizes the following 5 access mask data: - Public Information: Standings - Private Information: Character Sheet (for skills) - Private Information: Asset List - Science and Industry: Research - Science and Industry: IndustryJobs
Please be sure to have these checked in the API you enter into EVE IPH or you will not be able to access all the features.
Basic descriptions of what each tab does:
Blueprints - In this tab you can select any blueprint in the game and it will tell you the materials required for building it, the time it will take to build, if you can build the item, and profit/IPH calculations. If the item is T2, it will calculate the invention cost and add it to overall cost calcs, if the item is T3, it will calculate the reverse engineering cost and profitability relative to other items that you could get from the relic. You can also adjust the data for blueprint copies for T2 items.
Update Prices - This is where you can import prices for items from EVE Central for region(s) or systems. Everything in the program uses these prices. They are cached for every 6 hours for the area you set.
Datacores - Basically a quick way to figure out what datacores will get you the most isk based on your standings and skills.
Reactions - A table to determine the most profitable reactions per hour. Buttons to ignore prices (mine from pos/gas harvest), buy from market, and refining for alchemy.
Manufacturing - This tab is where you can run comparisons of different items in the game for determining the most profitable item to make. For example, if you have all the frigate BP's for making Assault ships, you can run them here and see what decryptors are better to use and find out where to spend your time for the most isk. Select types in the BP filter area, and refresh the list to see if that's what you want to calculate. Select options in calculate to filter results after calculations are complete. This tab will also display different sorting options such as profit, profit %, IPH, and Sales Volume Ratio (SVR) - the ratio of total sales divided by the number of units you can make in a day. The larger this number, the easier to sell, and SVR * IPH to show best profit that will sell fastest. Note: these calculations might take a while to run based on the options you choose.
Mining - This tab allows you to input associated mining skills, set up a fleet booster, and refining data to calculate how much Isk per Hour you make from mining.
Other Screens: * Shopping List - Enables you to view multiple items in a list to export to eve for trade runs * Manage Blueprints - Scan your assets and set ME/PE information * Character Skills - override skills to test out items you can't make/invent/re yet * Research Tower - Allows you to set up a research tower to calculate how much copies and other research will cost per hour * Research Agents GÇô Shows the agents that you are currently earning research points with in game
===================================================================================
Please put bug/feature comments here or EVE mail me in game.
I hope you find the program useful and can help me make it better.
Thanks!
=================================================================================== Known Issues:
* The window size is by design and does not allow Maximization at this time. I am working to allow this feature soon. * Faction items (e.g. Caldari Navy Shield Boost Amplifier) are in the price update tab but will not retrieve prices from EVE Central (they do not exist there). Working to import prices from an alternate source. * The Manufacturing and Update Prices Table do not allow sorting by clicking on the columns. This is by design. Patch notes for Version 2.0
Build 2.0.4411.24713
New Features:
NO MORE ACCESS REQUIRED
- EVE IPH now uses SQLite instead of Access so you no longer need to update with data access objects
- This fixes issues with 64bit Office Installations
- As a bonus, you should see faster queries
- As a non-bonus, you will need to install a new non-Access version and any saved data will be lost
Updated to latest Cruicible DB and Images
- Version Cruicible_1.1_334471
Binary Install
- You can now run IPH from the same folder allowing for a binary install
Settings Files
- Users can now save settings for all the main screen tabs
- Select 'Restore Default Tab Settings' from the Settings menu to restore program tab default selections
Research POS Settings
- Users can select a POS and associated Laboratories to calculate the cost per hour for ME, PE, Invention, and Copies
- Research POS Settings can use Fuel blocks or materials to build fuel blocks from blueprints
- T2 blueprints can now use POS values for calculating copy costs and including them into the total costs
Sales Volume Ratio (SVR)
- In the manufacturing tab, sales data is now downloaded to calculate the approximate number of items sold per day and then divided by the amount of items you can produce in a day. If the resulting number is large, you will have a better time selling it.
- Added sorting options for SVR and SVR * IPH in the manufacturing tab
Research Agents
- With the correct API access, you can now view current research agents and associated data as in game to compare to Datacore screen.
Mining Tab
- Added mining tab to calculate isk per hour for Ore and Ice
- Settings will save for Ore and Ice separately
- Jump fuel costs - You can determine how much jumping your ore or minerals back to empire will cut into your IPH
- Hauler - No alt? No problem: Just approximate how long it takes you to run back and forth to station to drop off your ore and the m3 of each trip to calculate IPH
Shopping List
- Users can now delete items from the shopping list
- The shopping list is no longer a dialog form and will update data when new items are added if open
- Exporting data from the shopping list will now export in the order sorted on screen
- Prices will now update in the shopping list if data is there when you update prices
Other updates/Bug fixes
- You can now select all Raw mats or all Manufactured items with one check on the Update Prices screen
- You can now import prices for raw mats by max buy price, and items by min sell by checking the "Select Max Buy for Raw Mats, Min Sell for Items"
- Fuel block blueprints are now included with 'Structures' for Pricing, Manufacturing, etc
- You can now limit agents by region or sovereignity
- You can now include Reverse Engineering times to T3 production
- Double clicking on an item in the Manufacturing Tab will now take you to the Blueprints Tab and load the selected blueprint
- Checking on ignore boxes will now reset the calculation button
- Calculations will now ignore blueprints that are not Owned
- Subsystem profitability will now be calculated for T3 items in the Blueprint Screen
- Moving the copy slider in the Invention Copies tab will now update time and price when selected
- Data put on Clipboard will now remain after program is closed
- Production time will now calculate correctly with the number of blueprints, lines and runs entered
- CSV exports will no longer contain commas in data with prices
- The minimum broker fee is 100 isk

