Just inquiring as to what your plans are around the SVR stuff, I assume it is coming from evemarketeer which is not being supported at the moment. Because of this, I assume it is the reason I always get the 'Unable to update all price volume data at this time' message and get next to no svr results in the manufacturing tab.
Will you be waiting it out until the site is supported again or changing your program to use another method?
Thanks, and also thanks for the contribution you make to the community and myself with your software.
Ken Yeah, I get the average volume data from EVE Marketeer.
I didn't know it wasn't being supported anymore but I'm not surprised by the amount of issues he had with it. I actually added an option to ignore SVR downloads to IPH due to issues with it. You can set this in the Program Settings. I noticed issues with it lately but hoped they would fix themselves. From the website it says September when he'll get back to it.
I'll look around for another option but I haven't been able to find anything that gave price averages like this did. Although it looks like EVE Market Data supports price volumes now. It also seems to support more than Jita prices too. So I'll look into that. EVE Central does not but I liked the stability, API for prices there, and the region/system variety. Apparently there are many unified uploaders now so the prices are all generally the same so this might work fine.
I'm open to any suggestions people have and will gladly look into them. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

I'm trying to build the "EVE Isk per Hour" from source (and not the DataDumpUpdater or Updater) and it seems that you have not checked several of the files into svn. It seems to be missing:
app.config EVEMarketDataAPI.vb frmMineMinerals.vb frmPatchNotes.vb
There is also a SavedOldCode.vb in the vbprj but as far as I can tell it is unused. I have tried to hack the code to do without the above files and I think they are needed.
Why was I attempting this? I was going to modify the code slightly to point it to my own market data that I collect out in null sec and add shipping costs for things I can't get out here. |

I really only use this to save a copy of the program in case my hard drive craps out (well and SF requires you to for hosting). Never really intended anyone to use my code. If I did, I would have done a better job writing it Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

I have been going through the code and it is not bad! Perhaps you just got a new dev to help you make it better. Or at least you can know that your backup is complete once I get my side working. No promises but we'll see... At the very least I'm forking it to see if I can make it work with a custom market dataset, which I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do.
I have been able to build and run the code successfully now (at least the EVE IPH component). I think I must have a newer version of Visual Studio because I was getting an initialization exception:
Quote:Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v2.0.50727' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information
Which is solved by adding
Quote: useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true"
into the configuration startup block of the app.config. What version of VB or Visual Studio are you using?
I'm getting very far and I can't quite run it in debug mode yet because I didn't allow the updater to run to create the SQLlite database. I tried to run the updater from the codebase and it was failing because I didn't have zipforge from componentace installed. A quick install of the trial version and I'm up and running.
Now I'm stuck at running the Updater and I'm getting this execption again like the main program:
Quote:System.IO.FileLoadException: Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v2.0.50727' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information. at EVEIPH_Updater.frmUpdaterMain.BGWorker_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument)
Which is what I was getting before with the main program, but the trick I tried to add useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true" to the startup argument to app.config is not working. Again, it might be the version of VS I'm using. Any ideas?

For zipforge and SQLite, just download the dlls in the binary files on the site. The SQLite was a bit annoying but you need the one that includes all the .Net 4.0 runtime installed. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

G'day Zifrian,
Firstly your application is great, it has saved me a lot of messing around and updating alot of spreadsheets.
IPH was working fine on my old computer, however having a problem using it on my new laptop. Everytime I go into POS edit I get the following error:
An Unhandled Exception has occured and EVE Isk per Hour will now close. Please copy the data below for sending to developer.
Source: System.Data.SQLite Message: SQLite error no such column: Mat Type
Also, please fill out the following information as appropriate:
Operating System: Windows 7 Screen or Tab where Error Occurred: POS Data Steps to reproduce the Error: Clicked on POS Data and/or Edit POS
Still works fine on old computer, and all the settings I can find are all the same.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Been using this alot and have run into an issue as of late and I was trying to look in to building a Charon but I am unable to tweak the ME of the BP to see the right price for building it. The other issue is sometimes it will show the build cost of an item as negative and include it in the profit of the item of building the item. (could only fix it after I reset the settings and as far as I could tell there was nothing checked off to cause this) |

The cost to build was negative and being counted as part of the profit. I cant seem to recreate the problem since I reset the settings. (I.E 20M to build supposed to be 80M profit after selling. It was counting it at -20M to build and 100M profit) |

