Let's compare what needs to happen for a Doomsday and a normal weapon when warping into a battle:
Normal weapon: -Drop out of warp -Load grid -Lock target -Activate weapon
Doomsday weapon: -Drop out of warp -Activate weapon
Is that so hard to understand ?
Not really. But no one forces you to have all your ships at one place all at once. Gordon
A cyno jammer does, that is the whole thing this topic is about.
Well with your tactics maybe. But splitting 300 man fleet into several small once hitting it more than once is also allowed.
btw arent you using this tactic also in Qy6 with titan + capital support.

Taking down a cynojammer on it's own requires 50+ RRBS together, hitting multiple targets at once would require over 100 RRBS with multiple FCs and they'd have to be around the same time which just doesn't happen.
And yes, of course we're using this tatic in QY6. It's completely broken. You should see our cynojammer pos too, I thought bob's faction deathstars where bad but I'd probably quit the game if all of theirs looked like the one we've got setup.

I forget, I have it bookmarked. You have this thing called a scanner which is pretty helpful though.

Actually that isn't the case with smartbombs and DD (any module that doesn't require a lock). You can verify this yourself by for example using a prototype cloaking device (not covops) as a facsimile of the DD in a situation with heavy lag (minutes or more of): Click warp, wait for approximate time it normally takes your ship to warp to the destination, engage prototype cloak. In the case of 2 minute lag, your ship will not warp for 2 minutes but will after the 2 minutes and engage the cloak in destination grid before you actually load the grid. This is perfectly sensible as the commands are que'd in the laggy situation and there is no additional check in place that you have to have your grid loaded before you can activate a smartbomb/cloak/dd for example. This works for launching fighters etc also. The weapons that need to lock a target first are obviously at a disadvantage since they cannot target things that haven't loaded.

The important part, and the POINT of the whole sentence is highlighted. Thanks for explaining how things work though. The Titan pilot also needs to load properly like all people to be able to click his DD

Your kidding right? The guy is pvping not NPCing. So pre aligning and surrenderring your faith to lag blindly isnt something someone in his right mind would do. What if he needs to cancel warp to adapt ot the battlefield? What if the DD doesnt shoot? what if the module takes more than 2 minutes? u assuming the pilot has a '2 minute 21 sec lag pending prepare to engage module' message or thingy showing. Wait bob is GMs with special clients i forgot sorry. Anyway i just realized i wasted my time arguing about crap WHAT HAVE I DONE OH GOD NOo0o0o0o0o0o0o0.

You're kidding right? It hasn't been serious since 0.0 opened up...
Anyways, cynojammers need to be re-thought and balanced. A module with a huge amount of health, easily defendable by a couple titans, and just as quickly replaced should not take hundreds of billions of isk to take down. If it took hundreds of billions of isk and then the jammer STAYED DOWN for a week: THEN it would be a good balance. The defenders had to actively defend their system and couldn't just re-jam. There's a suggestion, a one week reinforced timer which makes the hundreds of billions of isk in losses worth it.
I'm glad that even both powerblock's know it's an issue that need to be addressed. Some political bashing in here, but relatively focused.

The problem its not the cynojammer. The cynojammer give back to battleships and regular fleet some importance, make eve not so much Capitalships online.
The problem is the doomsday device. Remove the DD feat from Titans, replace with new feats.
Removing the DD also solve the future problem when multiple DD's will kill even capital fleets.

Still involves blobs, the home team will have an advantage with titans still, but it does open things up a little, Especially if people are clever enough to pull dummy attacks.
Any ideas for enhancing, please post them