Tower settings need a place to select charters and the type of charters needed. Cost per slot needs a way to input in the number of active slots.
It would be nice if this could could tie back into blueprints to give a cost per level of ME/PE. An ISK per hour calculator where I could input a contracts sale price with start and end ME/PE levels for a selected blueprint would be helpful. A way to do the same with copyslots would be helpful (though that is probably non-complex enough to do easily with a spreadsheet).
For the hub systems, is there any way to set a designated market alt and take their skills/standings into account?
Does this program take implants into account?
For T1 ships it would be nice to be able to compare the isk per hour for building off the print with the isk per hour of selling copies.

Big thanks for this! Lots of new features and "quality of life" changes to make using the program even easier. When checking for updates on my old version, I was provided a link to the website to download the new version, but clicking on it took me to the former required access DB page from microsoft.
Just thought I'd provide a bit of bug and feature related feedback:
-The Manufacturing list filters are very buggy. Couldn't get it to work until I added my own blueprints in the manager. "All BPO" filter doesn't work until you do a calculation of your own blueprints, then change the filter back to "All blueprints". Simply doesn't do anything until then.
As the above poster said the "Owned blueprints" filter is also odd. I have it showing my owned blueprints, plus every single T3 blueprint as well, which I do not own.
-Quote:* The window size is by design and does not allow Maximization at this time. I am working to allow this feature soon.
Window does indeed allow maximization, but the actual contents of the program in the window do not resize with it.
I tried to "reset stored blueprint data" in the manage blueprints menu option, in an attempt to resolve my blueprint issues, and got this error:
Quote:An Unhandled Exception has occured and EVE Isk per Hour will now close. Please copy the data below for sending to developer.
Source: System.Data.SQLite Message: SQLite error near "#01": syntax error
Also, please fill out the following information as appropriate:
Operating System: Screen or Tab where Error Occurred: Steps to reproduce the Error:
Really love the changes to the price window - much less clicking required and much easier!
Something I personally would love to see: on the blueprints tab, when typing in the name of something, it fills in as you go, much like EVE MEEP does. Also so you can type in a full(or partial name if it finds the item you want), maybe just hit down arrow to select it, then hit enter to bring up the info on the blueprint you selected. So: click on blueprint box, type in "medium cargo" , at this point I'd get a dropdown that contained the only 2 items with "medium cargohold" in the name - the T1 and T2 rigs. I could now press down arrow once to get the t1 BP, and twice for the T2 one. Pressing enter would confirm my selection and the blueprint page would update. I think that'd be great.
Thanks again for this awesome program! |

I'm not seeing this. I changed it to only show T2 items you can make from T1 owned items, and all T3 items since they are all copies. Play around with options to see what you can come up with and let me know specifically what to look at and I'll try and track down what you are seeing.

I decided not to include charters for now, but will later. They aren't a huge part of POS costs so the difference is negligible right now but I'll add it soon.
The ME/PE values for each slot will be added in later. I have some ideas to use that info already but it's similar to what you have suggested.
You can include other accounts and characters, but no way to tie them together yet.
Implants are all under the settings form. I have spots for Manufacturing, Refining, and Copying.
On T1 ships, interesting idea. I'll look into it. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

See my above reply. I'll double check what you say about All BPO filter first. I'm not seeing any issues right now. But if you don't want to see T3 items in owned, then uncheck the T3 selection. You can also check the 'Only include items I can RE' to filter it further.