Great tool, a few suggestions (Which maybe its just me using it wrong)
On the Blueprint Manager, when I select my Owned BPO's I then went in to add the ME/PE. I would click the box to select the BPO, set the ME and PE then click Update Selected. After this, all BPO's would be selected and I would have to click Uncheck All. I think this should be reversed, because if one gets in a hurry and forgets to "uncheck all", updates ME/PE and clicks Update Selected.....Well, you just updated everything. Make it a bit more "idiot proof" so to speak.
Also it would be nice if there was a Cost Per Unit field in the Blueprints tab so you can see what each unit costs as well as total component costs and total raw costs. Since ammo (for example) is sold at a per unit cost in the Market it would be nice to have this number on the Blueprints page to have a very quick "break even" point. As it is you have to see the total run costs and either divide it out OR tinker with the prices on the Update Prices tab to see how it affects your profit per hour. Sometimes I just want to know what my per unit cost is and thats good enough.
On the Update Prices tab, more selections. It would be great to have Charge Types. As someone who cranks out a fair bit of Missiles I hate loading "Charges" and sorting through all sorts of ammo that I dont make to get to my Missiles to update prices. Another good area to decompose a bit would be Ships....Let me select by ship type and/or by faction so I can choose either all cruisers or Caldari ships. Ideally, Caldari Cruisers (For example). Another feature I would like to see is the ability to simply double click or right click the Price field and update directly, rather than having to click the Enter Prices button to update prices. Would make this go a bit faster. That could also carry over to updating blueprint info such as ME/PE.
I think this is a great program. I've used the shyte out of it, and I do really like it. Very well done!
ETA:
If you really want to get fancy maybe you could have it pull data from http://ore.cerlestes.de/index.html#site:trend to find current mineral prices and color code those minerals based on whether the price is trending up or down. |

So after thinking about it it feels like your program is trying to do too much. Quickly, since I have to get out the door... On the Blueprints tab...
Lower right. The mat list is good. Its easy to read, and it shows interesting data. What, how much, total cost. Nice and slick.
Lower left, component list. Nothing I build uses this, but I can definitely see the use. Same as Material list. Good.
Upper left. Not bad. It feels a bit busy. I would like to see the ME/PE fields from the Blueprint tab have the ability to update the BPO itself as well as going through Blueprint manager. Have a Save button below the Refresh perhaps. I'm not sure of the value of all of the time information such as Num Lines and Production Times because these are known numbers when you set up the run in Eve. Its data, but since its known data I dont know if its interesting enough to warrant taking up space in your calculator.
Upper right. This seems like lots of data, but nothing unknown or interesting. Component cost, Mat cost, those are known numbers from setting up the run. Really, the only thing that would be interesting here would be "Cost per unit". It might be interesting if you could set Item cost here as well as through Update Prices, and perhaps drop Comp cost and Mat cost and replace it with Unit cost?
Using the hell out of it, good stuff. :) |

Does the latest version of IPH reflect the new build requirements for mining barges released in Infern 1.2 ? If not, is there an update in the works?

