Bargain Bits wrote:Great little program this, helping me out no end. Well done and thank you. Not read the whole thread but a few additional tweaks that would make it great. (Apologies if these have been suggested or covered)
On the shopping list, the list of items to build (great this now has ME but not essential) but could this also show the raw/base cost of a single item. I currently copy/print screen on that page and save the batch of details so i can refer back to different batches i have in production and it would be awesome if at that point if i could see the cost of manufacture per item so I know how low I can go when selling. If It's easy to add maybe a few display check boxes on the shopping list screen to decide what is shown, E.g ME, Type (Components/Raw Materials) and Raw Cost per Item (Single Unit Price even if building 100 of an item it shows 1 unit price) and Total Item Raw Cost (price for each line in the items list, so single price x qty etc).
This has sort of been suggested before with batch processing or a batch monitor tool. Also someone did suggest having the buy at prices. Obviously if you are building a carrier, it's going to take a few weeks and the prices when you started are going to be different than at the end so you want to have an idea of what to sell at or maybe to wait till prices go up to what you bought them. I don't think this will be shopping list function just because this was intended to be a simple form, and that would make it more complex than it already is. I will probably go with the batch idea and have a separate form that stores history and such so you don't need to do screenshots but that'll be a bit before I get to it. I've been wanting something like this though since I'm doing more cap production so it might be sooner.
Bargain Bits wrote: The "Copy List" is useful but how about an HTML export (seen this in another manufacturing spread sheet) where it creates a nice little html index page and then each export creates it's own html output page of the shopping list. This can then be viewed through the IGB to make purchasing items easy.
This is a good idea. I was hoping for some functionality that I could just edit the in game note pad but this would be simpler and without all the constraints of the note pad. Plus you would have some history here too....so maybe it is a shopping list thing. lol

Im still not getting the right Total Item Production Time for carriers and freighters. Freighters production time still seems to be underestimated for a single production line and carrier production time in overestimated for multiple production lines. Eg. At ME0, PE0 everything, its giving me 24 days to produce a fenrir. But theres a total of 172 components to produce which each take 3.55 hours to produce. With one production line it should be 172*3.55 hours / (24hrs per day) for 25.4 days to just produce the components plus 11.83 days for the actual ship. The total production time is 37.23 days for a single freight but Im getting 24 days from your program. OK, thanks a bunch for watching this. You are right, I found something buggy with the way it calculates this time. It's not a simple fix and I need to spend some time with it. What you are seeing with the Fenrir is the time to make the 83 Cargo Bays added to the BP time. If you have more than 2 lines, you can make all the other parts in that time to make the cargo bays.
I'll get this corrected next week. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

This is my absolute favorite program for industry in Eve. Thank you so much for making this, it's spectacular.
I have, however, noticed a bug since the last patch. Every time I try to run the build/buy calculation in the blueprint tab, it only spits out (buy) instead of doing what is most profitable. This only started happening some time in the last day or so.
Again, thank you so much for making this program, it's absolutely ******* fantastic |

Again, thank you so much for making this program, it's absolutely ******* fantastic If you can post a screenshot, that would help but it might be related to a recent change where I won't suggest you build something if you don't own the bp. However, a setting has been added to turn this off. Go into settings, and Build Settings, then check 'Suggest Build Option when BP not owned'.
Let me know if that corrects the issue. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

Found an odd bug around removing items from the shopping list.
Repo (100% reproducable for me)
Open app Go to blueprints tab Select Void S, 40 runs, add to shopping list Select Null M, 40 runs, add to shopping list. Open shopping list. Click on the Null M in the Item List and click the 'Remove Item' button All items are removed from the shopping list, just leaving 40 Void S in the item list that apparently needs no materials, costs nothing and makes no profit.
Perhaps because the two items use the same materials in different quantities? |

That's the error that comes up when the program can't pull the versions file from the server to check for updates. Probably not a code/bug issue. If it's still happening, check your firewall maybe if you did a recent update. Either that or try downloading the new file from the website manually. If you can't do that then there is some connection issue between you and source forge.

The only thing i have in the the ship selection dropdown is 'other' Change the ship skill to 1 (or higher). This is a generic setting because it applies to the base ship skill and there were several different ships prior to this patch. There are now just two but this is still easier than adding a separate section for mining frig and mining barge.
That should all you need then the other ships will show up. You need to set the skill to 5 to enable the exhumers skill. I might play around with a different way to do it but for now that's what it is.

You should probably show all ships at all times and put the yield down to 0 if you dont have enough skills, would save a lot of confusion. |

ME/PE data isn't in the API, so I can't pull it from the assets. One of the biggest requests/complaints about the API.
Best option is to set them, then save them to a csv file in case you need to reload them in the future. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

Getting some reports that perhaps the minerals are off for some ships (nocxium).
The issue is with the data dump we get, which is yet again having issues and affects all 3rd party apps if they update to the newest version. We have brought this up a few times now and not much feedback as of yet. I will update when I get a confirmed data dump but we are not a priority it seems.
Also, there are two main known issues right now.
1 - The corp keys aren't working well with the industry jobs and invention tracker. I am working on this but it's related to a larger code re-write that I have been putting off for too long. Should be this weekend I hope.
2 - The total production time calculations are not exact for some items. For items where you have less components than your production lines, this won't affect your times (10 lines and making hobgoblin II's for instance). It's when you want to make a item like a Fenrir with only two production lines does it not calculate properly. The easy fix is to average the total component time with the number of lines you have and in the case of a Fenrir this works great because all the times are the same. However, with other items it will be close but not exact nor optimal.
Another solution is to find the smallest time for the number of possible build combinations there are but this takes a bit of work and may not be fast enough to be useful. This would/should be exact though and what I would like to do but I will tinker with it as soon as possible. I may go with the average first so that it is more accurate.
Anyway, wanted to update everyone, especially on the total production time issue since it can affect iph for some items.
Thanks

I'm able to select the ship now but the numbers seem to be way off. With 2 miner II's, T1 mining upgrade, Ship skill 3, mining 4 and astrogeology 3 the program is reporting a yield of 608/minute while in realty this is only 400/cycle |

Really enjoying this tool, thanks so much. Couple of questions:
I'm having issues with the blueprint manager, it keeps forgetting ME values I enter, it seems to keep going back to a certain version of my blueprint library after a while (may be associated with when an update happens). I've reset my blue print data and re imported from the api, hopefully it will keep my ME values after entering them manually in again.
Is there anyway to export a list of your BPs with the component cost associated with them? I'm looking to provide an alliance price list where I'll manufacture at low margins for alliance mates, trying to see if I can quickly export a cost of manufacturing list to use to keep my price list up to date.
Thanks again for the great tool and keeping it updated. |