Heh, yeah that's not supposed to be implemented yet. I'm working on making the grids size with maximization, etc but it's not done yet. Trying to figure out a way to get it to work functionally but it's a pain.

Based on the above feedback, just put up the following changes.
Build 2.0.4411.33303
- The message that pops up when updating version 1 of IPH will now take you to the download page.
- Selecting All Blueprints with default settings was selecting data that did not exist. This has been fixed. If this happens again, try changing the Item Type Filter to "All Types" or nothing and try again.
- Users can no longer maximize the main window. This will be possible in a later update (and much more useful).
- Users can now reset all blueprints on the Blueprint Management page.
- T3 items will no longer show up in Owned Blueprints on the Blueprint Management page unless they are marked as owned in Blueprint Management.

Can you add a where is this BPO feature? According to the import I have a number of BPOs that don't show up in assets. They're probably in a container somewhere (these are minor things like T1 nanofiber), but it's going to drive me nut until I track them down.
Edit- the autoupdates feature is not working for me. I'm getting a can't find file to download error. |

Steps to reproduce - In "Ore Location", only set "Minmatar Space" - Press Caclulate - ERROR: Response is "Must select an Ore Space" - Untick "Minmatar Space" so none are selected - Press calculate - CRASH
I think you messed your error logic there somewhere.

Estimate BPC Copy Costs only seems to work for Caldari (and Guirista) towers.
Steps to reproduce - Open Manufacturing tab, - Open the 'Set POS Setting' window, - Select Amarr/Gallente/Minmatar tower, any size - Cost Per Hour (and other costs) are 0.00 - Select Caldari (or Guirista) and it shows non-0 cost per hour |

SVR numbers feel low. Are you maybe counting the current day as a full day when doing the average? Either that or the low volume on Mondays and Tuesdays is throwing the average for the rest of the week. |

Edit-Calculate average price strikes me as dangerous. I want to know the average price but I also want to know how things look in Jita right now.
-edit3: Although some way to know how much above or under 180 day average a products current price is would be quite handy.
-edit4: Of course if you do that you might as well flag products where current supply is a standard deviation away from average supply. That would allow for detection of both spikes and gluts. The SVR is just an approximation. There isn't enough data out there to be precise. So far what I've seen, it's pretty much what the game is like. All the data is not calculated by me other than taking the average sales per day and dividing by the amount of items you can make in a day. The data given by EVE Marketeer is over 30 days (or whatever day you choose) and I don't have any control over that. As far as volume in Jita right now, the API doesn't allow for that. If he changes it and I can use it, I'll update it.
One thing that is missing from several programs is to see how well an item will sell. I've made tons of crap that sold for great profits but took me months to move. I'm not interested in that, however some others actually might be. This is an attempt to give this type of data but it's not meant to replace market experience. Would I be rich and powerful, I would give you half my money for that. With the previous version I was able to construct a manufacturing plan capable or racking up 1B per month - which multiplied my initial investment by ten. I've been using your program for 2 months now and I have to say it's really saving me a lot of time and work I would have to do otherwise. After beating the crap out of excel sheets and thinking about putting together a similar project I came across yours and I'm really happy that I didn't have to do it myself ;-) I think there will be some isk left within the next couple of days after paying for the game time which will go to your wallet then, really appreciate your work.
This said, I got some bugs bothering me since 2.0 came out yesterday. It's almost always crashing the program with this message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I'm working with windows 7 professional, 64bit.
The first one which I could identify can be reproduced as follows:
1. Get a price update (if you haven't already earlier) 2. Select any blueprint in the "Blueprint" tab 3. Click the "Add to shopping list" button 4. Go back to the "Update Price" tab 5. Import prices again 6. Program crashes
Hope this can get fixed anyhow, I really like to check prices in different regions and look how much I can save buying there. The need to rebuild the shopping list after each price update is really annoying.
Cheers mate

Feature Request: Set prices based multiple trade hub systems
Rational: A manufacturer may be willing to visit several trade hubs to buy/sell at a better price. It s not that hard to visit a few trade hubs, but its a lot harder to track down and visit the cheapest systems from multiple regions, especially if you have a long shopping list.
Detail: In the 'update prices' tab, allow multiple trade hub systems to be selected, so if 'minimum sell' price import type was selected, the final price would be the minimum price from all the selected trade hubs (systems not regions).
Thanks

Plus: A reminder on a recommendation I made prior, can we get a method of tracking current manufacturing orders and a method for defining production "baskets", a group of BPOs that are typically produced together? |