New version. As always, post the bugs/issues/etc here.
Version 2.2
Build 2.2.4604.32102
General
- Updated images to Inferno 1.2
- Updated database to Inferno 1.2_76477
- Users can now read the patch notes file by selecting 'Read Patch Notes' in the About Menu.
- Canceling out of the Select Default Character screen will no longer ask users if you want to load no character if you did not uncheck the currently selected default character.
- Users can now view current Industry Jobs under the View menu.
- The Shopping list will now use the packaged volume for calculating Total Built Volume instead of unpackaged.
Invention Success Monitor
- Users can now see a history of their invention jobs and success rates by selecting the 'Invention Success Monitor' in the Tools Menu.
- The Invention Success Monitor will list jobs attempted between the date range selected. When a blueprint is clicked, it will list the total attempts, successes, the resulting success rate, and expected success rate based on your skills. If a decryptor was used, that will be displayed as well. Currently the API does not list if a Meta item was used so those will not be listed.
- A Corp key is required to see all corporation invention jobs.
- The API only lists a certain number of industry jobs so your total jobs may only go back a few months. As time goes on, IPH will update your industry jobs and save new entries and maintain a history of old jobs.
Blueprint Management
- Users can now directly update the ME and PE values for a listed Blueprint by clicking on the ME or PE Cell. Tabbing to the next row, hitting Enter, or clicking off the row (losing focus) will mark the Blueprint as 'Owned' and save the entered values.
- Users can directly update the Favorite value ('Yes' or 'No') in the listed Blueprints by selecting the column and combo entry for the listing. The same rules for saving and updating ME and PE apply to favorites.
- Implemented Blueprint 'Favorites' which will allow users to mark favorite blueprints for use in the Manufacturing Tab.
- Added "Not Owned" selection to list blueprints that are not marked as owned.
- The default checked setting for all options in the grid will be now unchecked.
- Blueprints saved for different accounts should now display correctly.
Blueprints
- Added Outpost Improvement Platform, Outpost Upgrade Platforms and 'Egg Deployment' data as 'Blueprints'. These items do not have blueprints for deployment but require several materials for building when deployed.
- Outpost Improvement Platform, Outpost Upgrade Platforms and 'Egg Deployment' for outposts is included under the Structures group.
- Required skills to 'Manufacture' Outpost Improvement Platform, Outpost Upgrade Platforms and 'Egg Deployment' items will use deployment skill requirements.
- Added support for Outpost Improvement Platform, Outpost Upgrade Platforms and 'Egg Deployment' for outposts in the shopping list.
- Users can now save ME and PE data entered on the Blueprints Tab by selecting the 'Save BP' button next to the Time Multiplier Combo.
- Users can now directly update the ME, PE, and price values in the Components and Raw materials grids by selecting the appropriate cell. Tabbing to the next row, hitting Enter, or clicking off the row (losing focus) will mark the Blueprint as 'Owned' if it is a manufacturable item or the price if not and save the entered values.
Update Prices Tab
- Added missing price data for items such as Carbon, Janitors, etc in Update Prices for Outpost 'Blueprints'
- Added a Misc. Group to list the following items: Garbage, Spirits, Hydrogen Batteries, Electronic Parts, Plutonium, Carbon, Janitor, Slaves, Quafe
- Users can now select prices by different types for charges and ships by using their respective combo selections.
- Users can now directly update prices in the item list by clicking on the ME or PE Cell. Tabbing to the next row, hitting Enter, or clicking off the row (losing focus) will mark manually save the entered prices.
Manufacturing Tab
- Changed SVR updates to use EVE Market Data (EMD) instead of EVE Marketeer. To ensure the most updated price history for EMD, I suggest upgrading/using EVE Mon 1.7 for unified uploader to contribute data to EMD.
- Users can now save the SVR Threshold value as an empty value thus allowing for all records to show regardless of what the value is.
- Added Blueprint Favorite option to only calculate selected Blueprints.
- Fixed bug that would stop the Item Type Combo from being updated correctly when text was entered into or cleared from the Type Item Filter box.
Mining Tab
- Updated mining ship values for Inferno 1.2 changes. This includes adding options for selecting rigs.
- The hauling m3 will update with the ore or cargo hold of the selected ship when no value is set.
- Added images of selected ships and Mining Foreman Links because it's pretty.
- Removed the Tormentor from Mining ships as it no longer has a mining bonus with Inferno 1.2
- Added the Mining Foreman Link - Mining Laser Field Enhancement and a Miner Stats section to show Mining range of selected options.
- Ore Strip Miners will no longer crash the program when selected.
- Updated selections between ore and ice to be more helpful.
- Ore Isk per hour will now include Heavy water costs to boosting with a Rorqual. If you do not want to include these costs, set the Industrial Configuration skill to zero.

Judas Lonestar wrote: Upper left.
:) In general, most of the stuff you mention was requested by someone else lol. But yeah, I might look at how to clean it up some and make it more user friendly.

edit: I loaded up IPH a few minutes ago and it downloaded a new update, I was thinking "oh cool, Zifrian's way ahead of me", but no, the update apparently did something else. I checked a mackinaw BPC I have in inventory and it requires considerably more raw materials than are listed in the IPH shopping list. I was working on getting the update done for a few hours and had some bugs to iron out. So I'm not sure at what point you downloaded something. It's a full DB update so it'll take a bit to download.
Let me know if you have the version listed above and still see the issue. I did a few checks and the new mineral numbers seem correct for the Mining Barges. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

Ok, I closed the instance of IPH I had running, on restart it updated again. Now when I compare the IPH shopping list with my Mackinaw BPC all the numbers match. Awesome job, Zifrian !
You'll find a little something in your wallet by way of expressing my appreciation.
Now if I could just use my BPC to make a Mackinaw at a profit. Currently the raw materials cost far exceeds the market selling price. Grumble grumble grumble. Hopefully the market won't take long to correct itself. |
